  1. Ahw come on Drew. We are only complimenting your mom's cooking. It did sound as if you were losing weight while she was gone considering your diet. I also suspect in your mom's absence there was no one to make you have just a little more, because you are too skinny. Right? 😄
  2. Dani is a very different kind of hero who is quiet, observant and very curious boy reaching out to become a teenager. Ravello is a beautiful and safe town to grow up, but a sudden series of crimes catches Dani's attention and he sets out to find out what is happening. His efforts gain him new friends, but also puts him in danger. This story is filled with the beautiful and sensual details of the Amalfi coast and its wonderful inhabitants. You will be captivated by Dani, his friends old and new as they navigate both life and new dangers. Dani the Hero is a stand alone novel written with care and love by the very talented James Carnarvon. It is part of the Ravello series that shares many of the wonderful characters and setting. As a mystery and adventure it is a different genre than the other stories. James is a very skilled writer who maintains your interest throughout the story. This particular book stands alone, but you will most likely want to read the prior books in the series once you have finished this story.

    Chapter 12

I have to admit that this story stands apart from the rest of the series. Not better or worse, but definitely different in theme and relationships. Ravello is still the sparkling jewel, but now a bit more dangerous. The chapter was well written and was totally compelling to the end. I look forward to the day when you decide to continue the series. I am sure I will also read other stories you write and enjoy them as well. Thanks for all the work you put into your stories. Again, best wishes for your children's story.

    Chapter 11

Dani's idea is terrible! He wants to convince Ettore that Giaco is not a snitch, but the fact that Dani, an unknown boy to Ettore, is there to talk with him is proof that Giaco is telling someone. Emilia is brave, but she too needs to use logic. Personally, I think that Marco may be part of this, but not sure what it is. He may work for Ettore, possibly a double agent working for Toto or something completely else. As for writing a children's story, I think you would do extremely well. Before I retired, I taught 10 to 14 year old students. I read and used so many great books during that time. A great book can propels students to read even more. It also can be a wonderful influence on the development of their ideals. My best wishes in your new endevour.

    Chapter 10

Wow! The speculations in the comments are very intriguing and would be excellent plot twists. Now I have to worry about Giaco's mom and her shop. Toto and Enzo working together was a surprising idea, as well as Assunta being behind the disruption. This is why I always read and enjoy the comments. The build up in tension was expertly done, and I give thanks that Dani arrived in time (also that there was no cliffhanger to interrupt my reading).
  6. I take that as a YES!

    Chapter 9

I was afraid that Dani's party would not be a happy one. I felt that the new assignment from Ettore would lead to Giaco getting in real trouble. I was glad that didn't happen. I am wondering about the two guys who stopped the attempt. Could it be some friends of Dani? It was a great birthday with fun and humorous jibs from all. Dani got some interesting presents, especially from Giaco. I thought Toto and Michele's comments about being replaced were ironic. They of course were talking about the older teens being replaced in Dani's life by his new friends. However, it also applies to Marco who feels like he has been replaced by Dani. There were not a lot of clues that indicate Marco as being Giaco's replacement, but there were some besides the clothes. Marco has followed them to Ettore's lair and probably knows more about what Giaco is doing that they may suspect.

    Chapter 8

Like other commenters, I a very worried for Marco and suspect that he is Giaco's replacement. He's got the skills and the need. What I don't understand is how the other three treat him. I don't excuse Dani, Emilia or Giaco for their actions. Marco was not included, but Emilia was included. They all know Marco's feelings and lack of resources. Giaco and Emilia have been friends for years. To me this is just cruel on their part. Dani and Giaco are getting in even deeper with this new "promotion" . I too think it may be a set up, but even if it isn't it still puts Giaco in the position of actively participating in a crime. It would ruin his life and probably destroy his mother. Toto and Michele may have a plan, but I hope it includes some of the older friends and family. These kids are too young to mess with the Neri family.

Enjoy the ride. I finished it in January after many weeks of reading. It's a long story, but I was totally engaged the entire time. Lost a few nights sleep when I couldn't stop reading it.

Are you back home, or still kicking around Thailand? Did you make it up north to Chiang Mai while you were here?
  11. Hi Drew! How are things for you now the parents are back? Did they have a good trip? Are you gaining weight now mom's cooking for you again?😋
  12. Hi All! Sawasdee Khrup 🙏
  13. I am going to go to sleep. Didn't get a real restful sleep last night and will try to make up for that tonight. Have a great day all!

    Knight of Wands

Terry has a very busy day off doing chores and gathering more information about the mystery of the Regal cinema. His conversation with his Aunt Cynthia was funny. With their frank discussions they seem more like friends than relatives. The date was an resounding success that provided insights into how much these two have in common and how they were different. It was no surprise that they ended up in the bedroom for the night.

I think they need to ice it down, so they won't break the bed.

Season's end and we all expected some hot sex, but I personally was not totally prepared for the explosion of raw sex. There were a few interludes for humour of course, but even these eluded to their sex life and were so perfect. The hot picture take for the teasers was very sensual and fun. I had to laugh at Loren's admission to Jay that Jay was right about the clothes. The best was the inclusion of messages made by your readers. It had me rolling on the floor laughing my guts out. It hurt. Brilliantly written chapter. I do like their planned vacation and expect the continuation of their summer plans for the bedroom, and other places.
  17. Hi Albert! How are you this morning?

    Chapter 7

Poor Marco. He has definitely had a hard life, and the only thing of value he has, Giaco's friendship seems to him to have been stolen from him by Dani. I know that Dani feels terrible and wants to help. His words to Giaco were an attempt to heal the split. I do hope he tries harder to get to know both Marco and Emilia. Their friendship could be important to him in the future. The bright spot of the day was Giaco's success in unknowingly helping Dani conquer his fear. Giaco's words were a balm on Dani's soul. I do share the concerns brought up by other comments. I also hope that Dani doesn't get overconfident and take dangerous risks. A very well written chapter full of tension, sadness and joy.

    Chapter 6

I am enjoying reading the various comments speculating about what and why Giaco is not telling Dani. However, knowing Giaco is a victim of Antonio I suspect that Antonio is doing the same thing to Giaco that he did to Michele. Antonio is threatening to tell everyone that Giaco is gay, true or not. Giaco is only 12, and has all the insecurities of boys that age. However, the bedroom scene when Dani and Giaco try on each other's clothes does raise some interesting questions. Marco is a spitfire, and I like that he wants to have his friend back. Dani should recognise Marco's feelings, and try find a way to reconcile the group of friends. I know it will be tough since Giaco is distancing himself from his friends to protect them from the criminals Giaco associates with. After all, isn't Dani a superhero dedicated to help all, including Marco? Great chapter.

    Chapter 5

Dani's first date with Giacomo went well. I think that they may become very good friends. Marco's jealously has grown and probably will become a problem. The change of clothes scene was both awkward and cute. Dani hasn't ever done something like that, so is feeling strange. I do hope Dani updates Toto and Michele soon. I don't like that he is keeping this particular secret. Both Dani and Giacomo are in a dangerous position.

    Chapter 4

I am glad that Dani has told Toto and Michele about Giacomo and his involvement with Antonio. Also, about the connection with the crimes and the police chief. I do wish he would try to find Toto and Michele again and tell them about what he has learned about the Neri family and threats to Salvatore. I doubt that Salvatore would tell Toto, since Salvatore is very protective of Toto and probably doesn't want to worry him. Salvatore is probably worried that the knowledge would also distract Toto from his studies. Marco seems to be jealous of Giacomo's attentions to Dani. It is probably the result of Marco crushing on Giacomo. They are all young, but that is common at their age. Dani is excited to have a friend now that is his own age. I worry that Dani may take unreasonable actions to protect Giacomo and face even greater danger.

    Chapter 3

I loved this passage. Describing Dani's morning was a pleasant prelude to the anxious afternoon encounter. Dani is now in dangerous territory. Whether or not the crime is a simple protection racket or something more evil, the combination of a officer of the law working with a criminal in a small town is not a safe situation for either Dani or Giacomo. Deadly accidents can happen as Dani is fully aware of. Dani shows his compassion helping the injured Giacomo. I am also upset that Antonio is a part of this. Those bruises can be the result of many different actions. Knowing Antonio's history and character, the bruises could also be the result of sadistic or sexual abuse. How did Giacomo get involved with these people? I do hope that Dani seeks help with this. A twelve almost 13 year old kid is not powerful enough to fight these people by himself. Great start to this story James. You immediately escalated it from a mystery to a monumental and dangerous adventure for Dani.
  23. Spoken like a true DID. Sorry, but sharing the same body does not count.
  24. Hi Page! I saw the chicken and waffle dish you made for Max and was drooling. Max sure knows how to pick good food! 😄
  25. Hi Gary, I hope you are doing well and the rest of your day was good. I had to look up the incident you mentioned. It was a mess. The joke was totally inappropriate, but that is no excuse for Smith's violence. The Oscar audience world wide is huge and includes many impressionable children. This was so wrong, so many ways.
