Are you predictable? You alway hook your readers from the start. CJ is always pushing the limits. Readers always have a great time reading your books! Other than that and a motorcycle and toys you are not predictable. Wait....You are also the King of Cliffies. All the characters have changed over the years in a natural and realistic way. I just wanted you to know that I've loved the series from the first story.

Wow! Bringing the book thru the veil was astonishing. It could indicate that Chris' power is very strong and he was able to take the physical book because of his great power. That would mean he has at least the power of two very powerful elves. The other thought is that the tower sent the book with him, because he wasn't able to fully handle the knowledge. If that's true then he probably will need all the knowledge before he visits the tower again. That is an ominous thought. The final possibility in my mind is that the tower intends for Chris to share the book with Victor and others. Again that is a bit ominous, because it suggests great trouble ahead. I love the way you engage your readers @gabz2000.

Stoker U is much as I expected it to be. I don't think Chris needs to worry how Leo and August will deal with the distance. They seem to be able to date a lot in spite of the distance. It might be even easier once the both start school at Stoker.

I see the author is gearing us up for more adventure. I would assume if Matteo is Martin's brother, he at least knows Martin is a vampire. Probably Matteo is also, unless Martin has just been turned. Who is their sire? I am looking forward to Christmas. It is going to be filled with a lot of activity. Chris better let his grandfather know what's happening so they don't have conflicting dates.

A Norse god like Patrick thinks Leo is a perfect 10? Good enough for me. It is funny to see everyone delicately avoid the elephant in the room around Leo. Chris, the elephant, is Leo's best friend and confidant. The matches were exciting and now that Leo is onboard with the news everyone seems in good spirits. I did laugh at how Leo was able to surprise Chris with the news that August is now Leo's boyfriend.

The fight demonstrated Chris' powers to the entire family. Again he is getting better control and is becoming inventive with how he uses water. I am still disappointed that Leo has not shown up. Now, Chris has a lot of explaining to do. At least he has at least four people to help him.

I enjoyed the relaxed feeling of this chapter as everyone got to know each other. Hashana is experiencing a bit of cultural shock, but she'll get use to and love that Chris is the way he is. He's not spoiled and is concerned more with being himself rather than what others expect him to be. It is a beautiful experience for William as he learns more about his wonderful wife and how dearly she loved him. She gave up a wonderful life just to be with him and Chris. That's has to be a very warming thought as he remembers his love for her. Chris is again learning quickly how to control at least one of his elemental powers.

Let's see. Excitement, adventure, danger and a cliffhanger all in the first chapter? Definitely an authentic @Carlos Hazday story. I'm glad to be back in CJ's world again. The best part is I have many new stories ahead to read. I love the beginning with so many great characters. Harley has always been a fun favorite. Richie is growing up and in many ways reminds me of a young CJ. As for Owen and CJ being mushy? They are not totally innocent enough to avoid that description entirely. I bet CJ is going to get a talking to, especially if an arm was broken in the fall. Fast and fun just like you Carlos.

@J.El is a sneaky little devil! Can't blame him for that considering how Rusty describes and drools over Matty's posterior assets. I have a feeling J.El will have to work fast to catch Matty if Matty ever gets tired of Rusty. With Rusty's descriptions in mind, I'm sure there are several readers waiting to ambush Matty. Just saying.

March CSR Feature: This Strange World Needs a Kicking by Laura S. Fox
raven1 commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Once again I have to thank you Cia for the feature. I have so much fun reading Laura's stories, but hadn't got to this one yet. -
I took me a while, but I made it here finally. I haven't read CJ novels for several years, so I decided to take up where I left off.

I love Cia's stories, but this one may be a challenge. It sounds like it is a fantasy based on a game. My problem is I haven't played any games since the original Mario Brothers. I may have to catch up 40 years to understand everything. I'm willing to try, since Cia is such a great story teller.

I can see my mom in Lee. Like my mom, Lee wants more out of life and is willing to work for it. Her parents also sound a lot like my grandparents, although Lee's father is a lot more traditional in the way he thinks about women. I am enjoying the way this story starts. The background and setting are subtly presented in the conversations realistically.

I thought that Chris wanted Leo at the meeting. That's why it was scheduled for the day after Thanksgiving. Oh well, at least the surprising meeting went well. Both Victor and William immediately solved one problem. They are going if Chris goes. No questions asked. I am sure Leo will want to also go when he finds out. Who will be left to fill in for William and Victor while they are in the elven realm?

Thanksgiving with the family was a warm and wonderful occasion. I wonder if Patrick wants a boyfriend. I wouldn't mind a Nordic god for a boyfriend. Valkyrie has Thor, so I want Baldr. I am getting excited for the big reveal tomorrow!

Hi Clo! Give Drew a bad time for me, please!

You can certainly dish it out, but apparently not take it.🤪

I'm always tortured by pictures of food, except when the pictures are on a menu and I can order them. No problem! I am sure both Dugh and I will appreciate pictures of you in the buff just as well if not more. How are you today, Texy?

The match with August was intense and demonstrated Chris is able to use his elemental power better. I am surprised that no one noticed him using that power. Still no word from Stoker U. That's a bit disappointing. Leo and August in love? I bet they will be just as mushy as Victor and Chris. I was glad that William has decided to cut down on some of the exhausting work. Leo is definitely going to need Chris to help him soon. At least he'll need Chris' advice on sex between guys.😁
-
Leo is a kick. He's already for something more with August, but is still hesitating. I am sure they will become a power couple in the werewolf society soon. Speaking of which, since Chris is a hybrid human/elf, will he be able to be turned by Victor when the time comes? Can you imagine the powers he would have? Nice relaxed chapter, except for William. William seems like he is working himself to exhaustion.

This is an interesting chapter that enlightened this old expat. I too had to delve into the net. Too bad I don't have a goggle connection. I had no idea there is a new football league in the US and the Seattle team is named the dragons. The room at the top was full of surprises. I wonder if the "There be dragons" is a literal statement. It would make sense in the Boone universe. I also looked up the reference made by @Backwoods Boy so I think I may know the island he is referring to. I also found that the earliest human settlement of Terra del Fuego dates back to 8,000 BC. , and that there were settlements on the western edge of the island. So far the island fits the description. I'm glad Charlie caught the red herring Geron sent his way, and discarded it. Like Browbeat, I am having a lot of fun!

Stirring up more trouble, @J.El? I like your style!

Chris' powers are growing each time he uses them. During the fight he access knowledge from the books and immediately put them to use. Since Raymond is seeing Chris for the first time, I think he realizes that Chris is not human. I too believe that Chris will need to tell them. Soccer season? Either Chris will have to learn how to slow down, or quit the team. Since Chris is a nice person, I think he'll come up with a reason to quit. Shouldn't the letter from Stoker U be here soon? I'm betting both Leo and Chris will be accepted.

Marc's team are on his side. Reba knew and supports Marc. Karen suspected but has no problem. Tim was the big surprise admitting he had feelings for Marc at one time. Rick is upset, but I don't think it is about Marc. He's pissed because none of the team has trusted him enough to send any clues his way. Rachael was hurt, but cares enough for Marc to want to remain his best friend. Now Sawyer need a way to make up for his actions. The honest conversation were realistic and a great way to show how his friend support Marc. BTW I think Bruce might be up to connecting with Rachael, Karen and/or Tim. Bet he visits again soon.
