    Chapter 88

I sighed in relief when they found out the everything had been arranged as planned. The landing was rough and Garjah said it was because they were not invited. I don't know what that means exactly, but it must be a result of the Kardoval's displeasure. I understand Garjah's need to appear strong, but like Essell wish he would wear a suit just this once. Garjah's speech was what was needed to be said, especially true was this sentence: I live in Thailand, one of the few countries to not be a European colony. The kings of Thailand adhered to the idea expressed by Garjah.

    Tease

Dorian accuses Levi of going both ways, then stick his into Levi. I would say that Dorian also goes both ways. I don't know enough about Terry to make a decision, but there should be some evidence available if Terry's story is true. Levi is the big question at this point. Only Dorian knows enough about Levi to know if he is trustworthy.

    I Accept

Knowing Dorian it will probably be all the paperwork and diplomacy that make him the grouch he becomes later. Thanks for another great chapter.

    So Say We All

I must have been a bittersweet win for Dorian. He wanted a transition without blood, but had to kill 4 men. He wanted the pack to pick the next alpha and they did. Now he has the job he didn't want, will doing his duty give him the satisfaction and happiness his old jobs gave him? I somehow doubt it.
  5. Good timing Page. Aod and I went to the Nong Hoi farmers market on the way home. 😁

    I Never Knew

The funeral was peaceful and respectful. I thought the speeches about Alpha Wagner were special and a great tribute to him. I was also impressed by what Luna Wagner told Dorian. I think knowing how the alpha felt about Dorian and his relationship with him helped Dorian accept the loss of his alpha. I am enjoying this story very much. Thanks WolfM!

    Preparations

Dorian did surprise me by being friends with other species. His attitude towards them seemed different than before. Of course his main objections then had been against humans and turned wolves. I like this Dorian who is different and yet much the same. His taking charge and ordering council member around does provide evidence of his ability to become the alpha of the pack. Looking forward to more.

    Dark Days

Dorian is showing that he is a force to be reckoned with. He is demanding that proper respect as well as order is maintained by the pack. The surviving members of the council seem to think of only one thing, personal power.
  9. We are good. Just going out to do some chores like banking and shopping.

    Changing

I enjoyed finding out more in this chapter about Dorian and his family. It is important, because it shows how and where Dorian's strengths and ethics were developed. These are the things that changed how I felt about him in Running with the Pack. I also don't believe the stabbing has anything to do with what poisoned him in Running with the Pack. I remember that Ethan had to cure him twice, not once. I liked the ending conversations with his friends.

    Reflection

I really hated Dorian at the beginning of the alpha conference in Running with the Pack, but came to love the character by the end of the book. I wanted to know more about him and what happened to him. Great start! Thanks for granting my wish.
  12. Hey All! Just wanted to say Goodnight! Have a great day.
  13. Hi Bucket. Every thing here is going well. Lazy day with a little shopping and some reading. How about you?
  14. Hi Albert Sawasdee Khrup 🙏 How are you and Steve doing today?
  15. Marc was told by his father to leave the family ranch for being gay. He finds a ranch where he is accepted by the owner Ryan and becomes a foreman of the Double R ranch. His best friend is Casey the foreman of a neighbouring Del Rio ranch. One drunken night changes everything. Unbearable secrets, open hostility erupting into fights, sullen stubbornness that lack communications and an underlying yearning permeate this story of love. Happy ending, yes, but not happy ever after. That is left to be seen. The story is well written and very realistic. The characters are both flawed, but identifiable and engaging. The setting is well developed and this feels like an authentic western story. The plot is well written and has a smooth continuity. A very good read.

  16. Hey Drew! Sawasdee Khrup 🙏 How are you today? I have to tell you I love your cats. I have had a house filled with both dogs and cats, usually at the same time. I love/loved them all. What is surprising to some is that after acclimating to each other, the cats and dogs become close to each other. I would often find my scottie and barn cat cuddled together sleeping. It was so cute.
  17. BTW Thanks for the great mention of the Oregon Zoo in Portland. In my youth I was an education docent, and loved spending the time with all the wonderful animals and people there. It was fun to imagine one of the kids doing something like Loe did.❤️
  18. I am still a little upset a Loe. Two weeks of being mad about the problem definitely is not healthy for a good relationship. I know he is facing many things that seem foreign to him like living together, holidays and sharing feelings. He should work some on the idea of give and take and extend it to Jay. He does fine with his friends, but with Jay it always seems to be more like a game of tug of war. The make up sex was so funny...."two and one half minutes for you and two and one half minute for me. Deal?" I hope Ruby didn't get too cold, but cold shouldn't be a real problem for her after what she saw. I can easily imagine Jay's thoughts as he processed Seamus' request. I don't know if Loe will find out before or after the visit, but it will be interesting to see what Loe does when he finds out. Glad the controversy from last chapter is finished.
  19. Great photos of these lovely cats. We have a communal condo cat that looks like Mr. Meow, and behaves much like you described. Missy looks a lot like our Orange/Som at least the head and tail. Is Missy an American Shorthair?

    Two of Swords

After reading the news and learning about the fight in Jack's place just before he disappeared, I believe Terry thinks the body in the lake may be Jack's. Jack can't be the one in the well, but did he have something to do with the body in the well that lead to Jack being murdered? Glad to see Terry and Dan are continuing to get to know and trust each other. I think that is one of the reasons Dan is allowing a seance in the theatre. The visit to Brenda and Maurice's home was going well until Terry mentions Trevor. Brenda's reaction was very negative. She referred to Trevor as "a bad sort". In the 70's and 80's that term usually was applied to someone you could not trust because they were a liar, cheat, petty thief or slept around with any at hand. Trevor could have been one or more of those. Maurice's response was to imply that Trevor is dead. It seems that neither Maurice or Brenda wants to explain that statement. Maybe it is Trevor in the lake? Great writing and I still can't figure out who may be in the well. Cynthia's suggestion that it may be someone not known yet is a possibility.

    Chapter 23

The Cameron was delightfully described. It sounds awesome! I did love the birthday party with the smash cakes.
  22. That's great, because I have that also! Thanks Page! I should have read your post more closely, then I wouldn't have asked the question.😜
  23. OK! As I decided to check out the final missing chapter, I discovered I was sorely mistaken. I had always believed that the story was based on fact. I was surprised that it is totally fiction. I am glad that the final chapter has never been included in the original novel. From the brief summary, it doesn't fit the story. Thanks Bucket.
  24. I liked this trailer better than the first one you sent us last week. I Also went online to see a trailer of On Pointe. That looks like a really great documentary. Is it on Netflix?
  25. Hi Gary! Glad to here all is going well with you and the family.
