    That's a great comment tim! What's funny is that in my 18 Weeks, which has a plethora of teenage characters, most appropriately clueless, the most complaints I get are from that exact cluelessness. I guess in fiction, readers want the characters to know everything, whereas in real life (especially at 15) you only have small pieces and have to make your best guess about the rest.

    Thanks jess! I think Randy and Alex have that type of relationship. Something tells me this sort of thing goes on often. She even kicked him in the ass in the hall. Also, I don't think he's the slightest bit interested in outing David to Alex. Yes, Gary got the word out nice and fast. Maybe Ginny can figure something out. She might even get Twoey to do some observing that she's unable to. That is, as long as David and Twoey stay around each other. Now Tommy is the guy who can do the closest observation. But nobody's asking him!

    Very nice Gary! Both the last chapter and the entire story. The star-crossed lovers who actually did achieve a life together. The theme of two guys who always wanted each other, were duped into acceptance of it never happening, and then have it washing them together, like a flood of atonement from whatever God they angered, was well wrought. (Sorry, I just couldn't resist keeping our feet in the water. ) A great part about your ending is all the i's are not dotted and all the t's not crossed. So our imagination (or some future plan of yours) will carry everything forward. Thanks for giving us a great story!!

    The story has dark overtones, but this was a rollicking fun chapter - just what was needed at this point! I loved all your descriptions - each scene had a clear image - the car - the mall - the haircut - the fight - the car. A lovely cycle. Thanks for this Milos!

    For sure welcome Geoff! I've been reading Johnny and even though the first couple chapters were rough (on my innocent Dragon psyche), I stuck with it and now look forward to each new episode. I feel sorry for you though. It appears one of you reading binges involved 18 Weeks which is A LOT of binging! Welcome to GA!

    Thanks for the great comments AC! It's interesting to me you selected those three scenes. My intended scenes were actually #1, #3 and #5. So perhaps there is a little leakage? Which is good, as it would indicate a fence breaking down. I also think it's interesting to compare your take on Toph 'going with the flow' as (re)acting differently to different people. In jess's review it was 'why does everyone feel obligated to give him advice' and consider him somehow helpless. Is Toph that much of an enigma?

    Thanks for the great review Rex! I like your read on Oscar. In regard to the thaw with Gary, Toph certainly seems to be opening up, but cautiously. We probably know too little about Ian to come to any conclusions, but he's there for a reason, right? Nothing happens for nothing in Skinnyland. I'm not sure Toph has written Niles off (except as a lover) as much as not expecting him to (choose to) be around Toph in the future. So anything could happen. Formal speech could signify his continued aloofness (even with himself). I'm glad you mentioned it because if we see speech patterns change, it could be significant.

    Excellent chapter Tim! All the "family" parts are all coming together. The little back-and-forth with Michael and even the back-and-forth with Peter. As I read it, I saw Peter being more as "acting" whiny than actually "being" whiny. After all, he knew he was pushing Patrick into that KissingKorner. Maybe it's just all my experience with ball-busters, Thanks for this!

    Thanks Parker! Great comments. "Screams" is right. I'm glad you brought up the obsession with control. Also, as spikey pointed out, probably has something to do with denial of his own sexuality, even though he's not gay-hostile (which btw he could easily HAVE been). I guess the worry (if we like David) is what will happen if he: A - begins to remember, B - does gay things, or C - both! C'mon, can Alex be stopped?

    Thanks spikey! I love your rants. Really!! What will happen if David begins to remember? Do you think he will agree with you on Daddy's failures? We saw how he could jettison his Mother. How differently do you think Daddy will fare? Whatever happened to the young David must have been somehow traumatic and could certainly explain a lot about his behavior at 15. Can he overcome it? Twoey better put that in his nightly prayers.

    Hey Lisa! Thanks for the review. My bad for having another pair of brothers with the same first letter. Cory is David's age and seems to be with Randy a lot. idk if they're bfs yet. Curt is his younger bro and Mark's age. btw Matty thinks Mark and Curt are ultimately straight and just fooling around @13. Now you see how Chuck, self-proclaimed completely gay, could be in for an interesting "ride" The backstory of a young Liz, David and the church crew leaves a lot of questions. Probably any answer we come up with is "icky," to quote Liz. Daddy is another issue. Slapping an 8yo and calling her a liar and a sinner probably gives us insight into TWWFWRN. Maybe everything we need to (or want to) know.

    Thanks for the great comments Def! Aw ...you're getting awfully angry at dear old Dad. Wait until David catches up with you. Your wish for the Twoey/Alex visit will come true on (David's) Sunday. That ought to be entertaining. Luckily, Randy will be there too and will give us an unbiased(?) description! Tommy thinks David might be gay but isn't sure. So was he testing? Was he hoping Alex could turn him straight? We can only guess at Tommy Logic.

    "We were a happy family?" I think that explains everything we need to know about your first paragraph concerns. David's inability to remember specific events from his childhood is troublesome. You're right, Chuck is getting into gear! Thanks, as always, for your review and comments jess!

    I've gotta say Rex, this was one fine chapter! While it ostensibly about the museum visit, there was so much more information, sweetly snuck in. Relationships were clarified, the "Ben" plotline was moved along and your usual, descriptive depictions were given. The museum visit, itself, was nicely portrayed, with the old soldier's salute being the high point. Brought a tear. Thanks for this chapter!

    Thanks Def! Oscar seems to have zeroed in on whatever it was which kept Toph self-focused. Now Toph is beginning to empathize with the world outside of his walls. For that alone, Oscar is good for Toph. Letting Niles go was confusing, sad but understandable if we see what Toph is trying to do. Maybe when he turns his attention to Austin and Nico we'll get a clearer picture.
