  1. Great interview! It makes me want to go read the story now.
  2. There are more. Not everyone has posted their links yet, and stories are still trickling in.
  3. I'm sorry you're going through all this. Fingers crossed for good news
  4. Don't forget to send this to the proof team so we can be sure it's included
  5. Here's some cowboys as your birthday prezzie
  6. I have several sets of prompt dice with pictures on them, and you roll them to come up with characters, settings, and totally random sh**. My BFF gave me something called The Writer's Toolbox that has several different types of prompts in it. I have a bunch of prompt books, including one where you randomly flip three different page sets to come up with a scenario. I also have sets of cards to randomly generate prompts. This is not counting the "literacy corner" I have at work that is full of games and activities to work on literacy skills. At lot of those things can be used as prompts. I have a bit of an obsession.
  7. You can never have too many prompt materials
  8. Having trouble coming up with a story idea for the anthology? Then consider checking out some writing prompts. There are many sources of writing prompts. I have a whole box of prompt materials in a box in a cabinet. I've gotten them from a variety of places - Amazon, book stores, or as gifts. When I get stuck, pulling out some of these materials is a great way to get the muse started again. GA also has a vast repository of prompt ideas from Comicfan's prompts to the current Prompt Team prompts. You can check them out here by clicking on the Prompt tag: Guidelines for the current anthology can be found here:

Thank you! That is my hope.
  10. I am the Queen of Procrastination. I tend to work best under pressure; sometimes I need a deadline in order to get anything accomplished. Sometimes I leave things to the last minute because I have no choice. I have so much on my plate, I need to prioritize what needs to be done first. Kind of like a triage of my schedule. I do this at work all the time, since I am the only person currently in my department (not from lack of trying to get more help, but that's a completely different topic). Fitting people in for emergency assessment when my schedule barely allows me time for lunch is an art form. Or an exercise in futility. Sometimes both. Anyway, I am writing this blog right before I need to publish it, so I thought procrastination would make a great theme for some prompts. PT Prompt #165 You have a presentation due at work tomorrow for an idea that could revolutionize the company you work for. It's 9:00 pm and you haven't even started it yet. Why haven't you started it and what is the outcome the next day? PT Prompt #166 Your best friend has set you up on a blind date. You are a chronically late person and get to the restaurant a half hour late. What happens when you arrive? Reminder: We welcome guest prompts, so if you have an idea for a prompt, please send it to me, @Aditus, or @Cole Matthews and we'll be sure to feature it in a future blog. Please include the prompt number either in your story/chapter description or title to help readers who would like to search for specific prompts. Also, please remember that stories less than one thousand words must be posted as part of a collection If you check the subgenre 'prompt' in your story tags, then people/readers can find everything here: https://gayauthors.org/stories/browse/subgenre/prompt/
  11. Thank you to all who have submitted stories for the Leap of Faith anthology so far! Keep 'em comin'! There's still time to get a story written and sent to the anthology Proof Team. Remember that stories can have a tangential link to the theme; they don't need to hit us over the head with it. I will be spending this weekend working on my story Now get writing! 😁
  12. Marc and Sawyer! Definitely! 😁 And OMG I want to scoop them all up and hug them simultaneously!

    Thank you!
  15. I would never sic my wild boar phalanx on our resident coyote cub! They're reserved for crazy Canadians
  16. @astone2292 Don't let him fool you. He'd be one releasing the group of wild boars
  17. I couldn't guess because I already knew the answer, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what's next!
  18. Happy Birthday, Happy GA-versary, and congrats on 100 stories! What a month of milestones!
  19. Thanks, Bill! Please post the link in the links thread so I have everything in one place.
  20. The submission date for anthology stories to the proof team is fast approaching. The proof team is already hard at work putting the finishing touches on several exciting anthology submissions. It's not too late to start writing, especially if you're like me and have to wait till the last minute to do anything! I thought it would be a good idea to re-feature the anthology guidelines and the anthology 101 FAQ. Please feel free to ask here, in the anthology forum, or send me a PM if you need anything clarified or have any further questions. Now I better get writing, especially if I want to get two stories written!
  21. Nothing is dumber than sheep. And I will not look upon trash pandas the same now... I bet @northie never thought their interview would become a discussion about what animal they're best suited to be
  22. I think a cat would be perfect, but they definitely munch on other creatures. Cjames is our resident goat, so that animal is taken. Maybe a raccoon? Trash pandas are pretty clever. Although I think they eat fish...
