My dear Gary: it has been such a delight to comeback to GA after 3 years and re-discover your consummate skill as a story teller. I so enjoyed Malaise, and I surely do hope you will write sequels to this. I’m also thoroughly enjoying Sidewinder, Song and Dance, and Cards on the Table. I am proud to be a fellow Canadian.....please promise me you won’t give up writing these incredible stories, and produce lots more! Cheers, Coral

Beautifully and poignantly written. The love you shared.....the fun you had. What beautiful memories you have to sustain you through the darkness. Thank you for sharing.

You’ll Never Want to Leave
Coastguard commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in You’ll Never Want to Leave
It’s been quite a while since I let myself enjoy your writing, tim....nothing to do with you or your writing, sort of my own protest of the changes made to gayauthors.com. All that aside, I’m really enjoying this story. Can’t make up my mind if it’s a fantasy or fairy tale. Doesn’t matter...it’s GOOD! -
Great chapter, Mark. One editing comment: in this sentence, I’m concerned about keeping our distance, but I do not see how sharing information at that level will cause us undo problems,” JP said. Undo should be undue.

I did enjoy this chapter....it's great Mark is back on track with the story. One spelling error I have to comment on is the misspelled word "broach". It should be "brooch".
-
My dear tim...this chapter shows exactly why you're a Promising Author. Really powerfully moving. I can't help but be angry at Don for wanting to live so dangerously. Very well done. Bring on the rest of the chapters!

I don't know why I've waited so long to read The Hollow Hills. I finished up to and including Ch. 20 in one sitting in one night. Very well written, and really gripping! Can't wait for the rest of it. I hope Galen and Josh have a HEA, and that I don't get to meet Jamie or Galen's parents, who IMHO deserve to be shot!. Thanks Valkyrie...a very good story!

And the exciting story continues! One grammar thing that sort of bothers me. During the phone call to Tom, Jeff said, "I think you will agree this phone call was necessary. Paul and Maria are living with me since Josh Morgan burned their house down last night. We figure since Paul's Explorer was parked in the drive Morgan probably believed they was both inside." Given that Jeff is an educated lawyer, I can't see him making a grammar mistake like that. However, rest assured it doesn't detract from the story!

I'm really enjoying this story, Jim! It flows really well, and I can't wait for new chapters!

Guess What! You Won't Make It To Fifty
Coastguard commented on Mikiesboy's blog entry in Mikiesboy's Blog
It's taken me this long to get over the shock of your news. I am very, very fond of you darling boy...it's just not fair. You make damn sure you NEVER give up. My husband was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia in 1985, was told that he probably wouldn't see the nineties AND that it would be a secondary disease that would kill him. WRONG AND WRONG! He died in 2006 of CLL when he was 72. Keep your chin up, tim. Keep those great stories coming. -
Great story...just a tad confused. Is the villainous swimmer's name Paul or Pete, or is there someone else lurking about??
-
tim, my dear...this is such a wonderfully gentle fairy tale. I really loved it, and found myself smiling while reading it. Don't worry, you certainly did this type of story proud. Hugs!
-
Ah SkinnyD...I am so very sorry about your rotten news. You are so very young for this to happen. It's just not fair. Please know, like Lisa, I've loved you since you first burst on the scene. And that love continues!
-
Ah Gary! What a sweet sweet story...I absolutely LOVE the way you write. I've always enjoyed cowboy stories, and this one was exceptionally well written! Cheers Coral

I seriously think you need an editor. You make too many mistakes...you instead of your, other misspellings, incorrect use of words, etc. Which makes an otherwise good story hard to follow. Sorry!
-
How great to have you writing again, Mark. And writing as good as ever I hasten to add. BTW I pm'd you back in August, but it appears you haven't read it. I most likely did something wrong! Good to have you back.
-
IMHO you owe this man nothing, and your brother should know this. He was really just a sperm donor who never gave you the least bit of love, and doesn't deserve your forgiveness. However...having gotten THAT off my chest...if you DO decide you want to do this it shows how big your heart is. Whatever you decide is the right thing to do. Hugs

As usual...great writing, tim! Hopefully Dave and Jae will be able to overcome the gang that is approaching. His rifle should help. Bring on Ch.3!
-
I LIKE this story! I like the possibilities, i.e. Sherry's parents will probably try to get Chet away etc. But won't succeed. We do have to have a HEA!
-
Dear tim...you just cannot quit. To be honest, I'm not a really huge fan of poetry, the exception being yours. You're not pretentious, just very honest, and I DO enjoy reading ANYTHING you produce.
-
Loved this story...you write so well, Tim. Just one prolly unimportant thing. In the first paragraph you talk about his palette having changed. The correct spelling should be palate, which has to do with taste. The one you used is to do with an artists colours.

Black Widow (Story Discussion)
Coastguard replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
Does anybody find it strange and worrisome that Mark hasn't been online since June 10? Westie? Jeremy? -
Black Widow (Story Discussion)

I do NOT agree that I am "haranguing" Mark. I believe I was pleading with a well loved author to at least let us know if all is ok. Yes, he is unpaid, but...he writes his stories not for himself, but for our enjoyment, and I thus reserve the right to ask....Wassup?? -
Black Widow (Story Discussion)
Coastguard replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
So...here I go again. Seems like my only topic of conversation is...WHERE THE HELL IS MARK!! Really? Nothing since January on Valiant?? Nothing since June on Black Widow? Mark...you have over 24,500 reputation points. Very impressive! How'd you get them? From people like me who love your writing. Unfortunately there's not been much to love OR like for quite a while. If you're fed up with writing these stories, let us know, let us go so we can focus on other authors and stories. Of course I would prefer to read updates on Valiant and BW. Now as I read over this post I start to panic. Am I being too harsh? Is he, heaven forfend, sick or injured? Can't SOMEBODY let us know?? PLEASE! -
Hmmm. Since he hasn't posted a Valiant chapter since JANUARY (!!!) I would think he must have circumnavigated the earth a couple of times by now.
