I've missed these guys! Good to see Mick back in his home, so he can reassure his sister and mother that he is fine. Guy is right, they will need to work at their relationship a bit to avoid misunderstandings and set some ground rules. But my guess is they'll have ever so much fun exploring the possibilites. Until some nasty, evil fae show up to try and finish Mick... But some sort of resolution is inevitable. Question is when...

Difficult to decide if Tobias is being defiant to preserve a corner of himself or provocative to get just the right reaction from Zai. His innocence has more to do with inexperience than inclination. Their power balance is interesting. Zai put that chain around his neck so impulsively, perhaps revealing more of his own desires than he planned.

Very interesting chapter. I always thought Zai and Tobias were the most equally matched in darkness and here we get to see it laid out in front of us. Zai doesn't know what drew him to Tobias, but I think more than a shared empath-trait it is that darkness.

This version is so different it barely feels like the same story. The first I read felt more like a dream, with chunks left out and a lot of the story happening off page almost. I like this one too, since it provides more detail and flesh out (pun...?) the characters. It will be interesting to get to know Tobias a bit more. He always was the most secretive of them. Maybe he'll reveal more of himself.

Kohen probably can't believe he's that important to anyone, so to him slipping away should be harmless. But he's obviously wrong. Will he dare establish the bond once more?

Now that seems very dire... Poor Kohen having to make that decision on his own. Perhaps sacrificing himself. He doesn't hold himself in very high regard, but to fry himself...?

Oh wow! Some score settling! I hope the circuits weren't too integrated in his constitution.

Two can play the game of deceit... Kohen is stronger than he appears. Maybe he found a way to override the implanted controls?

Is Tristan's family really his family...? I'm having serious doubts here.

So Captain once again went it alone without involving Kohen...? But maybe it's a wise choice, if the attacker can still read Kohen. If they can handle this threat once and for all, it was probably a good choice.

Uh-oh... That does not sound good. Trouble and perhaps the final show down. Too bad it's a surprise. Not the best preparation.

Kohen is turning into a good parent, despite circumstances. Chomper will grow to an impressive being with his guidance. If he only trusts himself.

I can get the exhaustion of never getting to rest. And tiny hands in long hair is not foreign to me. I sympathize.

Having been here a while, I've seen some really sad stories unfold. As I'm also a sceptic at heart, I usually keep from getting sucked in. At the same time, if it's a person I've interacted with, I do try to be sympathetic and give them the benefit of a doubt. Reading between the lines, it seems to me some of these people have never had the attention they get here. It can be addictive. It's not an excuse, since playing with other people's hearts is cruel. Still, it's easier to let go if I find an explanation. It's great you work so hard to keep them off site. It would be sad if distrust kept us from finding true friends here. It is a leap of faith to trust an online presence, but they can turn out to be some of the best people you ever met. (Just hope my BFF feels the same way. 😉)

In Sweden, kids have ten weeks off, from second week of June until third week of August. This year Stockholm schools started Aug 19.
