    When Aod and I went to lunch at a new place today we went by Chiang Mai University Agriculture Fair. They have thousands of plants for sale, many are orchids! We are going to go there so I can buy some orchids. I used to grow orchids in the US and again when I move to Chiang Mai. When I sold my first home here the new owners wanted the orchids, and my new place didn't have room. Now I have several balconies that just beg for some beautiful orchids.

    Hey Clo! The weekend was great. Friday night out was fun, but Saturday a bit sedate. Sunday was spent shopping and fixing things at home. Today we are going out for lunch and coffee.

    Hi Clo! I hope you had a good Sunday off! According to what Drew said about his wake up routine, you might have 2 or 3 more hours of peace before he show up. Hopefully, I will have gone to sleep. That boy exhausts me! .....And No! I don't mean the way your naught brain thinks that means.

    There are one hell of a lot of interesting things that happened and new information, but I still haven't pieced it all together yet. I think that the wolf mate is wounded, but has a chance to live. I also think that Kavan's power to heal Gideon is not related to killing the lykan, Armin. Kavan's interest in the "pit" doesn't explain why Kavan followed Gideon there. It also does not explain why Kavan was able to find Gideon when Kavan first lost track of him and his team. Gideon becomes more complex as we find out more about him. His actions and behaviors now seem a defense to protect him from his past as a slave fighter in the pit.

    Alex seems to have an instinctive sense of how to push Ed's buttons. Lilith is an interesting name, since it is the name of both a demon and Adam's first wife according to the Talmud before Eve disposed her. I like the dialogue which has a very natural flow between Alex and Ed.

    Alex has a lot of guts and great intuition. Ed has problems he is not dealing with and Alex is forcing him to face these problems. The kitten is hard to resist, and Alex seems to know that Ed will not reject it. A pet helps make the loneliness a lot less intense.

    Alex's reaction to meeting Ed was very unexpected. It make me wonder what has prompted that kind of reaction to Ed surly behavior. What kind of parents would produce a young guy like Alex to try to make a friend of Ed who seems to reject Alex immediately. This plot is both interesting and twisted from the start.

    Alex seems to have parent problems. With neither parent developed I would not judge, but his father seems very unsympathetic. Ed's judgement of Alex's description of the apartment building is judgmental and more related to Ed's ego than the truth. Ed's description of an apartment that is Soviet style with things like the elevators that don't consistently work seem to back up Alex's claim to his father. I am looking to see what Alex's background is like.

    An interesting start with an unusual setting. Implied is that the apartment building is somewhere that was occupied by the Soviet Union. The war that Ed served in is not mentioned, nor is Ed's nationality. Both might be irrelevant, but I am curious. It seems both the older and younger men have troubled lives, and are lonely.
