  1. Hi All! Hope you are all well this morning. Drew must be in a mellow mood. I didn't notice any nukes going off last night!
  2. The problem there would be to find a country that would accept him. 😜
  3. So you are saying you accepted the approval from Ted Cruz, because he is a Texan? 😲
  4. If I were Drew I'd watch out for the last one. You don't sass Gordie. He really knows how to use a big stick! 😉
  5. That's probably because he's trying to get you out of Texas. He does try to make things as miserable as possible for anyone who opposes him. I am sure that he know how many times you have tried to send him back to Canada.
  6. Garrett was definitely a warrior defending his family. He overwhelmed Judge Harrison to get what Garrett felt was needed to protect Andy and keep him in the family. Judge Harrison was a great ally. The discussion they has was very realistically written and impressed me with how handled a difficult situation so professionally. I especially liked that the judge made sure Andy understood all the ramifications of what Andy was legally giving his permission to happen. I loved Garrett's last words to Andy.
  7. Awakening to find Zander still felt the same the next morning was delightful. Breakfast started to look grim, but as the Stevensons started to learn then see the truth of Andy's life, it was like a call to arms. It is good that Dad is a lawyer. I suspect with all that has happened to Andy, will require the knowledge and experience of a good lawyer on Andy's side. Who better than Garrett? Monica is a loving mother and very protective. I was impressed that she was able to quickly realized what she had done and why. It made her explanation and apology that much more powerful to Andy. This is a great turning point and written so well it was very realistic.
  8. First, I apologize for not commenting on chapters since almost the beginning. I am aware of the effects of spousal and child abuse by parents indirectly. I and my brother lived wonderful sheltered lives with our parents, but we were children of their second marriage. Both of the first marriages ended because of abuse of spouse and/or children. I don't shy away from the subject, but it is extremely difficult to read about things like this. To make it easier for me to read, I skipped reading and making comments until this chapter. Second, I did love this chapter as the beginning of a new life for Andy. I hope he will be able to get the help and love he needs from this wonderful family. I finally feel that happiness and the ability to build his future in a positive way lies ahead. I also do need to tell you that your great writing skills were very evident throughout the story. That was very evident to me, because of the way I reacted to Andy's trials. Thanks for telling this story.

    Chapter 28

Shit! I've only been in one and never want to be in another. Oregon was the bullseye of an abnormal Pacific Typhoon named Freda aka the Columbus Day Storm. Where I was living was about 100 miles from the coast, but they eye went right over us. It scared the daylights out of me, and demolished the ranch style home across the street from my home. It also cause a lot of damage to the trailer park next to our home. Please take all precautions and stay safe. I'll have fingers crossed and send some prayers your way.
  10. I honestly almost stopped reading this story. I don't handle angst too well. I made it through the first 5 chapters and keep looking for it to have a little bit of hope. At chapter 15 I had about given up. I decided that I would plow through three or four more chapters. Finally, things began to get better when Eric met Eustice. So, I can finally give a chapter a positive reaction instead of the anger or sad emoji. Hope it continues for some more chapters. I do have to admit that the writing is exceptionally skilled. The character development and pace are excellent as well as the dialogue and realistic feeling to the story. (Which is so real that I was having angst for the first 18 chapters.) 😊

    Chapter 28

I don't remember whether it has been posted, but in what part of Florida do @kbois live? East coast, west coast, south, central or northern Florida. I'm trying to track Ian and don't like the news. I hope everyone will be fine there, but obviously am concerned about our GA friends in Florida.
  12. I see you all are still working it out of your system. BTW, I have a theory about Big Booms and Big Bikes. Want to hear it?

    Library Reading

I can't believe all the stupid, incompetent and hateful people in Stefan's universe. It is just too unreal. Even in the worst places in the USA, there are at least some nice people. So far, the only realistic person was the lady who needed her lawn mowed.

    Normal and Weird

Stefan's dad is nothing more than a twisted, sadistic monster. He might even be less than that. It makes me wonder about what really happened to Stefan's mother.

    Noticed

As difficult it is to read about a child that is abused, like Stefan, I know it must be even harder to write about this as an author. The sad part is that neither the reader or the author can truly feel anything near the pain and suffering of real children in abusive families or situations. I appreciate the hard task you take when you are writing this story. I'll stick with it.

    A Journal

I think the beginning of this story is very well written and makes me want to read more. The abuse of a child is very discomforting and more pointedly so because of the journal format. I am intrigued. I am glad you mentioned to Gary (Headstall) that the first 5 chapters are the hardest, then it gets better. I will try to make it through to the good stuff.

    Chapter 3

Even with some background in science, I appreciate Mike and Bobby's requests for clarification. 😊 So they have found one end of the machine, but Nabakeah seems to be in the middle of nowhere between the two ends. I wonder what they will find there? Will it be a building or simply a place where things can happen? The biggest mystery of what it does is the most intriguing part of this story. Another great chapter, and they haven't had to fight anyone yet.
  18. Yes, just a few of us.
  19. Who could forget Defective Serpent's Mouth? Your choice of a name for him was hysterically accurate! He was a failure at convincing folks with all his lies. To think for a few chapters, I thought he might be a major antagonist. I quickly changed my mind when I remembered your propensity to carefully name things. After I looked up Phineas, I couldn't help but laugh. I personally interpreted Lemon as a defect.
  20. Explosions was a great story. I too am waiting for more stories in the series.
  21. I had to look up the book. It sounds like something I would really like. I love figure skating, but am a hockey fanatic. I followed the Major Juniors, NHL and Olympics for over 3 decades before retiring to Thailand. It is one of the things I miss most living here. I'll have to see if I can find the book on Amazon. Thanks for mentioning the book Page!
  22. My reading habits are similar. Last spring I was following 12 or 13 stories on GA and trying to keep caught up. I've tried to cut down some, because I would put things off I should or wanted to do. The watching party sounds like fun. I have heard a lot about Stranger Things here, I may have to give in and watch some episodes. Hope you have a good week.
  23. Big dreams are the beginning of great things. I like the fact that Max doesn't limit his imagination. I love ballet, but dancing has been a part of my life since my mom enrolled me in a modern dance class at age 11. You might have seen this clip, but it is fun to watch and shows a different form of dancing in competition. The first couple are a little more energetic, but the second is just as good. What amazes me is that the guys seem to do a lot of the more athletic moves.
  24. Trust me, Aod does not need help getting into trouble. He has mastered the art and can give lessons. He and my brother Tom got together several years back when Tom visited us for two weeks. They hit it off immediately and proceeded to gang up and tease me endlessly. Love them both, but was relieved to see my brother go back to the states.
