    Moving On

OH a GREAT chapter tim! Really, this did much more than move the story forward. It added dimension to Leo, it added dimension to Phil/Tait and even to Tait himself! Tait now has two allies with him to go after scumbag Sean. Tait is doing things for himself and thinking for himself. Even the prospect of modeling work gives him a certain independence too. Nice work tim! Everything worked here -- it all clicked and moved smartly!

    Chapter 66 Us

I great follow up to a great chapter! But in this one, they had the stage, not just the spotlight, to themselves. All good stuff here Parker! We'll miss them after tomorrow. Give them a kiss goodbye for me! (dragon kisses are ...um ...dangerous)

    Chapter 1

Great read Parker! Hey, you married off two pair of boys in two days - pretty great accomplishment!
  4. Aw ...just a perfect chapter Parker! And you managed to tie up a few loose ends without us even noticing. Good work.
  5. Thanks Def! And your worries are well founded. Spying, following, picture taking AND getting PPF's attention, puts David right in the cross-hairs. Interesting thought about David's subconscious blocking Alex's advances. Alex is a good guy though, as we'll soon discover.
  6. Hey Lisa, thanks for the review! I'm glad you noticed D2's ability to lower and raise the shields. Maybe the worry he'd somehow hijack David was unnecessary. I'm not sure the father is around too much of the time when David is with his loving wife. But he certainly seems to have a passive relationship with his 'family'
  7. Hey Parker, thanks for the neat comments! Are you peeking ahead somehow? 'nuff said. Everybody picking up on the bad vibes though. Everybody but D2, that is.
  8. Thanks jess! Def suggested the exit line was D1's subconscious block to Alex's advances. Interesting thought. You're right in worrying about the photography and premonition together. Could (read: will) be trouble ahead.
  9. D2, awesome, but seriously, if you fail to extricate a certain body part from another the data will collect you. Twoey is right: Twoey, I don’t know how you can help ... Angel really needs Vladimir .. he's MEAN! Thanks oxala! Glad you enjoyed D2's little sentence. At least he hasn't extinguished D1's sense of humor. Mean and ominous. Two bad words to live together.
  10. Thanks for your great comments Lisa! The TBS scene was fun ad rewarding to write. It was about time PPF got some of his stuff thrown back at him. Of course, getting his attention will come with its dangers. Randy has impeccable gaydar. I'm glad you liked the multiple POVs. I was a little hesitant at first, but there was no way to tell the story from D2 (freaky focused) and Twoey (moanly lonely) alone. We get the added bonus of seeing the world maybe more realistically than David does. Of course, Tommy's always fun to write.
  11. An extremely wrenching, but ultimately rewarding day for Ryan. I loved your description of the house Rex! I could visualize it very well right from the mailbox all the way in! Nice job. Clayton still not hard? I'm sure everyone else was. Maybe needs a little pill?
  12. Hey Brian You're review #400 of "18 Weeks"! I guess I owe you a virgin sacrifice. Yeah let's hope D2 was just rambling there. He does seem to be having a lot of fun as D2 though.
  13. Andy and Zander finally married! This great chapter awaited me as I came in from my run this morning. No, Kaz doesn't force me So much good stuff packed in here. Thanks, Parker! You're pardoned for the gentle cliffie you left us with in 63. We knew you weren't serious. It's hard to single out the most important news Andy got in this chapter: family, genealogy, friends, Champagne, etc. But the most important was he was married. btw, Zander's choice of scripture was perfect. An altogether well written and enjoyable chapter!

    Chapter 8

Great way to introduce a new character Ron! Shade moved Casey out from his shade. He must get some vindication that everyone, including the coach, calls Curtis an asshole. Maybe Rodney will warm up to him more also. It really could leave Curtis a bit isolated, which could also make him react poorly. Whatever happens, Casey has a few allies now and a slightly different outlook. Good for him. A fine chapter! Makes us anticipate more!
  15. Thanks for the review Carl! This was one of my favorite moments in the story because it was the first time they kissed AND realized they were in love with each other. Even though a lot of stuff is going to happen between here and the end of their eighteen weeks, neither will forget this moment. It will alter their relationship forever.
  16. Can we call this the Zit chapter?
  17. The hardest tumble a man can make is to fall over his own bluff - Ambrose Bierce *** Chuck David met me this morning like he did yesterday, and like yesterday we went to the same spot. I gave him the camera and also gave him the basics of how to use it. I even made him take a few pictures down the hall to see how the zoom worked. When the flash went off he was surprised. “Can I turn the flash off?” “Yes, but it’s one of the clunky things about this older model. You need to go two steps
  18. Hey Carl, thanks for reading "18 Weeks." The section you're starting is called "Angel in Therapy" and David comes oh-so-close to realizing who he is (he already knows who he loves). Unfortunately, right before that moment, another part of his life attacks him. If you haven't noticed it, there's a little table of contents on the "18 Weeks" story page, but it only goes as far as the story is at the moment.
  19. Hey Carl, thanks for the comments! Sorry for the 'sappy' but David is prone to introspection and also, of course, he's resisting his orientation. Don't worry, it only gets worse.
  20. Hey Carl! Yep, you were spot on about the gun. And about Danny too.
  21. Hey Carl! Thanks for the comments! Well, by now you know about the premonition. You were pretty right-on about it description too!
  22. Hey Carl! Thanks for taking the leap into 18 Weeks! As you'll discover, Twoey's premonitions are always accurate.
  23. Hey spikey! Another great review!! In a way you're right, in a way not so right. Gary, Sam, Chuck, even David, and now Twoey each have a 'trust' issue with part of the puzzle. Sort of like a comedy of errors where nobody is here to put it all together. So it'll get messy. David DID tell the two people he was afraid would be hurt the most. That is, he told them D2 was not him. Tommy got it, Twoey not. In David's (mixed up?) mind, it's all covered. I don't think he's leading Alex on, he really likes her and he's not-gay As for the family, the 5 individuals have individual relationships of various degrees with each other, but there is certainly no family. The bad news is he's yet to reach a meltdown re: his orientation. PPF has diverted his attention.
  24. I read this the minute it posted, I think. But I was on my way to bed, so I knew not to dare review until (1) I read it again and (2) I was more awake. So here I am. It appears to me Peter is having an effect beyond the obvious romantic one. Patrick is thinking about family and friends! Peter is good for him! And Peter poured out his concerns and hopes about Michael, so it seems Patrick is good for Peter beyond romance. I see both as positive indications for the future relationship. So, in a way, this was a very important chapter in the story, so far. Anyway those are the dragonviews. Thanks for sharing this warm chapter with us Tim!
  25. Thanks jess for you usual great comments! David does seem to have a fashion-side, doesn't he? Maybe the transition to gaydom won't be so difficult. As you'll discover, Randy's gaydar bats 1000. Tommy always distrusted Twoey. For all we can hope, I don't think the friends will get to him quite on time. That's because you correctly sensed PPF is going to need to react. David is hitting him from on a couple of fronts right now.
