Thanks Albert! Sounds like a great meal. I'll take a raincheck, however. By the time I get there, you and Steve will be in Hawaii.😄

Naptown 03 - A Dance to Remember
raven1 reviewed Altimexis's story in 2007 - Winter - Worth Fighting For
I love this short sweet tale of fighting for our rights. The ending was a funny twist, and left me in a great mood and LMAO! This is a quick feel good story to cheer up a day. -
This is a sweet tale and I loved the fun twisted ending. What a way to get the kids at the dance to listen and understand the nondiscrimination rules with three dramatic public announcements by the assistant principal, principal and the star quarterback. It left me LMAO!

Though a beautifully written short story, the circumstances of the story make it difficult to read. I admire Brat's love and devotion to his younger brother and sister. Also, his strength and sense of responsibility that has held them together for so long. This is a quick read that feels very rewarding at the end.

Though beautifully written, the circumstances of the story make it difficult to read. I admire Brat's love and devotion to his younger brother and sister. Also, his strength and sense of responsibility that has held them together for so long. Knowing that he is free to resume his life as a teenager makes it a happy ending. Stephen's father demonstrates the skills and intelligence to provide the guidance and strength to help them build a much better life in the future. Stephen's concern and friendship for Brat will also be important to the three as an older brother and a friend who can help them adjust to being in a normal family with rules. Brat needs that considering his background of breaking rules and problems with his temper.

Anthology Flashback: Winter 2007 - Worth Fighting For

@Myr Just want to thank you for reposting older anthologies. I have been trying to read some of the older stories, but have to do a bit of hit or miss searching. I'm looking forward to reading these. Thanks, Terry- 17 comments

Good question and I feel the same need to see those two deceased also. One explanation in either in the story or a comment made sense to me. Sebastian is afraid if they move on these two, it will spook the other auction winners. That would either lead to the deaths of the hybrids, or making them harder to find as all the assholes run to cover.

Sounds good to me too. But I would change the sauce to arrabiata sauce seasoned heavily with red pepper flakes. I do like things hot!

Becca and Devin must have provided a wonderful home filled with love for Ashton and Austin. I hope the strong beginning of their youth have provided them the strength to survive. Both Tyler and Elijah seem captivated by their beauty. I wonder if the technicolor wolves were Kage's mischevious hint that the young wolves were gay as in the rainbow flag of colors? Of course the polka-dotted wolf may indicate a kink or two in their personality.

Well the gang has beat me to the posts one more time. I do like that they are celebrating Ray's 15th. Also finding it funny that Tyler seems to be fixated on his sexy friend, Logan.😉

It's obvious where Chris is headed with Victor. I hope Victor is heading in the same direction. A few hints of possible trouble ahead in the story, but nothing too obvious at the moment. Leo is a good friend and his approval pleases Chris.

One and possibly two hot father son relationships, a great friend and an unreadable book in a mysterious recurring dream. This is an interesting set up for a story. I'm intrigued. Looking forward to where this will lead.

@wolfwriter This has been a beautiful story, but the ending feels more like an abandoned story with no HEA for any of the characters. Tim is sad his friend will no longer have a fated mate, Jon no longer has a mother because of his misinterpretation of her last comment, Steve got karmic payback the instant he realized fated mates were true and he had one, Tony got crushed losing someone whom he felt was safe in his dream and Jon's family is now split. Too many loose threads and hurt characters to feel like a good ending. The Trip to Love title does not accurately describe the story yet. I do hope you will find the inspiration to complete this book someday. You have potential to be a great writer and I hope you achieve that status.
-
The trip seems to be going very smoothly for all, except for the blip of new bonding rage. Tim was surprised by it, but I wonder if Steve would have survived if Jon and Tim had been fully bonded when Steve pulled his shit. I like that at least Tony will have a safe place while he looks for his fated mate, and that at least one of Tim's friends will be close.
-
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that kbois isn't late today. I will have just enough time to read before my Date Night with the hubby.

As Gary commented, the completion of the bond was hot! Alpha Jefferson is being an ass. He certainly does not show respect for the fated mates that don't fit his beliefs. The nice thing is that Jasper has chosen to be with his son and move to a new pack, as well as a new job. I do hope that Tim's friends have an opportunity to meet Jon before he and Tim leave. The only thing more I could hope for is that his friends decide they want to live in a more inclusive pack, and take the opportunity to find their fated mates in a new pack. It would feel good to know that Jasper's chosen family want to stay together and move out west with his family. May we'll find out if this is possible in the next chapter.

Good chapter! Steve sure shot himself in the foot with his bigotry, betrayal, jealousy and slutty behaviors. Now Jennie will not have to intervene, but I do hope that Jon will find out about his mother's defense of Jon and Tim's relationship. She has definitely had a change of attitude, and is regaining the great heart she had when raising Jon.

Good chapter with two pieces that caught my attention. Asher started out afraid of Elias and wanted Elias gone. Asher has now changed his attitude and seems more aware of Elias' physical characteristics. This change implies that a bond may be emerging. However, I am curious what that bond would be considering Elias is a ghost and Asher is not. The other piece is finding out Elias' name and Asher's attempt at finding out about Elias on the museum website. The museum knows more about Elias, but doesn't post it in the website. Is this a ploy to entice visitors? Or... is it because of the nature of the information about Elias that might not be appropriate for the general public? Of course there could be other reasons, and that is why I am eagerly awaiting the next chapter.

@Headstall, I finished reading Finding Refuge...the second time. Had to laugh at myself, since I told you last night I hadn't read it. I read and reviewed it only 2 months ago. I got to the first mention of Cholo and realized I remember almost all of the story. That didn't stop me from reading it again, because it is a beautiful story, beautifully told. You do write a mighty fine western Gary. I think of you as a storyteller, and not just a writer of westerns. I'll follow your stories whether they're new stories, side stories, short stories, novellas, or sequels no matter the genres. (Even a cowboy vampire. ) It's your great ability to tell a story that I appreciate most, and keeps me reading and rereading your stories.

This chapter left me feeling very warm and happy. First, because Jon's mother told them the truth about her prejudices and there is hope she will find redemption for her behaviors and once again become the loving mother of Jon's youth. The second reason is because Jon proved his love for Tim by insisting that time stay with him while Jon's mother explained what happened. It also provided Jon with the opportunity to prove to here that they are true/fated mates by showing their marks. The last bit of happiness is Tyler pulling Tim into the group hug as his brother and part of the family. Jeremy's message was both a cause for happiness and a bit of added humor. Jeremy has his own mate, but not the woman of Jeremy's dreams. Somehow I think that will all work out in spite of Jeremy's shock at the situation. Love this chapter.

Considering the vast amount of bonded characters in your books, that must have felt like a earthquake. 😜

I really liked the feature you wrote and the comments it inspired. You just got a new follower for the blog. I also follow a few other blogs, but like this had to find out about them indirectly. As GA has grown, so has the list of blogs, so it takes more effort to find blogs that I might be interested reading. Maybe a grouping or tag identifying blog content might help readers find blogs of interest to them. I hope to read more in this blog now that I am following it. Again, thanks for the feature and all the work you do to improve the GA site, Spike!

Jennie went way past being an irritation, past an impossible bitch and well into the land of hateful, bigoted asshole. I wanted to rant at her and tell her off so much. Jackie impressed me as a rude slut at best. I could not believe that she made a pass at Tim! I really feel sorry for Jon's dad and brothers. Their support of Tim and Jon is great, but they will now be subjected to the vile hate and bigotry of their mother and wife. I wonder how much they will be able to stand before they to leave her alone. I especially worry for Tyler being the youngest and most vulnerable to her vicious nature. You really got the emotions going in this chapter, @wolfwriter!
