  1. Turmeric ginger cinnamon tea sounds amazing!
  2. I love chamomile but can only drink it at night because it makes me sleepy. I'm enjoying a cup of Winterzeit (wintertime) now
  3. I love that @wildone's prompt is the most read surreal comedy. Go prompts! 😁
  4. I love ginger lemon tea. I like it when teas come with sayings on them.
  5. Thank you, Review Team, for giving us all these great reviews!
  6. Thank you!
  7. My resolution this year is to walk more so I don't die when I take my vacation across the pond this year. Have I started on it? Aw hell no!
  8. Yup. April first, since April is National Poetry Month. I may adjust the due date by a day or two since I am taking a major trip in April and want to have everything all set to go before I leave.
  9. Even though we're only days into the new year, we've already kicked off our year of amazing writing events with our tribute to Carlos Hazday. If you haven't checked it out yet, be sure to do so. We have several other exciting writing events in the works, including a poetry anthology and our annual anthology. We will be holding another secret author contest as well. There are some really cool prompt-related events coming down the pipeline as well, so stay tuned for further information regarding all these opportunities to feature your writing! I am working on updating the poetry anthology guidelines, so stay tuned for that announcement. I will also be looking for volunteers to serve on a committee to select the theme for the annual anthology. If you are interested in volunteering, please send me a PM.
  10. As far as the future format of AAA... how about a hybrid of what you mentioned? Mix up featuring the submitted questions with questions you send to random authors?
  11. What is your favorite story/collection on Gay Authors? It's really hard to choose, but In the Fishbowl by Domluka is one of my favorites. What is your favorite food? That's an easy one... PIZZA! If you could accomplish one thing for 2024, what would it be? I'd really like to work on the novel I started a while ago. I got a few chapters in, then life stuff happened.
  12. Thank you! Yes, me too. He is definitely missed.
  13. Aww... thank you so much
  14. Thank you so much Yeah, we all wish the same thing.

  18. I've read and commented on all the tributes. Wow... what a great group of stories, poems, letters, and remembrances - all unique and different, yet focused on the common theme of remembering Carlos. There are some real gems here. I think Carlos is looking down on us and smiling. At least I hope he is. Words can't convey the gratitude I am feeling right now for such an incredible community here.

    A Step Beyond

This comment got me. *grabs the box of tissues* @JACC This is heartfelt, poignant, and a great remembrance of our friend gone too soon. Thank you for sharing it with us
  20. Valkyrie

    Chapter 1

The 'wow' reaction was because of the fact that these are your first stories written with original characters. I thought these were both very well-written with great characterization. I would highly encourage you to write more. Maybe for the anthology? Carlos was a great supporter of GA's anthology. If Carlos read these, I'm willing to bet he would also be encouraging You can't edit stories that are in anthology categories. I can make the above edit for you, if you want me to.
  21. A poignant letter to a friend gone too soon. Thank you for sharing and participating in the tribute.
  22. The power in these started at the beginning and continued to build to a perfect crescendo! These verses capture the spirit of Carlos perfectly! Well done, and thank you for sharing these with us
  23. Valkyrie

    Chapter 1

These are both great tributes that capture Carlos well! I especially like the last line - You should have known. That's Carlos... unapologetic and right to the point! Thank you for sharing and participating.
  24. Yes, most definitely! I wish I had worked harder to make our schedules work
