    Chapter 20

“At least you won’t be alone, you’re the second new enrollment from Tempton,” she said, and I looked up at her, to see her smile widen. “It kind of made me wonder what was going on over there.” Has to be Roy, I'm starting to see that Krista doesn't really have any ancillary characters in her stories. Not like in mine where I'll add characters to say one joke and then disappear forever. I was right, it was Roy. Roy better be straight. Had a cousin Roy, who was also straight, though there was so moments where I wasn't so sure he was. And we're boys, it didn't matter if we were related by marriage. But we were technically cousins. Anyway, I already don't like Roy due to past baggage. Oh Krista, can you please rename the character, thanks. Lorianne I like her, she is a free spirit that also likes Colt. Just saying, By the way, her friendenemy, Rissa? is giving off lesbian vibes. Then we get to baseball tryouts without trying out. He can't have his number so he ran off crying. Jocks are ridiculous. I do enjoy that you aren't giving him any wins. The jokes hit him hard, the secret is tearing at him, threatening to consume him at every turn. Even with Davin, he is forced to keep a secret. If he's not the poster boy for starting a gay-straight alliance I don't know who is. I swear you toe the line between dramatic for no reason to creating the balance of drama that has a soul. Another great chapter with insight into Joel's struggle to find a place where he doesn't have to lie. The title of this story shouldn't be Learned To Lie, but Learned to Stop Lying. One more chapter until the end of the story. I'm so sad.

    Chapter 18

I'm glad that you are winding down the story to be truthful. You have drug out (and not in a bad way at all, this is highly entertaining) what I believe is your premise, the rehabilitation of Joel. I think if the story is ended, don't worry about writing more, keep it lean and poignant. Even if I don't get my Jolt, if the ending is good and makes sense, I'd say this has been one of my favorites I've read this year.

    Chapter 19

Told you I wasn't finished yet. Flipping the light switch, I left the door cracked feeling my heart rate pick up knowing why I did it. Everyone knows why you did it. You want Colt...I mean...Davin to come scratching around your door. You should stand there in your underwear, bent over like your looking for something in the drawer. Show him the goods! (editor note) You are driving me crazy switching in and out of present and past tense, sometimes in the same sentence. There, I got that off my chest, I've been holding it in for 19 chapters. PS to my Comment: I really want Joel to be the bottom. I'd love to read his stream of conscious as he's being taken by Colt...I mean Davin." “This isn’t going as fucking smooth as I thought it would,” Because both of you are dreaming about Colt! I was about to go lower when I heard a muffled thud. Jumping, I pulled my hand away feeling the bed shift beside me I haven't read any of the comments, how mad are the readers at you? I'm not, because they aren't meant to be, which is why you stopped them. By the way, they are finally in a bed!! “There’s no pressure, it was just an invitation,” Yeah, I'd rather not go to a place where they hate people like me. And because this is your comments, I'm gonna keep my thoughts to myself about this. “And you can’t wear those boxer briefs around me anymore,” “There’s this whole fucking the enemy fantasy I got playing out in my head and that doesn’t help.” Oh, Davin is fantasizing about fucking Joel, he is the top. Booya! The rest of this chapter is sports ball talk, boring! I love the interplay at the creek. Though if I was Davin or Joel, I would have completely stripped before getting into the creek. Show the other my bits, see if anything stands up and pays attention. Great chapter, its almost nice to read a story where they don't just start humping like bunnies in a secluded spot while only being in their underwear. Two chapters to go before I'm all caught up.
  4. Thanks, Jason was an interesting writer in a stream of conscious type of way. He kind of meanders a bit but he gets his point across. I wonder what happened to him, his journal ended in 2010, that's fifteen years of life. Sometimes I go back to look for more journals but I've never found any.

    Chapter 18

I am team Jolt all the way! I'll start a petition, I write my congressman...err....woman...but it's Nancy Pelosi and she's so old I'm doubtful she could do anything except insider trading. But someone is going to help me push Jolt into reality. Wait! You said you're on the fence about writing more. Have I just laughed and ran along with you for 21 chapter only for you to stop at 21? That's not fair, I don't see how you could tie up this story in only two chapter left. Jolt haven't even kissed yet. This isn't about shoe laces or Jolt, I'm just sad.
  6. Dr. Susan seemed to be on Jason's payroll for nearly four years, according to the journal. I'm not sure how much she was per hour back in 06, but Jason seemed to think she was worth it. I think when you journal, you never really expect people to read it, so I think Jason could be honest there, where in his life he seemed to not be so honest in his interactions.
  7. Please don't feel bad, I've posted seven stories on this site, and today, when I wanted to post a new one, I had completely forgotten myself. I had to go to the help section, lots of great info inside with easy to read instructions that could save you pulling out your hair. I think they have an answer to just about any question you might have. Highly detailed even someone as tech savy as I'm not could understand. Can't wait to check out your story either. J
  8. You mean a strategy to make Jason jealous? Could he be that devious? You know how these boys can be when they are on the prowl. Or is Jason just leaving stuff out of his journal as a way to cope with the news his harmless crush now is confirmed straight. Jason said he's clean but addicts have been known to lie before. We'll see tomorrow with part three, Stupid Jason Doing Stupid Things.
  9. Regarding the top four, I didn't see it in the journals, but since I have read the entire journal, many parts I left out as there was a lot of rants about addiction, hook-ups, that didn't pertain to this story, I'm sure the other four are related to sex! . Jason seemed to be at his lowest in 06, he was suicidal and consuming mass amounts of cocaine. But if the journal mentioned Columbia, it was a typo on my part when I transcribed it to this format, this story took place in Palo Alto CA at a now defunct restaurant called Junoon.
  10. Jason first meets Konstantin, a first generation immigrant from Ukraine, in 2006. Konstantin is deeply in the closet and holds some deep-seeded internal homophobia. Despite their differences, Konstantin is drawn to the very out and proud Jason. Their story is told through journal entries, a first person account filtered through Jason’s many addictions. It’s raw, uncensored, and painfully honest as Jason chronicles their story in an attempt to understand himself and his addictions. Sometimes to move forward one has to relive the past. These entries have not been altered or edited in any way.
  11. October 18th, 2006 Current Music Selection: Meat Loaf Bat Out Of Hell Current State: High Current Mood: Optimistic Okay, I’ve had one of the worst days of my life. And not in oh my god I just broke a nail and my favorite pair of jeans that hugs my ass so perfectly was just ruined in the washer kind of worst days. I’m talking about getting ass raped by a gorilla in a public setting like national television with no lube or reach around. They do have opposable thumbs, don’
  12. November 30th, 2007 So I almost did something last Monday I swore I’d never do again. And just to get it out of the way right now, because it’s so easy for me to get sidetracked, it has nothing to do with my addiction to cocaine. I think I have that demon safely back inside its box. For now. Because if it did have something to do with my love of snorting white powder, I wouldn’t be a confused gay boy and this entry would never have been written. So I’ll let you decide which problem is
  13. I re-wrote that last paragraph maybe ten times, I finally landed on that at the last hour. Still not completely None that I can think of, well, there is a new old person in the next chapter people might recognize. But seeing as I think everyone should like dick, who knows, even Christine might come out as a dick lover.

    Chapter 19

“Come with me to the bedroom,” Being a little bit forward aren't you Joel? “That’s too fucking close to Trace and Celia’s room,” other people and two dogs were just inside. Out here, we seemed miles away. Reaching down, I readjusted myself, my erection subsiding now that we were no longer touching. Just what do you plan on doing that you need to make some noise? And with this sentence you betray that you really are a woman. They don't just go away that fast... “I better go,” he whispered, and I looked over to see that his eyes had followed my hand. “To my room.” If you try to give us a jerk off scene I'm going to spit in the trashcan. “I’ll show you my favorite spot on the ranch tomorrow,” he said, turning his head to glance in my direction as we met the bottom of the stairs. “We just have to dodge Trace’s trail cameras.” Would that favorite spot be the G-Spot...err...the P-Spot. Ooo, there's camera's Only Fans here we come. Damn, I have to open the restaurant now. There will be more about this chapter, but now I have to make some money.

    Chapter 18

“Who was the other guy?” I asked and when I looked back towards the small group I saw Sierra shooting daggers at Colt, who wasn’t looking at me at all as he chugged his beer. hahahahahaahaha, duh I knew that back a few chapters ago. Gay adjacent I believed I called it. And full disclosure, I did something similar just so I could get a gook look at his dick. One of the few times I was happy he was straight. He had one ugly dick. “I,” he started, then looked at me, his face falling to a wince before he pulled his stretched-out legs towards him. I watched him push h off the bench and walk to the railing, shaking his head. “It’s fucking embarrassing, don’t make me answer that.” What's that old expression, I'm gonna wash that man right out of my hair? Boy do I know what's coming next. “I’ve been in love with Colt since I was ten years old,” he whispered grimacing as he looked away. “That’s when I figured it out anyway, I was in love with him longer than that. When I was on top of you, you looked so fucking hot, I wanted to kiss you. I needed to see if that would finally wake my ass up.” I've been in love with Colt for eight years and then I saw your stupid baseball playing ass and suddenly I'm over him and want to have your babies. After reading this chapter, despite what you have been explaining in great detail, even you, know they don't belong together. It's Joel and Colt (Jolt) that is the real story I'm reading. I don't even mention Davin, who may or may not have a nice butt. On to the next chapter, I nearly caught up, if its not the end of the story, that's when I'll really start causing you trouble when you post the new chapter. Some of your chapters have 90 comments, expect double that

    Chapter 17

Trace's wife is written so genuinely its hard to hate her. The interplay between the mother and father is sweet and something you write very well. I hope you are taking inspiration from your own life. You seem like a good mother, even though you don't wear shoes with laces. Colt inviting Joel is monumental on a few levels. He is slowly accepting him into his family, and showing that he doesn't care that Joel likes the boys. Though you might have Colt set him up to kick the shit out of him, I'd not put anything past a person that hates beds. But that will have to wait until tomorrow as I have things to do, mostly my husband, who is not a twin nor blond. I hate him almost as much as I...well...you know...don't make me say it
  17. Jason Rimbaud

    Chapter 16

Davin is a twin, so if Joel has sex with him, its twin sex. I did not imply twincest, Gavin seems like a tool. By the way, I read your explanation back in the other chapter and yes it all makes perfect sense. But Joel and Colt will never be brothers, they are destined, you are keeping them apart with your hatred for beds, love of hair curling around the ears, and boxer briefs. The last few chapters have been wonderful by the way. Oh

    Chapter 16

So Joel's family is splintered but its not completely smashed. Cody is a cool little dude. Joel opening up to Trace's wife (I know how to spell it now but fuck it) was a downer. He needs to get better at keeping his feelings bottled up inside. Eleven out of ten doctors recommend squashing your emotions with drunken twin sex with a rowdy Colt occassionally to change the flavor. As interesting as the scene with the parents were, you totally forgot to write the best scene, why hasn't Davin talked to Joel. I also think in 16 chapters, this was the first time jump. Hooray!

    Chapter 15

So we arrive at Chapter 15. I know it's 15 because you don't use chapter names. I'm sure you're probably expecting a certain response. But I won't give you the satisfaction. Do you hear me? Go figure, Colt doesn't want to be a rancher, who the fuck would. I don't mind being from a small town but animals, unless they are in my pan cooking, I have no need for them. Joel shutting down when Colt guessed was a fun few paragraphs to read. You did a remarkable job keeping it tight without devolving into chaotic drama. When Colt left, I knew Davin was going to show up. The moment he took his pants off, I knew the time I had been dreading had arrived. But I didn't yell, I didn't scream, I didn't hit purchase the saved plane tickets to show up at your house to tie your laces. I calmly, very adult like, read on. The kiss was sweet, pathetic, and thoroughly entertaining. It ended basically how I figured. Joel would have a stick up his ass instead of Davin's dick. The conversation in the car was believable in as far as you went. Then as an aside, Davin admits he was in the threesome. You missed a real opportunity there, Davin should have explained who the other guy was, maybe a crush, talked into sex as gay adjacent. But it's your story. And as of right now, I am neglecting my restaurant all day yesterday and much of today reading this story so I'd say you captured my attention. PS: I hate you.

    Chapter 14

I can sympathesize with the twins, Trace and wife (still don't remember her name or know how to spell it), do talk too much. I know you are writing them to be the opposite of Joel's, but damn they are up in everyone's business, aren't they? So everyone is mad at Colt, what could he have done? I think I am out of luck on my Colt and Joel fantasy. I think someone forgot to pull out, I heard, at least for straight people, condoms are your friend. Though seeing as Davin is his best friend, why would he ask Joel to hang...especially after basically ignoring him for the last three days. Don't you get my hopes up @Krista, my heart is fragile right now.
  21. Seeing as this is my first story by you, I enjoyed how you brought a fresh twist to a premise that I felt was played out. But your characters, great, dialogue, fabulous, and overall a very enjoyable story with the perfect ending you'd expect from a rom-com. So thank you for sharing this with us and when next you post, I'm sure I'll dip my toe into that one as well. J

    Chapter 13

The only time was when Joel and Davin slept together and we didn't even get morning glory! Honestly, I don't think you should have been worried. It was captivating, even though you withhold things when teenagers wouldn't keep it inside. I loved this chapter. Its definitely a symptom of something greater, mentally, I found it fascinating.
  23. Wow, I forgot my own mythology about my own characters. You are right/write, he's one or the other.
  24. Are you bringing in a Beatles reference? And who says Ryan is a drug addict. Look at the streetlight shining brightly. PS: I hate daylight savings time. Blech
  25. I'm thinking Brandon's refusal to out anyone might come back to haunt him. Ryan's already been rejected by Brandon, and now everyone knows Brandon is with Tyler, there is a lot more animosity going on than anyone really knows. Especially if Ryan is a closet case. Who knows what he'll get up to in Part Two. Just remember, Brandon said it best a few chapters back, his reputation might have been greatly exaggerated in terms of hooking up behind school buildings.
