  1. Contradicting yourself is a bit mental. Hi Drew!
  2. I just finished this awesome group of stories. The anthology is off to a great start, with hints that many (hopefully all) of the stories will be the first chapters in new books. Thanks to all the authors for the great reading you gave us. Like @astone2292, I am impatiently waiting for the next group. Thanks to Val, the authors and all who contributed to this year's anthology!
  3. This story is a delightful, mischievous frolic in Sin City. The unique and demonic characters are fun and full of razor-sharp humour. You'll learn why Las Vegas is less than angelic. I was compelled to read this three times before risking a comment. This is a naughty nighttime read. You should definitely read this tale.
  4. You're only half right about Oregon with the earth-cruchies. That part of Oregon would deter Angels, but the other half is Bible-beating sheep. Now go back to tending the bar in the Korner. You are too much like Sydemus to work the bar in Caesar's Place. Does "I carry jokes and quips as if they were knives," sound familiar?
  5. Peliel is a fascinating name choice for a Nephilim. The biblical meaning is "Face of God"? Nice simile. Wicked humor! I immediately thought of someone we both know. I see the word grace many times, usually not with the same meaning. It almost felt like you set up a minefield of puns. Got some great laughs from this. ⬆️. My guess is that Peliel and Vaathu spent some time in the area of Kentucky or Tennessee based on the biscuit and gravy reference. There was more than one "leap of faith" moment in this story. I did wonder that now that Peliel has finally met his destiny if his unwanted protector will stop protecting him. I loved the playful and amusing way you mischievously turned demons into soft and cuddly begins. Great entry @astone2292!
  6. This is a short sweet story that left me wishing for someone to cuddle with. Trust and love go both ways. Read it on a work break or just before going to sleep. It's a very soothing tale.

  7. Nice warm story. Now I need to find a nice cuddle bunny to snuggle up to.
  8. A great beginning to an adventure in space. True to the anthology's theme, there is a leap...followed by a cliffhanger. Myr is such a tease! I did have fun reading this tale. It is a quick fun read that I can heartily recommend.

    Chapter 1

Excellent story that left my spine tingling. Great timing for setting the mood for the upcoming holiday. I appreciate the careful diversion that quickly twisted to the unexpected, horrifying end.
  12. Awesome chapter, spicy hot and ends with a ring on Matty's finger. I'm glad you are not ending here because I want more!
  13. Now you are definitely channelling Drew! I'd watch out for Lucas if I were you Spike.
  14. Read the rules! It's my job!
  15. Like Val, I need to read these. I do love anthologies and the wealth of reading they provide. Most are by authors I love and must read. Two are new authors to me and I am excited to read those stories also!
  16. @clochette, @Bucket1, @Headstall, @dughlas, @CassieQ! Since you are not lurking around like Page, I'm sending a mass message here. Hope you all have a great day!
  17. Hey Spike! I see that Drew is rubbing off on you. No, No! Not like that! *insert Albert's line* Like Drew you are taking a trip down the famous Egyptian river.
  18. Hey Page! I see you lurking there. How's the family?
  19. Hi Nick! Drew does give us so many opportunities for that.
  20. Hi Drew! I see you are well enough to be your normal self. ( Bossy Prat/Git!)
  21. Hi Albert! Hope you and Steve are doing well. Going out tonight and I will give a toast to both of you!

    Chapter 1

You've had a busy year, and you didn't even include a mention of your other duties and tales this year. This short tale definitely was a beautiful different side of your writing, and I loved it!
  23. Gilbert Stanley Underwood was the architect of Timberline Lodge. It was a blend of Chalet and Craftsman styles although missing the overhanging eaves. This is one of my favourite places in the world. I grew up near Mt Hood and it was always in view everywhere I lived until I moved to Thailand. further downhill from the lodge is Government Camp. Most homes there are traditional chalets like this. Must admit that not all are top-end like this one.
