Carlos was a great supporter of the anthology, by writing stories for it, editing for other anthology authors, and encouraging authors to participate and readers to read. I will discuss this idea with the other admins, but supporting the anthology in general would be a great way to honor him.

This month a rare astronomical occurrence is taking place... a blue moon! Not only is it a blue moon, but also a supermoon. So what is a blue moon? While it is possible for the moon to appear blue under certain conditions, a blue moon is actually an extra full moon that occurs within a season. Generally two full moons in one month. A supermoon happens when the moon is close to earth and appears larger than normal. Now that we're all educated on lunar occurrences, let's go howl at the moon and see what inspiration this week's prompts stir up. PT Prompt #159: You work in retail and your boss has the brilliant idea to run a "midnight madness" sale on the night of the blue supermoon. What craziness, if any, happens? PT Prompt #160: You are taking a walk in a local park when a naked man runs up to you, snarling and wild-eyed, and bites you on the arm, drawing blood. He grins at you and tells you that he's a werewolf, and you will be too when the next full moon rises, then he runs off, howling. You're more worried about diseases than actually turning into a wolf. Mauro knew exactly what he was doing and got the reaction he wanted from Gideon. Gideon has built a defense mechanism around himself in response to all the trauma he's suffered in life and unlife. He's protecting himself from future hurt. He has feelings for Kavan, whether he wants to admit it or not. The jealous reaction, then jumping in front of Kavan when there was apparent danger... methinks the Christmas tree doth protest too much.... I can't wait to see how everything plays out and what the Conte needs Kavan's skills for.

No snippets from me, but I will tease with what I have in the works... Story one - will feature Damiano and Patrick from my story Accused. It will be from Damiano's perspective. Story two - will solve the mystery of Cloud Rider from my secret author story I guess that means I have to get writing!

Who's getting excited for the annual GA Anthology? The deadline for submission to the Proof Team is October first, which is approaching fast. It's only six and a half weeks away! 😮 We accept submissions at any time, so send on your stories as soon as they are finished. I've started threads in the Anthology forum for the guidelines, discussion, and links to stories. I'm hoping to have two stories this time around, so fingers crossed I can get them both finished in time. Who else has an anthology story or two in the works? Let us know and please post any teasers you'd like. If you haven't already done so, please RSVP to the anthology event so we have an idea of how many stories the proof team can expect. Hellmans Real Mayo is the only mayonnaise I will eat. I'm something of a mayo connoisseur. When I was a kid, I wouldn't eat meat unless I had a glob of mayo on the plate to dip it in. BTW, Best Foods and Hellmans is the same thing. For some reason, they call it Best Foods west of the Mississippi.

Bacon gravy is the nectar of the gods 🤤 Who knew gravy was such a polarizing topic?

Sausage gravy is typically cream-based, but other gravies should be made with a roux of flour and water. At least that's how I've always made them. Maybe commercial gravies add dairy.

I went to a diner once and ordered their open-faced roast beef sandwich and fries and told the waitress I wanted the plate covered in gravy. She gave me a funny look and laughed. I was serious. She brought me the plate with gravy on the sandwich, but not the fries. Gravy up that plate, woman! I asked for extra gravy and she ended up having to bring me like two things of it so I could douse my fries in it. Apparently gravy fries aren't a thing everywhere.

I think it's impossible not to like anything made from scratch with pork fat.
