    Evocative poems, Adi. I don't think we are ever prepared to be diagnosed with covid. It's a surreal feeling. I'm not a fan of grocery stores, so using outside pickup for mine is a remnant of the pandemic I like. #8 speaks to my routines. I touch the same trees on my walks in my woods, and I sit in the same place if I sit at all. Wonderful, and sad. I don't like to see things change is such profound ways, yet I trim trees all the time. #9 is maddening. Culture wars are fed by bigotry and ignorance. Imagine being ignorant in this day and age. Mortifying. Thanks for the journey, Adi. Cheers!

    Thank you, Albert! Me too. it actually was meant for a Book 2, but I changed my mind. There is a sweetness to these two and their story arc.

    My coffee would be diluted by big, fat tears. What an emotional scene between Miss Sybil and Arthur. After that, we needed the hilarity of Tilly and Logan. Something that might be missed in this is that Miss Sybil has regained her powers as a seer, and that is a huge development for the pack. All aspects of the packs are becoming stronger.

    Thanks, buddy. I guess being an Alpha has its perks. Glad you enjoyed that scene. I loved the first meeting of Delia and Hutch. Just imagine the anticipation of both of them after finding out they actually have been blessed with an earth mate. And then to finally meet. It was a moment that deserved just a little privacy.

    I thought it was important to show that love is love, regardless of mates. Ulrich and Millie kind of broke my heart, but mostly because they lost their three children. "Mountain man. That’s who he was. Tobyn’s mountain man." When Kellar thinks this, it grounds him. It's who he will always be, no matter what others see when they look at him. I just love that part. Vega made the right choice, but what's most important is that they all believe it.

    Kellar finally accepted his role in saving shifters. It isn't about ego... it is that he saw the need, and he saw his responsibility in getting Vega where they need to be. I remember writing his speech, and it was almost like I was channeling Kellar. It just poured out, so maybe the earth mother was directing me too. Personally, I love this chapter for how it challenged me as a writer... bringing a reluctant Kellar to accept his destiny, and having readers understand the process. Thank you, buddy, for being so engaged with this story. It is rewarding for me.

    This was the thing I most looked forward to, giving Miss Sybil back her mate. I was so worried someone would figure it out ahead of time, but fortunately, no one did. Thanks for the kind words about this chapter, buddy. I'm very pleased with the healing... it still reads really well to me. I'm just going to say very few would actually understand how much thought I put into these things, the healings and the progression of the facts--how much hard work it was--and when someone asks for a Book 2, I have to be absolutely certain I can do it again. It would be a hell of a commitment to make. Meaningful healing? Yes... I absolutely agree.
