Wow! This was a twist I didn't expect, at least not before about chapter 22 or so. At least Emma is another sibling who cared about Silas. I will be interested to see if Stacey and Emma end up developing a phone friendship which could lead to more info being shared relative to Silas--from both sides. Surely by now Silas has heard the dedication of the song, and knows it is about him. And has Adam heard the song as well? Tara? Ian? Cynus, this is probably a coincidence, but the names "Silas" and "Cynus" somewhat sound a bit similar. That was not deliberate, was it? Every Tuesday night and Friday night late I look forward to reading the next installment. Thanks for this great story!

Fascinating chapter, Cynus. My opinion of some of the characters is changing slightly, in a better way. Chelsea has a ways to go, since she is trying to reason against a lifetime of indoctrination. It can be done, but not without some mental struggle, in most cases. The words of the song "The Navigator" are very interesting. My initial thought is that it would take a variation on the main tune on one of two of the verses for best effect. I am not but a very amateur musician, or I would try it myself. Some of the strands are weaving together now. Starting especially with chapter 6, the plot is more and more connected. Looking forward to the rest of the story.

Wow, Cynus. I thought the previous 3 chapters were super great, then I read this one. Another great one. I look forward to seeing who hears the song first-- Silas, Ian, Jenny, Amy, or Chelsea or Tara-- or Adam. I notice that this is the shortest chapter up to now-- 2120 words. Not a problem; it had everything in it that was necessary. With the way this story had been so stirring and exciting up to now, how are you going to possibly keep even half this pace up? NO, don't tell me-- I will happily wait and read.

Wow, Cynus, another great chpater! I have been reading regularly, and was finally compelled to comment on how good this is. I like the character of Adelaide. I have known a variety of dogs in my lifetime, some some of them were as smart as Adelaide. Others didn't come close. There is a wide variety of difference in dog intelligence, and Adelaide has to be near the top. Your story line is all too believable. Too many people are too willing to not learn about the truth, that being gay is not a sickness. Neither is being bi, though some from both sides seem to say to bi people."Why can't you make up your mind?" I look forward to seeing Demons of the Crossroads again. Do you have a rough idea when they might come back into the story line? Plus, more of Adam would be good, even though there is an age difference that could get Adam in trouble. While the Age of Consent is 16 in Colorado, I don't know if that applies when there is more than four years difference in the two people having sex. Will the next chapter be up Saturday?

Interesting chapter, Cynus. This is an interesting take on things, and I look forward to seeing where it goes. I am guessing that Alan plays an important part or three later on, and am curious if the messenger angel, Gabriel, will eventually show up? It is early to ask this, possibly, but do you have an inkling of how many chapters might there eventually be? Or is that still fluid? Obviously Damien is bisexual to some extent. I like that. So am I. Why is Damien's father so in the dark and Damien more enlightened? Did Damien's father procreate with an angel or was he adopted? Looking forward to the answers....

Timothy, great story in this chapter as well! I noticed you gave Rob's dad the name "Will" in this chapter. Cool. May he continue to help Rob and company out in subtle ways. I notice you said in one response "mall chapters" ─ I look forward to them. The possibilities are endless on how many characters, new or previous, could show up!

Okay, Cynus, every time I thought I had things figured out, you threw a new angle into things. This was a good example of how well-meaning friends with a lack of information completeness can make a situation worse. I like Coach Gary Whitmore! He seems like a common sense, practical person. I like the balance he is trying to bring to Logans live and the personal life of the team members. But aren't there more team members than have been mentioned by name? That would be an amazingly small team, considering that Columbia High School has such a veriety of students. Speaking of high school students, is there a change that Jamie Kirkwood's near-twin half brother, Sean Kelly, might make an appearance? Keep up the good work, Cynus.

Cynus, great story, as was"Dreamcatcher", the related story on Gay Authors by Dabeagle. PLEASE, write and publish the story of what happens when Grayson goes back to school on Monday.

Aha! I knew there were at least three people involved! Hopefully what Gabe said will get Ryle thinking, and he will discuss it with the Captain. I did expect to see David, but not for a chapter or two-- good of you to keep us in the air like that. Keep up the good work, and please post the next chapter quickly.

Wow, Cynus, good work. I have to admit, I hadn't thought of the uterine solution.

It is obvious Ryle had to act quickly when he came on the scene where the men were raping, torturing, abusing, and who knows what else might have been going on behind the scenes. He did not have time to draw out their deaths, even though they greatly deserved it. Are the Captain and Ryle and Captain Jer sure there were only two people involved, or only two persons on the immediate scene? Hopefully, Stationmaster Deacon's investigation will reveal more. Good writing, though obviously painful. How will Meg figure in the recovery process for Gabe? Could one of the fighter pilots for the Starcutter have noticed anything that might have been helpful later on?

The second time I read this I chuckled through most of the last half. I am aware of a situation in Texas where a guy and gal, but much older than these characters, have been fake boyfriend/fake girlfriend to each other for probably at least 13 years. It really happens. They were being pressured to be "straight" by so many people they they decided to go out on regular "dates" to keep the people who wrongly believe only straight people exist off their backs.... I like these characters. Any chance of them going for 8 or 10 stories, Cynus?

Great work! Ryle can walk even more confidently now, and I predict that shopguy will have a drastic decline in business--very well deserved, too. It would certainly be a great thing if Gabriel and David could get together for old time's sake, and perhaps The Captain and David might have some profitible business together in the future. Who knows-- Maybe David happens to be related to Meg?

Timothy, the last several chapters have been excellent, and the earlier chapters really good. I am very glad you have been using the "prompt" format in this story; it's working well for you. Referring to the discussinon in the reviews of the previous chapter, what about those of us who are on "Team Bi Rob?" As a bi guy whose orientation has been shifting more toward the bi/gay side as I get older (from a nearly all hetero orientation my first 40+ years), Rob might want to have some curiosity about a gay side of himself. Thank you for the warning that next chapters might be slower in arriving than this one. I will be happy to read what follows whenever you release the chapters.

Great story and each chapter has been very good. I look forward to many more chapters as more is revealed. I hope we will learn more about David, Gabriel's stepfather. While Gabe's mother was dying, did Gabe step in and do more than is normal for someone his age (at that point in his life) with regard to David's company? You somewhat hint at that near the end of Chapter 3. Have David and the Captain ever met in person? Or talked on video calls? Or had indirect business dealings with each other? Third, I started reading this story because of your story, "The Bard and the Prince." (I look forward to much more in that story, as well.) Since you like the stories of Craftingmom, I must somehow find time to look at those stories, as well. Fourth, I request permission to quote from your stories from time to time. How would you like the quotes credited? "~ From a story by Fantasyboy69" or "From the story 'Starcutter'" or "From a story by John Simth (or name of your choice)"? I prefer to quote by permission, and prefer to give credit if I can track down the source. Thank you for your consideration, and I ask you to continue the great stories.
