Rory made a promise to Eddie, but it was soon tested by Luke. Rory had heard enough to know that Luke and his friends did not like Aaron. Aaron was nice to Eddie and paid attention to him while the others played. Luke, mad at Aaron overreacted when Rory wanted to keep the contact information. He should have cooled down and later told Rory why he didn't like Aaron. Instead he has now alienated Aaron. That seems to be the theme of this chapter for both Rory and Luke. Their anger blocks communication needed to make things work better for all.

From partners to engaged in a few short chapters, magnificent! I agree that the adults should have told Ashley before her little ears got the wrong message. Poor Cove was left worrying, but at least got a nice ring a bit ahead of time. Not the end, but I will have to say I will miss this story when it does end.

It took a while, but finally Ash and Cove are now partners. With Cove's comment about being dessert, I laughed when he said, "Come on, food's on me." It sounded at first like he was saying he'd be the plate off which Ash at the food. Leslie was an awkward surprise. She was just as bad as I had expected. Ash being a test subject in a test designed by Ashley was a surprise. Ash passed the test that others before failed. Amazing writing.

Connor's S.H.I.T. show was very impressive. Which televangelist did he study under? Zoey needs to save her questions for a later date when she can shoot the shit with him in front of the S.H.I.T. in the audience. Maybe she can dislodge the pulpit Connor has stuck up his butt. Rusty is so confusing in his state of confusion. He has apparently thought about hard cocks for quite some time, but doesn't that make him bisexual? I wonder if the problem with his father stems from Rusty suppressing his sexuality in order to get the approval of his father. -
Sawyer's frustration is very understandable. The fact he had decided to accept Kurt's invitation and yet felt guilty shows how much he is falling for Marc. Aunt May is one stubborn lady. Considering Sawyer stubbornness, it is a family trait. Fate once again cockblocks these two. Finn's unannounced visit was not just upsetting. I don't like Finn. He seems to get pleasure in putting Sawyer down and stir up trouble. What reason does he have for the visit? It seems to be a lot of time and expense just to say a quick hello.

Bruce is pinning for Edgewood, and I suspect at least two reasons other than his friendship with Sawyer. The discovery of the secret passage was a bit scary. Even more is Aunt May's fall. Like @drsawzall I took care of my mother for many years. A fall at Aunt May's age is a big problem especially for a woman. Women are more susceptible to breaking bones at that age. My mom fell and broke her hip and within a few years had both legs amputated above the knee. Her life became much more limited and difficult. If Aunt may doesn't want to bother Marc, she should see a doctor as quick as she can.

Colin and Armand are raising the boys so well. Their boys are interested in history, learning new cultures and asking great questions. They are open to trying new foods, a rarity among youth. Arnaud is a good tour guide with the right amount of patience to enjoy the boys.

I laughed at Rachel's candor. She's Marc's beard and knows his secret even if they don't talk about it. Bruce is a good and loyal sidekick with a wicked sense of humor. There may have been a brief history with Sawyer, but that's in the past. Since he is bisexual I can see him falling in love with Karen. She maybe his match with her looks and strong character. She would know how to keep Bruce in line. Marc' wall are falling and his reasons for secrecy are quickly evaporating. By my count there are at least three very important persons in his live, maybe four, that I am sure know he's gay and in love. I'm sticking to my theories until @Libby Drew throws them out the window.

A slow, smoldering burn doesn't give the comforting heat a good fire brings, but it is a fun read. I am very amused whenever Marc squirms and gets distracted around Sawyer. Marc reminds me of a small squirming boy clutching his crotch too embarrassed to tell anyone he need to pee. Can't wait to find out what happens when Marc and Sawyer discover the dark, narrow secret passage. 😳

Sawyer! Trust in Reba. She's already your smart and sharp-witted ally. Marc! Don't sweat it, your secret is already out. Reba has both you and Sawyer pegged. I do love strong female characters with loyalty and wit. Great chapter.

Marc doesn't see it yet, but he is in a losing battle. Tortured? By a man you barely know Marc? Sawyer has the ability to change Marc's mind, but it will be a long project. At least Sawyer will have the time to continue Marc' torture while Marc works on restoring Sawyer's house.

I really understand Marc and what he is experiencing. Small town, gossip and hiding who I was. I was both fearful of others and angry at myself for not having the courage to be myself. I remember clearly the first time I felt free to be myself. I walked hand in hand with a friend in a popular state park after a decade of hiding. I hope Sawyer can help Marc to become free like that.

This made me recall great memories of childhood and early adult life. I loved going to estate and moving sales as well as browsing antiques shops. Great start to the story with two interesting young men, and one loving, eccentric aunt.

Ancalagon is another great tale by Cia. With the short chapters this is an easy to read book. Whether you like sci-fi or not this story is a fun, exciting read. Essell is an exobiologist on his first real assignment. A hostile ship captain causes him to escape to Ardra. He doesn't know how to fly the ship, but survives a crash landing. He bonds with a local fauna he names Bouncer, faces a fearsome, unknown alien and has a near death experience. That's when the fun begins. Cia is an excellent author and this story like others she has written checks off all the boxes on the recommendations list. I love the story and give it my highest recommendation.

I love the ending, but will miss this story very much. Hopefully, Cia will decided to expand on this like she did Carthera Tales. I think a story about the most irritating, brilliant and bumbling best friend of Garjah would be a fun story. Maybe Timok could redesign his own alien boyfriend to love. Thanks for another exciting tale for us.
