    Chapter 7

lol I was originally going to ask if I left you speechless Thank you Dr.P for the fix. Corey has been slow to have these revelations, but a big part of that was probably also the distance. It's easy to keep introspection on the back burner if you never see the object of your ire. Corey's father... yeah, his part to play in this could cause some waves. Thank you for your support and your lovely review, Def.

    Chapter 7

I honestly don't think Corey had any real deep-seated feelings towards Zach, so it was easy to dismiss the guy's behaviour because, in the end, Zach didn't matter to him. Yes, Corey wanted to be treated well, and in hindsight was embarrassed about how allowed himself to be treated, but he always knew that he was allowing it. Sometimes loneliness (and horniness) can cause people to make some bad decisions. Thank you for your review and your support, Parker

No, its never good to be locked in the past, especially when the only person truly hurt by your anger and bitterness is you. Thank you for your review and your support, Puppi

    Chapter 7

It is good that Zach hasn't reacted violently. It can sometimes go that way. Corey will defend himself, but physical violence just isn't in his nature, so its very like him to have remorse over what happened. I think its good they're going slow too. Corey is still pretty gun shy where Jason is concerned. Thank you for your support and your review, lux_apollo.

lol I guess it is easier to look good if the bar you're set against is so low. lol Thank you for your review and your support, Reader

    Chapter 7

I think you're right, and Corey was so upset about the betrayal because he could never imagine Jason being 'that guy'. They problem with pedestals is that the person on them usually didn't ask to be there. I don't think Corey had any true emotional connection with Zach, and didn't really hold any allusions about their relationship. I believe Corey thought they were f#@& buddies without being buddies. Looking back now Corey is ashamed about what he allowed himself to put up with and is probably surprised at how well Jason compares. I doubt he expected that. Thank you for your review and your support, spikey.

    Chapter 7

lol Zazh was a pretty abrasive guy, and he wasn't fun to have in my head either. I really happy you liked the flashback. I had the picture clear in my head, and the fact that it translated well on the page is gratifying to hear. Thank you for all of your support, and your review, Dugh.

    Chapter 7

Old grudges tend to find a way to attach themselves deep inside and can be tough to shake. I think Corey is trying to get past his. It's an important step in this character for me. Letting go would free him from that negativity, even if nothing comes of it besides being able to become passing acquaintances with Jason. As for the journey? I can't really say, but I'm very happy you've decided to come along for the ride
  10. Each of these was very poignant in there own ways. The first poem, Still, made me teary, because I feel what you're feeling. It's a loss that can blindside you again and again in many small ways. Number 2... there are some things that can never be healed, even if they are forgiven.

    Chapter 18

Wow that was a battle of the Doms. I think though that Carlos has a more personal stake here and there was no way he was going to back down. I know its early for them yet, but I hope Daniel is able to start trusting Carlos more.
  12. It's amazing how some family members can be so accepting and supportive, but other... even the ones who should be the first in line to support you. I have known a few people who have turned their back on older children.. and in some cases even young children... because of a new relationship. It's incredibly sad that this happened with Peter's mother. I wonder if her husband is so controlling that he'll prevent her from attending her son's wedding? It's wonderful to see the Patrick and Peter opening up more to each other. They might love each other, and it did happen quickly, but a sustainable relationship relies on communication and honesty, and I think these two have a good handle on that. Oh I love Droughtquake's Team Michael idea
  13. I loved the explanation you gave for Kellar's ability. It gives us what his perspective is, but also leaves some mystery, because he doesn't even know why he can do what he does. The internal struggle that Tobyn is having was also fascinating. I agree with jt_hooks who said that Tobyn really has the makings of an alpha. He's so concerned about his pack/family that he's willing to forego his own happiness and desires for the greater good. Don't get me wrong, I hope he finally allows himself to embrace his attraction to Kellar, but I can see it's going to be a struggle for him. Another great chapter, Gary! Looking forward to their arrival on pack lands.
  14. The raw emotion in both of these poems bring tears to my eyes. Alone really speaks to me. I know that feeling of being all alone in a crowd. Those barriers might be self-imposed, but that doesn't make them any easier to knock down. You are, as always, a master of the written word.

    Chapter 6

Thank you! Corey is trying to work past his anger. I think he's realized now, thanks to his friends, that he's hung on to the anger for too long. Whether or not they will advance from acquaintances to friends would be up to Jason now, as much as it's up to Corey. Thank you again for your review, and your support, Robert.

    Chapter 7

Chapter 7 Corey loved to run. It helped him organize his thoughts and clear his head. As his feet ate up the pavement, he allowed his mind to wander over the last couple of months. So much had happened since Drew’s wedding. One of the major changes was Jason. Now that he knew they lived in the same city, it seemed as though he saw the man everywhere. The big blonde would be leaving an aisle at the grocery store when Corey entered, or would be walking into his favourite coffee shop as C
  17. I do love CE. His answers were what I expected out of someone such a strong sense of duty.

    Chapter 6

You're right, staying angry with someone can be hard work.. and a lot of effort to put into someone else. Maybe seeing him around more will allow Corey to put some of the past behind him and move on. Whether they become friends, become something more, or to walk away amicably remains to be seen.
  20. I love these two, but I would so kill Faris for that. haha. Maybe it's good that he doesn't listen to James though, and takes him out of his comfort zone. I love the RomZomCom... did they watch 'Warm Bodies'? Love that one
  21. Congratulations Albert!!

    Chapter 6

It's true, that if Jason's ex hadn't hurt him, he might not have learned. Some people need hard lessons before they change or see the damage they've caused though... and I think Jason is one of those people. He hurt someone and was hurt by someone... I think he learned from that experience and grew as a person. As I've mentioned in other responses to reviews, it may seem a little rushed, but they have run into each other several times since the wedding, and have spoken more than once. At this point Corey is used to seeing Jason, and has had time to process what happened at the wedding and what Pierre and Drew have said to him. Corey is also a naturally caring person, so leaving Jason there, hurt, wouldn't have been an option for him. Thank you for your review and your support, jay... although I suspect there is a pitchfork meant for Jason in your hands

    Chapter 6

The setting, Kingston, is a real city, but in my fictional world, it is a pretty small city, and they would run into each other often in the business core and other areas. You're right, although Corey had written Jason off, Jason still considered Corey his friend. Pierre was the aggrieved party, but with Corey's history with his father he's taking this harder than he might have normally. Thank you for your review, and for sticking around for the ride
