The home library will be well stock with books after this and previous trips. Carl is rapidly growing up, and his art education is surpassing his physical growth. He has four excellent mentors. The trip to Dion went well. I really would love to teach this fine group of students.

Parallax must be a litter mate of my cat, Som. The only difference is Beckett seems to understand cat language, and I don't. Either that or Parallax knows how to speak English. The thing I find strange is Beckett seems to be sleeping in a very large bird's nest.

Jonathan is arrogant, power hungry and self centered. Probably very selfish, which is why he didn't take Marc with them. He could not allow Marc to share the love of Marc's mother. Several good points were made, and I can only add that Aunt May does have another will. Since the PUs are going to her house, I hope that they don't find the new will. Jonathan would steal his own son's inheritance if he felt it was possible.

I love the comments. Some are very close to what I think and also have questions about. The magical people of the island seem to predate Nicholas, so like @drsawzall I wonder if these people were the origin of Nicholas and Robin. I love that the spirit in the totem wished to keep the memories of those who lived in the house. The renovations will remove the evidence of those lives, but give the house a new purpose, and will again be a place where memories are created. I wouldn't be surprised if Ian Lewellen were to meet them when the land on the island. Being a witch and living on an island full of magic, he might still be alive. Great chapter!

Chalk it up to old age. I remember now it is the Avalanche. I followed the Avalanche because Adam Deadmarsh was drafted by them. He play for the Portland Winterhawks in the Western Hockey league. I had season ticket for 12 years for the Hawks, and followed the NHL until I moved to Thailand. As for the Bruins, Cam Neely play for the Hawks also. The team won 2 Memorial Cups and I got to see all the home games for them.

It still is! Songkran is coming up soon. One of the major attractions are the day long water wars in the streets of every village, town and temple in the country. Have you ever got hit on a 35C day with ice water from a water cannon?

Go Leafs! They have some catching up to do with the Bruins, but overall games won are impressive. Too bad I'm a Bruin's and Rockies kind of guy!

I think they need to ask the manitou/Nishpah its name in the next seance. The two seances have produced a lot of information. However, the spirit did not create the city. Why was it there taking care of the city? Who and where are the missing inhabitants? The questions keep mounting. I am leaning on towards the idea that the manitou is in the wood of the city and the house. However, why was the wood imported to build the mansion? A mansion is kind of permanent. I don't see how Tasker would have been able to send the spirit home if the spirit was trap in the house even if he had lived.

My reference is to Ronyx' Taking Off The Mask. It has a much more dramatic theme, but in some ways the two MCs are like Rusty and Matty when it comes to masks.

Most of the chapter made me relaxed and happy. Marc knows his crew and Rachael are accepting he is gay. Sawyer makes Marc feel wanted. The P.U.s just walk in as if they just got back from work. I'll be angry and upset until the next chapter posts...or longer.

I wonder how much Chris' temper tantrum drained his supply? I wager it was not much. At least by turning the vamps to ash, he doesn't need to worry the Blood Army will find out about him yet. I'm like Leo and would be scared. At least Martin and Matteo will now get some training. I do wish someone would suggest moving in with Victor might be a better idea to protect William and Chris rather than 4 guards. Nice to know they were there and could have helped, but it was obvious that Chris doesn't need it now. What will Patri and Val say when they hear the story?

I agree with @travlbug's assessment of the bracelet. The tower provides Chris those things he needs. I just hope he can talk to Patri and Val about it soon. I am also wondering if Leo can be safely turned into a werewolf. He would be much more able to protect himself with all his training.

I think Fred and Cage would agree that Chris held his own quite well. This doesn't look good with rogue werewolves joining together to overthrow both vampire and werewolf governments. Is this going to make it impossible for Victor to accompany Chris? Will Christmas in London still happen? How will the governments respond? Victor and August need to contact the human governments to let them know the problem. August needs to protect Leo and his parents.

Nice introduction to August's pack and home. I did seem a bit too peaceful except for the wolves being intimidated by Chris' power. Of course the author can't let us get complacent and threw in a cliffhanger with invaders with ill intent. It seems that Chris has another new power.

Chris pushed August to use his ultimate power. I don't even think Chris has reached the pinnacle of his own power yet. I haven't seen him use any of the elemental powers besides water. August will be very surprised when Chris answers August question. I am impatiently waiting for that sneak preview of August and Leo stuff.
