Good day All! Except for Clo and Bucket, did you all get up early today?

That would explain the twitter monster you sent us yesterday. If you had your morning coffee first, you might have recognize that was not a tamale.

Hunter may not be well, but I'm happy he didn't get hurt worse than he did. I am sure Nurse Seth will make sure he behaves. Sorry to find out it is one of Martha's family behind what is happening. It sounds like Ed has made a good plan, and knowing he is ordering some of the men to protect their home and friends is a relief.

A lot of drama in this chapter. Sam is being an asshat bigot, but I'm glad Ed, Tom and Sam's dad read him the riot act. I suspect that Hunter is being targeted by the rustlers, and may be Mike. Mike doesn't seem like he can follow instructions, so he may not have left town as ordered.

Thanks @Yeoldebard I agree 100% about Morningstar. The other three I am adding to my must read list. I haven't read them yet, even knowing Sasha is an excellent writer. I appreciate you taking the time to send recommendations!

Who says it would be casual? I could see them making a great detective team. Caleb could help sniff out evidence as well as culprits.

Who is teaching who? Is this course and advanced course, or just a survey course?😉

I would agree with that. Aod and I waited too long to neuter Orange, and we've been stuck for years cleaning the legs of furniture, and corners of the rooms to get rid of the marks she makes. We also have to put up with her 3-4 weeks of screeching and dry humping three times a year. I drives me crazy when that happens. Aod thinks it is funny. 😠

Too late! I was in bed and asleep when you wrote this. You need to get up earlier in the morning. I don't know if GA's times posted on comment are correct, but you must have slept in until lunch. A little late to work Drew.

guess i show to much detail in the story, i don't like reading a story myself that goes from week to week in each paragraph without some detail about what the person is thinking or doing. When i read novels with people working on ranch's there is a lot of information in them about the men and what they are doing. So i guess i'm following that lead. @ShadowDancer I agree that the grammatical errors are a bit annoying, however a quick rewrite of the story with the help of a good editor would make this great story easier to read. I disagree with the the statement about the filler. A story with descriptions of the setting, environment, emotional reflections and the everyday activities contribute to the ambiance and authenticity of any story, especially great stories. I suggest reading Headstall's Sidewinder Series. His descriptions enhance the real feel of the plot, and help the reader feel as if watching what's happening first hand. It kind of makes you forget you are reading, because you feel a part of what's happening. It's an awesome set of western stories that come highly recommended and still appears in the monthly update of top reads. Keep working on improving this story, it's not too late to get this story to the top of the GA queue. I think one of your strengths so far is the plot, with character development a close second.

There seems to be a mutual attraction between Seth and Hunter, but they still haven't figured out they are both gay. Hunter did the right thing going to Tom for advice. From Sam's comments I don't feel he will have a problem. He seems confused and hurt because Hunter didn't tell him about being gay and Sam never expected that. It is a reaction much like a best straight friend might have in similar situations. Sam does declare that he is not a bigot, and there may be other reasons for wanting to move out of the bunkhouse. Seth is sweet and I liked the way he treats his horse Sammy. Now we know what happened that has made Max and Ed concerned about Seth. Breaking up with Tim was not easy on Seth.

A cavalry of gay soldiers have arrived to save the day. Interesting that Hunter has an attraction to Seth, the one that arrived without a partner. The big reveal was bigger than expected. For the most part the cowboys don't have a problem. It has lead to Ed deciding to make some improvements to the bunk house. I do wonder about Sam's reaction.

Hey Clo! I was just commenting on the eyes. He's still up for grabs if your naughty enough. Then he could use his penetrating......er.... eyes on you. 😁

I'm glad that Butch and Cisco are not badly injured. I do worry about Hunter going out alone. I suspect that the fence has been cut and the rustlers plan on raiding the ranch. I wouldn't be surprised if Mike was there leading them.

Ed, Martha and Tom are good people, and I am sure that Hunter will have their support in the meeting. I applaud Ed for firing Mike. I suspect his is part of the cattle rustling problem. I wonder if Robert is Bobby? Good chapter.

Mike sure is an asshole. I hope Ed tell him to hit the highway. A good twist to the plot, and I'm looking to find out where this leads.

I think it will be Great! You took an Epic-logue and turned it into one heck of a great novella! You've included a bunch of great mysteries within the confines of your novels. This one will be just longer. You know how to write realistic dialogue, excellent cliffhangers and exciting action as well as danger! (Example: Loe falling down the mountain.) It may be a bit difference and a challenge lady, but you can do it! And do it brilliantly. I am very excited about the new story. Besides, Rob Possible is a great character to base the story on. A sexy, driven detective with a lot of charm and a good heart as the MC is a magical combo. Your going to increase your fan base with this story. 😍😍😍

Good western stories are hard to find on GA. I am hopeful, because this story is off to a good start. Your development of Hunter is very good and I like that you have introduced some of the crew and the owner. Also, the beginning of the plot is sufficient to intrigue me as I also love mysteries. I'm looking forward to reading this story.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday no matter what day it is celebrated. The rest are just too commercial or religious to be the best for me. Damned but those eyes could penetrate my soul.

Sleep well Bucket! ❤️

Mother is one vile bitch. To be so greedy and uncaring for her clan as to incite an unwinnable battle should be punished by having her head cut off. I am hoping that there are a few good Night Clan members left that are strong enough to challenge her for leadership of the clan. I agree with @scrubber6620 that I don't like Konstantin's bloodsong complication with Katherine.

Yes, but this is just one of those times where I want to trash what's realistic to have some honest justice. What they did to Loe and Lars was horrible! Selling their son into sexual slavery that he would probably not survive is evil. Letting them live free after all their evil acts, because they kept it secret long enough to escape the law seems like a punishment to their victims. You sure know how to arouse my emotions! I still hope they will be made to pay for all their evil crimes.

I can't wait for this new story. I love mysteries and detectives that get revenge...er...justice for the villains. I just wish it was possible to serve justice to Loe's parents. I still think my idea for their disposal from JayLoe was a good one.

I loved this comment, and at first reacted with a laugh, because I thought about this:
