  1. Thanks for the comments, Parker! Glad you picked up on the parallelism of the chapter! There seems to be collateral damage so far. The greatest might be David though. The battle starts Monday. (Twoey Time)
  2. Thanks for your review jess! Lunch talk Monday should be worth listening to ...hehe. Tommy and Twoey don't have the best ties right now. Tommy is determined to figure things out though, so there's that.
  3. Wow! A big chapter for the channel-crossed lovers Tim! One of the more endearing moments in this scene, which contained many, was the prospect, fully understood by Patrick, of a loving family, both immediate and extended. It was literally too much for him to bear. That was a touching section, well written. OK - bring on the aunt!
  4. But I will wear my heart upon my sleeve For daws to peck at: I am not what I am. Oth. -WS *** Chuck I woke up with my morning wood poking into Matty's ass crack. No, actually his ass crack was squeezing around my erection and rubbing it up and down. Then I heard Matty whisper. “Somebody's happy to be here with me this morning.” I smiled and whispered back. “Oh yeah ...I am.” “Not you, silly.” He turned around to go under the covers. He started to blow me again. Then he stopped and

    Chapter 2

Hoho ...Bobby is starting to find the joy of sinful things! Beware. Interesting times ahead! Great chapter Ronyx!!
  6. Thanks Lisa! Yeah, were not quite sure what to think about David. We DO know he's got to have everything in perfect order ...he has that little disability ...hehe. He seems to be viewing this as a battle between him and Johnson. The big difference is Johnson hasn't pulled away from HIS gang of allies. So it's not quite the one-on-one David envisions. I think Matty's a good guy -- a little over-sexed, but good. Now Matty/Mark is something else. Buckle up Chuck!
  7. A fun and, ahem... interesting chapter Carlos! The big slumber party was a great idea to get all the younguns together, get to warm to each other, even though it was cold. And then, ahem... Chipper. He had been hinting, after all, but I think it caught CJ by surprise. It was nice to see CJ handle it so smoothly, and then at the end of the chapter, make sure everything was actually smooth between the friends. Speaking of smooth, Chipper was all of that as he explained why he was walking funny in the morning. Thanks for this!
  8. Touching and strong. I hardly ever review poetry cuz I'm so dense, but this tugged at my (whatever I have). It's color was grey-asparagus. Thanks tim
  9. Sooo ...there was a little Candy in that pumpkin after all! What were the odds? What are the odds she'll be at the wedding? A thoroughly delightful chapter Gary. It opened with an introduction on the right foot with Josh. It had its little sweaty freaky trembley worry section. Then it resolved into the triumph of good news, and ended with the coda just out of sight, but inevitably ahead. It was like a little symphony of emotions. I like your style
  10. This chapter was a dash - a mad dash through Andy's week. It had rewarding moments, like Terry's beautiful words. It had blindingly surreal moments, like the track meet Andy was/wasn't aware of. It had moments of great anticipation, for the siblingrilling and, of course, the wedding itself. It had disquieting moments, like the now obsessive fear of becoming his father. But overall, I felt something a little off. I'll chalk it up to my suspicious nature, but it's there. Which means, of course, I can't wait for the next chapter. Good writing throughout this chapter Parker! It captured the breathless delirium of the dash.
  11. Ryan - you're right. one step forward two steps back - but with the little motivation provided by the doc, maybe one and a half steps forward. A gritty chapter for Ryan, Rex! It showed so much of what he faces, but also a lot of what he's made of. Ultimately, all the better for Clayton/Ryan! Wonderful writing, very sympathetic and insightful. You've got a great story going here!
  12. Hey Def! Thanks for the review! David thanks you for not stoning him You're right about him needing the very people he's shutting out, but of course he's shutting out EVERYONE. (Except Randy, Alex and ...we'll see: Chuck! -- gasp) As you guessed, Twoey will be pushed where he shouldn't go, and David won't be there to save him
  13. Gee Dodger, I read this chapter hours ago and still don't know how to comment, but I will before I get swept away in all the other stories posted today. Robbie's out of control, that's all I can come up with. He's intelligent enough, but keeps doing dumb stuff. Thinking with the wrong head. I understand the motivation for Fran, and his delight in being able to perform, then his realization the gay part of his bi was maybe 99.8%. That's all stuff he really had no control over. And I understand his reluctance to come out because of Don. But he has to realize he can't tell Fran he's gay (and have her ultimately take him seriously) without coming out to Don. He also has to be able to realize he can't have Nathan without the aforementioned sunshine. Whew! Soooo ...I'm unable to comment intelligently. But then Robbie is unable to think intelligently. Maybe it's a draw? Anyway, it sure is entertaining! Keep 'em coming!!
  14. Thanks for your great comments dayne! He IS running away. The irony is he was getting close, through therapy and his own ruminations, to self discovery. What has warped his observations might be the life threatening visage of living as the stepson of Enos Johnson. I think Twoey has to worry more about Erik than Chuck.
  15. Thanks for your comments bubby! I'm sorry David has disappointed you so much in this chapter. You are not alone ...hehe. What I mentioned to jess and a few others is important to consider. Everything he's doing now is logical to his way of viewing his greatest threat. Even if WE can see he's wrong and unfair, HE doesn't. That doesn't make it less troubling, just more understandable. He (in his mind) is in a fight for his life.
  16. Hey Mitchelll, tanks for your review! David is definitely making questionable decisions ...if one is NOT David. But, in fairness to him, he doesn't do things which don't make sense to him.
  17. Thanks for your review Parker! Just because Matty likes lots of sex doesn't make him bad people. Lots of people (readers) hating David right now. I certainly can't condone what he's doing, but it is very logical. His greatest fear is Johnson, and possibly living with him. Everything he does must be viewed through that prism.
  18. Thanks for your comments jess! In his mind David DOES have to do this on his own. His biggest fear is still Johnson. He really believes if his parents divorce, he'll be living with Johnson, which he will never do. That's what is distorting all his actions. Matty may be insatiable, but it doesn't mean he's not a nice guy.

    Bring Home Bae

I have to agree with Geemeedee. Well maybe 60%. Insensitive, awkward, humorous in a way, but not cruel. Efrain's reaction seemed over the top. but given his nature, his background and a little of what he explained to Cory on the trip down, somewhat understandable. Cory was the interesting actor here, after the outing. His mood shift was quite remarkable, and ended with the best line (sorry Graeme): "It is now." Another super chapter dayne!
  20. ...war upon themselves ...brother to brother, blood to blood, self against self. R.3 - WS *** “You still taking Deena to the dance?” “Absolutely!” Gary chuckled. “Man you’ve got balls!” “She’s not like that, honestly! Anyway Sam’s taking Lanni, so we’re double dating, taking the girls for something to eat first.” Gary didn't volunteer to join us. He's got to have other plans. I'm pretty sure I know what they are. Gary and Mel have to be fucking like rabbits. The less he talks about them
  21. Thanks Lisa! I agree with you. The whole ch67 sex tape was EWWW! The only trouble with blackmail is you never know what the reaction will be. But there's much more mischief ahead. I think David will have some fun in his new social class. Of course he's got the terrible twosome fighting over him. But both Randy and Alex will turn out to be important in David's ultimate coming of age. Skinny doesn't just arbitrarily drop characters into David's life!
  22. Certainly a lot of nice stuff in this chapter Parker! From Nonna through Marjorie, great discoveries for our little hero. Also the two scenes of Andy and Zander to successfully navigate the bureaucracy and stunning their two best friends was well written and entertaining. I felt more than a little unease with Andy's dream/fear of being a genetically bad person. He's got to talk that out with his therapist! Also a little uneasy with Dad giving off bad vibes. What's with that? OK, enough worries. Thanks for another great chapter of Andy's journaley!
  23. Thanks AC! I sure am sorry if Toph is sneaking into your subconscious. Maybe you need to build some picket fences I think you're wise to give the steamroller time to ... roll. We should probably watch and wait. Although Gary will be (read: is being) punished. I don't know what to say about the holiday lacunae. Well OK, I DO know what to say, I just don't want to. But for sure Christmas is too big to ignore, especially with Mamma's warm invitation sitting in his apartment.
  24. I don't know how I missed this story! Actually I do, it was posted on Jan 3, and I know I had a hangover that week. I like your light touch and narration flow. It seems like an interesting beginning, but I wasn't too fond of this short chapter. It was the perfect opportunity to make Ren a little more three-dimensional. All we really know about him is he's gay, gets high and dances well. The budding relationship (?) with Layne will hopefully do that. Anticipating a nice fat chapter!
  25. Aw ...great line Gary! And Craig shows much clear-headed thinking -- as he did with his twin. A wonderful chapter which put the guys into each others lives and gave us an inkling about them and the "old" house. Lots to look forward to here! Thanks for this!
