A poem that hits me right in the heart. It tells me you've battled this before, which is sad, but also hopeful since you now know dawn is coming. I hope it's here. -
The idea of free will and being given a choice seems more and more like only pretty words... How is Noel supposed make a choice with two other souls already firmly on the king's side influencing him? At the same time, how do anyone really know why they are attracted to someone? Or fall in love? So since we are all driven by unknown forces in matters of the heart, I guess it might not be such a big difference. It will be harder for Noel to know if it's his feelings or the feelings of the other souls.

I'm intrigued by Jenson's past and the news he's so desperate to hear. Could it be a possible cure for the brown eyed vampire? I also think it's a family member, but not a lover. To me, it seems what ever happened in the past has put Jenson's life on hold, sort if. And Merrick... Crushing on his vampire idol from an early age.. Almost reminds me of another young human falling for a slightly unwilling vamp, or what do you say, sis? LOL

I feel I understand Chris much better now. Him wanting to follow the rules, because that's what they promised in his mind has nothing to do with the rules about being gay. I believe he's right. I delt bad for what he did to Jason, but if he had let Jason ruin everything for Gary, there's a high risk Jason would have regretted it for a very long time. Now, Gary could come out on his own, which is how it should be. For Gary to get that reaction from his mom was amazing! He can truly return with honor, being true to himself and the people he loves. And God.

Right about now his friends need to explain a few things... And they need to stop treating him so horribly. He was just attacked by what he would see as a monster! Not very nice friends.

It's so sad to read how much he hates himself. Believing his father's cruel words. And then to see him watch from afar how other kids can have fun and enjoy life, without anything serious to worry about. He needs someone who cares for him. Right about now would be a good time...

They all have some serious thinking to do. Except Chris who seems to be a step ahead all the time. I wonder what his plan is? To get them all out on the mission and away from all those prying eyes? I hope Luke stands up for Gary, but I have a feeling he will. He might have been a bit aggressive at first, but he seems genuine in his concern for Gary. -

I feel you capture the struggle to unite the outer fixings of the church with the true meaning of God and faith. All too often it's the grandeur and worldly glory that are deemed important and not the actual core values of religion. Very powerful. -
Some choice... "Sure, you're free to decline of course. That only means that the king will die. No biggie!" Nice to have that on his young shoulders... But does this mean there are two other souls in him? Or are they waiting for a good time to merge? Also a very comforting discovery... I'll keep reading for sure!

Dark and angry, but very true and heartfelt! I think you should keep exploring these emotions. They make for excellent poems, even if they bring up bad memories.Might be good to put hem in writing to get them out, I love that you make us feel how you feel meeting these predators.
