    Thanks Parker for the great thoughts. Yes, Twoey seems to be starting to focus as David seems to be starting to spiral. What will ever bring them together? It's beginning to look like Twoey is just a sex toy for Matty and Erik. I hope not. Danny is the wild card in everything.

    Good Chapter Parker! And not just because dad is dead. Your description of the day through Stefan's eyes was believable and the wisps of rumors together with the locker scene he observed let us grasp what a third person narrative would normally have provided. Excellent and interesting. This story is very compelling, Can't wait for more!

    Interesting Chapter Gary, in the good way! Nate almost seems to be carving out his desired future for himself, and in just one day! Whatever the Mark & Megan show decides, I think Nate is in Ontario, at least for the next semester. And then if he ends up with Kendall & Mike & Bodie , of course, he'll be there when the baby arrives. That would be interesting. Either way, the guys are gonna be seeing a lot of Nate, I think. They both, especially Kendall, have handled Nate very carefully, I think. It really couldn't have turned out better for the kid, considering how it was in Edmonton a few days ago. We seem to have some interesting twists and turns ahead! Can't wait! Oh yes, and a wedding to plan too!

    Oh wow Dodger, Somehow I hadn't expected Tom and Robbie had gone this far! That certainly explains the depth of Robbie's separation depression. It also puts into question Tom's orientation, which can cause Robbie problems either way. It makes their relationship's future a bit more dicey. Tom could decide to stay straight, get a gf and that would cause Robbie a problem. If Tom decided to stay gay, and gets a bf, then that causes Robbie a larger problem, I think. I can't see both of them staying single until 18 waiting for the if-come of Robbie's return. By the way, a well written and very entertaining chapter, especially the whole shed scene and aftermath and 'cocktail'

    Thanks for the great perspective, Defiance! Sorry it was so long, but Ch20 was a watershed moment for each boy. Their paths are now firmly established (until the next one) and I'm sure we'll see some regrouping ahead.

    Hey thanks for reading CLS! I've been to California about 10 times, at least, and I never heard it ever called Cali either. I must have picked that up from something I read. And I'll fix it!!! My now departed aunt would have lynched anybody who called her city "Frisco" so I know the rub! Thanks again for the time!

    Maybe the worst part of the physical discomfort I felt in this chapter were is last words "there's more" Can Stefan take any more? Can I survive any more? I'm giving this chapter a 'like' but I hope you realize that doesn't imply I liked what happened. This was all beautifully described, Parker. Especially as Stefan's feeling of being saved slowly dissolved into the realization he'd been sacrificed.

    Well Comsie, since this is the first new chapter in like 20 years or so I found myself rereading from chapter 1 to refresh my memory of all the details. I'm about halfway through, so I won't get to the new chapter for another day or so. But (blush) it's just as tense reading these, all over again!

    Yep. Stefan's world is alien to most people ...thank goodness! The girl. Hmmm. Could be what he suspects, or maybe not. Although it's difficult to see her type suddenly believing an emaciated, poorly dressed recluse is cute. But then, I guess her world is alien to me so, what do I know? Parker, you managed to make a downer of a chapter suddenly interesting! Great job!!

    Ian thanks you for the advice CG! I'm not sure how long my mother's parakeet lived. I just know it died on Easter Sunday. We never had cats or dogs in my house. But my best friend had an 'Old Yeller'. Tyke was Donny's dog, but I was Tyke's boy. We grew up together too.

    Thanks AC! This one was fun to write because my mother had a parakeet that perched on her martini every night, took one sip, ruffled its tail feathers, and then flew to perch on the book she was reading! It's etched in my mind.
