  1. Josh at least seems to have more of a conscience than the new buddies he's forming--he seems genuinely concerned he's sold Nathan out. Of course, all the high school jocks are gonna pick on Nathan, but almost sounds like there's a couple of 'em that have a "history" with him. Regardless, nicely done chapter--and can't wait till the next one!

    Chapter 3

Meeting with mom went far better than I'd anticipated...or has it? I'm questioning how much of what she said/did were merely superb social skills coming in to play and maybe there are issues ahead from her. The same thing is true of how she's proposing dealing with his brother. Was that truly done to protect brother? Or just a method of holding Eddie an emotional "hostage" to be redeemed later? We'll see. Regardless, fun well-told tale so far, and definitely ready for the next chapter!
  3. Candy is setting herself up for disaster--both with her fiancee and her parents. I'm suspecting just the hint of notice to either of them or the threat of a court battle and its publicity may be enough to get her to settle down. Gonna be interesting to see where you take this part of the story. As for Lenny, he's coming across as a blowhard "good ole boy" who let his mouth/heart/dick outrun his brain. Suspect he's gonna prove to be a great friend in the long run; maybe even helping to deal with the Candy situation. Another fine chapter!

    Chapter 20

A fun, feel-good chapter! Love the way you tied the loose ends up! Another finely written piece. Hate to see the epilogue, only because it means the story ends. Good job!

Welcome!

    Busted Pipe

Fun, nothing like hot sex on a cold day! And what's with all the younger guys? He's got some changes underway? Or is it just a case of permanent horniness, no good opportunity passed? Another finely done piece, buddy!
  8. Glad you're here, Michael....get ready for some great stories and good people. Enjoy!
  9. Glad you're here, Abdulla, you already know the quality of writing here--and now that you're "official", you'll have a chance to meet a whole herd of great folks in both the forums and chat. Welcome!

    Chapter 27

Nicely done wrap up--and as a sucker for a happy ending, you hit all the right notes for me. I'm assuming the band went on to greater success, and, after a speedy trial, the pastor is looked away for good. A sequel/follow tale should prove interesting. Youve done a fine job of storytelling here--congratulations!
  11. Damn fine writing! Intense, engaging, happily combining revenge, love, affection, and mystical all in a single, small chapter. You've done well here!
  12. GREAT hot writing, and young love is so sweet/intense. You got all the emotions just right. BTW, you owe me a new keyboard.... <embarassed grin>
  13. Just discovered this fun story...loving it. And loving Nathan--quirky, relaxed, seemingly comfortable enough in his own skin, despite the opening chapter. Josh's mom sounds typical, Nathan's dad sounds, well, almost military. And the hints about the "incident" at the previous school--are they foreshading plot developments? Looking forward to where you take this tale!

    Sauna Summer

Finely crafted, with words selected for both expressiveness and economy. A fun and well done story--almost cries for a sequel. Good job!

    Chapter 15

Nicely done, with lots of potential plot twists nicely bundled. Why are things always so complex at weddings? Galen and Josh together...yup, I can see it happening, but think MikeyMike is right--someone in this crew is gonna get hurt...badly. Must admit, I'm loving Jody. He's so comfortable in his own skin--what a great friend! A fine job of storytelling--and I'm looking forward to the next chapter!
  16. Glad you're "officially" here, Jeroche! You already know what great reads you find here--and now you'll be able to discover the great people here, too! Chat/forums are great places to hang out and get to know folks. "Officially", Welcome!

    Chapter 26

DAMN CLIFFHANGERS! <grumble, grumble> Really enjoyed the depth of character you showed in Silas. Maturity far beyond his years--and his level of concern for Adam and his friends is heartwarming. And great that he can adequately express his friendship for Adam without getting mushy or sexual. Good job! But ... DAMN CLIFFHANGERS! <grumble, grumble>
  18. Nicely done chapter, full of (mostly) issue resolutions--at least temporarily. CJ, as usual, did well. Am really looking forward to the police chief's discussion with him, and the resulting potential suspension of his arresting officers; certain they're gonna pop back up at some point. Masterfully done, buddy!

    Human Touch

Truly, as (I think Doc said), "a shitty day". Superbly done, emotionally wide-ranging and devastating, you've already forshadowed ripples spreading to the group. And you've told this portion of the story with just enough detail to drag our happy assess into the emotions without the burden of overdescription taking our focus away from the characters. Tough chapter, and realistically/solidly done--as usual. Now--hopefully--to happier days ahead!

    Chapter 11

You captured the intensity of the dinner beautifully--and left us with a damn cliffhanger! Evil, merely brilliantly evil! Now, where's that next chapter?!?!?

    Brake Job

Been out of pocket, and just now catching up on this series...fun! Really enjoying 'em...and your use of the double entendres on this last chapter was surperb! Had me laughing! More, more!

    Chapter 19

Hate to see the story end with the next chapter--and yet, can't wait to see how you deal with all the things going on here! I'm especially interested to see Opie's meeting with Dad. Definitely potential fireworks there! It's been a great ride with the story so far, and who knows--you may revisit Jonas in the future in another story. In the meantime, bring on that next chapter! <grin>
  23. So very glad you decided to "officially" join the group here! You already know the great stories that are here--and joining with let you learn what great people are here, too! Join in the chat/forum groups, leave comments on the stories you read--your voice matters! And, in terms of writing, the resouces here of editorial skills, and helpful people aren't going to be beaten. Think of your writing as a song--it's YOUR song to sing, and writing is the instrument that lets you sing. Welcome--and glad you're here!

    Chapter 25

Damn fine chapter! Nice to see the pastor get his--but still gonna be a lot of resolution ahead; the pastor's family, Silas' family, the deputy's role in all of this, the band's arrival. You've got your hands full with plot angles, but certain you'll continue to do the continued fine job you have. Looking forward to more!
  25. Been away, and had to play catch up on the story. Nicely done so far! It's been interesting to watch the characters develop. Hunter was ... interesting. So uncertain about himself, dodging labels, and yet as gay as any other gay guy. Everett is such a mix of emotions--as you'd expect--and yet at times ranges from strong and secure to a mass of desperation; he can be so needy/possessive/jealous it's almost like a stalker. Andrew's dad is a work in progress--suspect there's far more going on there than just the brief insight we've had regarding his life. Perhaps there's a romantic interest he's got that's still undisclosed? And the new roommate; well, think he's gonna end up being both a challenge and a threat. Good job! More, more!
