Becky is right. Family is from the heart, though I can see certain cases where pants (Or the removing thereof) are a part. But not exclusively. We choose family as well. If you can be open to the possibility.

Keeping a secret like that from the Devil himself... Risky move. Interesting to hear about Zai's background. But it's true.Tobias should know what he's getting himself into. I'm really curious about why the gifting to Mattias went so horribly wrong...? Was the Devil against it? If so, why? A happy Nassau too powerful?

Now, didn't I tell you a good talk would do wonders? Great job, guys. Good for Tobias to take such steps to accept himself. And Nassau is quite remarkable. He could easily have become a complete monster from his immense sorrow, but instead he shows compassion.

Well, hello there, my Prince. What an honour for Tobias. But also slightly scary. Is he ready for personal contact with Nassau? And is Nassau willing to do some couples counselling? That would be a sight. Three empaths sitting quietly staring at each other until one of them storms off in a huff. They need to communicate. And Tobias needs to accept and embrace his own appetites. Scary as they may be.

"To eat with the other demons of the house." Very telling. Tobias might not be a born and bred demon like the rest of the house but it sure is in his nature to be one. That kitchen must a dream for him. So much fun cooking there.

So much fun to rediscover Hell. And also get to see the demons from Tobias' pov. Kiorl is not happy with an empath, as is to be expected. That made me chuckle. Would be fun with a map of Hell. Too bad I can't draw at all...

Kohen and Captain sure are entitled to some quality alone time. And Chomper will be fine. At least, he can't be kept hidden away anymore. So, even if letting go is hard, it has to be done. Thank you for this thrilling story! I can't believe it's been two years... I enjoyed it immensely.

So here we get to see what I suspected. Zai and Tobias are more similar than different from each other, though of course Zai has greater physical strength from supernatural powers. Tobias has such mental strength, he'll give Zai a run for his money for sure. I look forward to seeing the first meeting at home. -
Precarious Jenny's only link is with Fran, who is powerful but still a young child. Will she be able to relay any information? Contact is sorely needed.

I get the feeling they've had this conversation before. Now, after being on the brink of death, maybe it'll be for real. It better be. Learning is tough, but this was a particularly hard earned lesson.
