Why oh why doesn't GA have a emoji for a groan?

Sounds very familiar to me also. Rusty and Matty have a lot in common with characters in Ronyx's stories. Hopefully Laura's twists will not be as dangerous and violent as some of Ronyx's. Right now I think both boys as well as Conor are hiding behind masks. Matty's is not a permanent mask, and Rusty's is crumbling.

An interesting trip to another museum. I am looking forward to the trip to Macedonia. I love Greek and Turkish coffees. They almost taste the same, but brewed slightly differently.

I definitely hope that they get to visit the grave of Ivan's grandfather before they leave Europe. I imagine Colin has already made arrangements. Phivos looks like a very nice restaurant with great food. The pictures of it on the net also showed a roof top area with a great view of the mountains. Google User: Stacey Shackford I have been fascinated by Greece since studying it in the fifth grade. You have given me even more information. I also googled the museum they went to in Delphi. I was amazed it had a statue of Antinous, the young Greek lover of the Emperor Hadrian. I really appreciate the education the guys are getting on this trip. Picture from Wikipedia.

Amy had said she sensed the entity was lost when they first arrived at Osteppi House. Now Charlie has found out that Oshtàpày House is inhabited by a manitou that was visiting. The manitou dwells in wood. Curious. BTW there are at least two haunted mansions in Jim Thorpe. The Harry Packer Mansion Inn, and the Jim Thorpe Inn where everyone stayed the first night. I did have to laugh a bit at the Switzerland of America bit, since several places claim that title in both North and South America. Here's one in Leavenworth, WA and another in Argentina.

Awesome! Looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Hi Albert! The orchids are beautiful! Hope your weekend is going well.

As usual Laura is teasing us all and making us relax a bit before she slams us all with a major twist and a lot of anxiety. Matty is slowing inching his way into Rusty. Rusty is not clueless, he is just reluctant to give up the persona he uses as a mask for the real Rusty. The real Rusty has already fallen in love with Matty.

It is great to have a surprise story in the Charlie Boone universe. This beginning has immediately grabbed my interest. I can't wait to visit Osteppi House. I like Gretchen and wouldn't be surprised if the house and grounds are home to a genius loci. Since Browbeat's suit can change colors, I wonder if it could also change shapes. It would sure make it easier for him to freely help without the fear of interacting with humans. Geron, you better post the chapters like normal, or you will face the wrath of your readers. Watch out for them. At the core is a group of Korner Krew, and these guys are vicious. 🤪 Just ask @kbois she'll give you advice on how to handle them safely.

I have a feeling the dreams are much more than dreams. Dreams don't usually leave a tug and reassurance in the back of your mind.
-
Henry will be training Chris how to defend himself. Yeah! Chris needs it and with Henry's age and experience I'm sure Chris will quickly learn some very advanced strategies to protect himself.
-
I love this story and felt the love and loyalty of Victor's staff said much about what a great person Victor is.
-
I think this may have been a Blood Army attack. Chris did seem to be the target. The founders of the Blood Army are old vampires that probably had access to the books in the Vampire Council's vaults. They are probably aware that Chris is very special. A lot more questions from this chapter.
-
That fight was vicious! Well written and exciting. What happens to Chris is a cliffhanger. Will he or won't he turn? Will he change to a hybrid because he isn't a true human? How will it change his dreams, or will they stop? So many questions.
-
I think it is time for Chris to tell Victor and maybe his dad about the dreams. The dreams are becoming more real and connected to reality. I remembered reading this. I think after what we have learned, Chris is an elf. The elves may have returned, or were hiding in plain sight by marrying into the human population. The merchant at the state fair called Chris "my lord" and said he would see him again. The merchant had to be one of the people to whom Chris is the prince. I am still not sure how Leo is fitting in this story. Victor mentioned

Chris find a book in Victor's library that is similar to those he has found in his "dream" library. It has the same effect on Chris as the books in the dream library. Some commented on the dream possibly being a vision. I would add one more possibility. Maybe it is a time displacement. Could the tower be from the time the elves disappeared? I do hope someone can read these books still, although I question if it is safe for Victor to consult the Vampire High Council.

Hey All! Just wanted to say Good Morning/Good Night. Aod and I are out with friends tonight. Have a great Friday!

The trip sounds like it was a wonderful time relaxing with all. William made a statement that has me wondering. He said he will soon have time to spend with them. It also sounds like Chris has reached the top of the library.

I like how the story is progressing. You have a very good writing style that is compelling and easy to read. That pendant is still a mystery.
-
The day in museums and lunch with August went very well. I like August. He seems very up front and honest. I look forward to seeing him more in the story. The book with the green cover, moon and paw seems to hint that it is about werewolves. I suspect the progression is based on what has happened in Chris' life and/or what's to come.
-
The game went well, and the hotel was awesome. Dinner was interesting as they met the Alpha of Alphas, August. He and Victor seemed to get along well, and the invitation to lunch was well received. I am also curious about Chris and the meaning of the pendant. So far it doesn't seem connected to either the werewolf or vampire world. Leo is sure getting an education along with Chris. William was certainly impressed by meeting August.

It may be a good zone for you @drpaladin, but I am 12 hours ahead of Geron. I'll be sleeping off my date night with the hubby by then. At least I'll have something to look forward to in the morning. 😄

Dang! I'll chalk it up to old age. Love the gif!

I don't envy you the school work. I remember how hard it can be to get things done according to someone else's schedule when getting my degrees in education. Especially when there were several different, competing schedules. I'm glad you're getting some better weather. I don't mind the weather here, but the pollution is getting horrible. Since it is a yearly occurrence, you'd think I'd get use to it. 🤪 Aod and I are going out tonight with friends, but the rest of the weekend we will probably get some chores done. I do need to get a haircut, and maybe do my US tax returns for the year. Monday we are going out for dinner with friends, and maybe explore interesting bars in the Old City area.

This was an excellent end to the story. It surprised me that Dennis actually spoke the words that seemed to sum up the theme of the book. The other theme dominate in the story was how people can and do change over time. Somethings remain the same, but everyone does have things that don't change. I truly wonderful story.
