I can understand Aiden being jealous, but think that the day went well. Nicky did shake things up. Owen's parents were even worse than I could imagine. I think things will be better for all and Nicky will be the best man for Owen when Owen and Aiden get married. 🤞 (in a few years)

Damned @Wesley8890! You alway know how to crack me up. This one had me

I'm not sure if I'd risk going to Dennis' house after what he did to Ben. I am happy that they were able to rescue Valentine. Dennis will probably be thankful that she is close and staying with Reilly's family. What the hell is Nicky doing there?
-
Lyle is a piece of crap! He's definitely worse than his parents. I'm not forgiving Dennis. I can see why Leo is warning Owen to not trust Dennis. However, fear can led people to do very wrong things. I still hope that Dennis can escape from his family. It makes me worry so much more for Reilly.

Owen is really beginning to understand how his parents haunt him still. Ben is very good at helping Owen understand what happened and what he needs to do for closure. Dennis does need to reach out, and I think that there will be a lot of people there to help because of Owen.

Wow! Karen finally showed her true colors. Thank the gods that Aiden believes Owen. I know he is a bit angry that Owen didn't tell him right away, but I think he wanted Owen to go home because he is more upset by the way his mother tried to manipulate him. Like Chris said, she's done this before. Aiden needs to tell her he is aware of what she is doing and won't put up with it. He will no longer enable her. As for the threat of eviction, if I remember correctly Aiden owns the apartments, not his mother.

Hi Clo! How are you doing? Haven't heard much about you Looping or the family lately. Hope all is well with you.

Hi Albert! I guess you won't have to worry about watering restrictions this year. Those pictures show one hell of a lot of snow. Hope you and Steve can dig out soon.

Cutting it close Gary! It's almost Friday here.

Adam is making steps in the right direction. Lacy is so awesome. Ryan gave Owen the right advice, but Owen wasn't listening or he'd have dinner with Aiden and his mother even if she won't like it. Too damned bad for her. This is such a compelling story. I do have to say that almost all of the parents in the story seem far from my own reality. I wouldn't know how to deal with these people, and can understand why Owen is so wary of parents.

I don't know if Sawyer's timing was off or just right. Marc is having a tough time accepting the lost of Aunt May. Wakes in general are very difficult for me also. The only one I really appreciated was the wake of a very wonderful Irish Catholic Teamster friend. It was different because it was a celebration of Bill's life. Everyone shared stories about him. Many were funny or serious, but all highlighted the importance he held in their lives. I wish Aunt May's had been similar. From Marc's thoughts, he was somewhat to blame by not leaving a voice message. Right now, neither should focus on that. Sawyer needs to support Marc. Reba and Rachel discovering the two in the pantry was awkward, but Reba will understand. Rachel will have to accept. Marc should know now that it won't be long before he is outed in the community. It's not that I assume either Rachel or Reba will say anything, but it is becoming more apparent to those around them.

Getting a bit sleepy Bucket? Hope your day was good! Dang, you got me doing it now. 😁

It seems as if Aiden's mom is still on the path of self-destruction. I hope that Owen will talk to his brothers about her demands. She doesn't seem to understand she has a better chance at re-establishing a good relationship, and make it easier for her to re-habilitate with the help of Owen and the twins.

The love word was spoken. I don't think it will be long before it is spoken back.

It is so interesting to see the subtle changes in all of the characters. The conversations between the characters is so well written to demonstrate these changes. Great chapter.

I can't believe that I didn't comment when I first read the chapter. I think that Gideon now knows he is being followed. He probably caught Kavan's scent. I noticed that Kavan's attitude towards Gideon is changing in a more positive direction as he learns about what happened to Gideon and his family. Even though Gideon was adopted, he must have been very close to his family. His need for revenge is overpowering. Personally, I hope he gets it. I suspect it will be dangerous not only for him, but Kavan and his team also.

An emotional rollercoaster ride. Aiden helping Owen to be more comfortable with his body and the resulting sex was hot. Then, the depths of despair for Owen as he relives what happened to him in his home. Dennis lives in an even more toxic household. It is no wonder he acts like he does, especially if he is closeted. I do wonder why the journal he is forced to write is more important to his parents than his school work. I do fear that his parents will blame him if his leg is permanently damaged. I can believe they scoff at the doctor's recommendation that Dennis needs surgery for the leg, and to not play in the football game. It's just one game, not the season.

What’s with Reilly Chesley?
raven1 commented on DomLuka's story chapter in What’s with Reilly Chesley?
I was surprised that Owen told Aiden no. However, I probably would have done the same. Aiden was drunk, but Owen wants their first time to be an act of love. He wants Aiden to be inside of him first. The reasons are probably more complex than I imagine, but are still valid. The visit to Reilly was short, and I thought Owen should have had some time to get to know Reilly. I also suspect that Dennis' lingering around the nurse's office was more than concern for himself. He does seem to be much less threatening to Owen and Aiden than before. If he were as homophobic as he wants others to think, I would have suspected he would have been even more violent after Aiden was outed. -
I'm also thinking Dennis is closeted. He is much worse than Owen was before Owen's father found out he was gay, but it seems like a reflection of what Owen was doing then. I suspect Dennis' father to be much worse than Owen's dad. Adam seems to be coming around and there is promise in what he says when he apologized this time. It implies that he will try to understand. I loved the way Aiden confronted Janie. He really got it right about how ugly she was as a person. Too bad she is so stupid as to think he was talking about her physical appearance only. I am looking forward to the next two weekends. It is a good way of getting away from the negative environment of the school. I suspect that Lacy will be there when they hang out, and probably have a rant or two about the bit_h, Janie. Reilly Chesley is a bit of a mystery, but it will be interesting to see how he fits in the story.

Owen was listening. I think the more things happen at school will convince him to get fed up like Leo did. I expect he will come out soon than he thinks.
-
No sure why Adam is there, but had to chuckle at the shock he got when Adam came down the stairs. I glad this is an archived story so I don't have to wait a week to find out what's happening next. Cliffhangers are easy on the nerves in cases like this.
-
Janie is just like Anna. She's trying to get rid of Owen and is oblivious and ignorant. If she really cared about Aiden when he first told her he was gay, she should have at least done some research. I can believe she doesn't know about Tony, Ben or Leo. She's going to stir up trouble, but Aiden and Owen have a great support team. The big question I have is whether Adam and Shane will support them. I do hope they will.
-
Aiden's mother is a very complex character. Even though she has supported Aiden when he came out as gay, she obviously has problems that made her a very difficult wife. After the deaths of Aiden's father and his twin brother, Asher, her way to cope was the bottle. She may love Aiden, but makes a very bad mother to him. Another sad chapter. I hope that Owen can start rebuilding their lives together to help each other heal from the past challenges they faced.

So powerfully moving. It makes the loss of Dan so much more sad. This chapter tears at the heart. The deaths of Dan and his family was tragic, and to read this brought tears to my eyes.

It happened! They finally are out and interested. That of course is usually followed by teen angst.
