So much information/detail here! You've really thought this through, and I'm sure upcoming chapters will use all this information to tell the story. And I'm a sucker for plot continuity! Good job!

Chapter 1 Walking on Sunshine
Robert Rex commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 1 Walking on Sunshine
Fun, fun, fun! Never know when you'll find love--gotta keep the options open! This is gonna be a hillarious story--I can tell! Good job--now get that next chapter out, buddy! -
Prompt 376 But I never said that!
Robert Rex commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Prompt 376 But I never said that!
Really loving the way you keep the stories going, and the prompts just naturally feel "right" as a part of the story--like you'd planned the story first and the prompts arrive just in time! Love the way this is going--fun characters, interesting and natural dialogue. You've done well! -
Thanks for the kind words, Gary!Think you're right--Dave doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who's going to let things stand in his way--any more than Barry does. Both are remarkably stong, secure me. The sex was hot--and interesting. Was it sex for the ending of the hiding phase in Florida? For the start of a new life...together? NOLA is gonna be interesting...and there are definitely some surprises ahead! Thanks for the comments, buddy!

Cole, think you're right--Barry DOES seem ready for the next step. I can't help but think that a lot of it has to do with after having been "sitting around" for the last 3 months, he's finally got a purpose--and goals--in his personal life. You're right, too, on the challenges of running a bar. Most of us only see the friendly bartender, not realizing the hours before and after that a bar consumes with it's operations, cleaning, balancing, restocking. Dave certainly DID step up to the next level--in a big way. That wasn't lost of Barry; there's almost a sense of wonder while it's all going on. I'm hoping the Big Easy really will be for the guys! Thanks for the comments and following along!

The bar, and NOLA are going to be a real esperience for Barry! And Rex may end up being more than just his Realtor..... the next chapter will give some hints. Thanks for the comments!

Great chapter! And absolutely adorable that he blushes! You've created some loveable characters--gonna be fun to see where this story goes! You've done well !

Glad you're enjoying the story, Molly! Yeah, they DO make a great little family, and it was tough to have Barry say "goodbye" to Jonathan and Greg. They've been family, and hopefully, they'll turn up again.Glad ya found the sex scene hot--wanted it both hot and loving. As I mentioned to LitLover (see below), money is an issue for lots of couples. Certain they'll work past it--they're facing it head-on--but it can still cause issues nonetheless. Both of 'em are mature guys, so I feel good about that. Thanks for the comments--and for following along!

Yup, Robert Rex IS a brilliant and astute Realtor...but understand he's focused more on attempts to write these days than selling. It's been interesting to watch the relationship build between Barry and Dave. Dave has been patient, waiting on Barry to get his, uh....head together. Now that it has, it may be even more interesting. The moeny issue is a gorilla for lots of couples, and can be magnified when there's a big disparity between the two. Nothing says that fiction can't deal with some realistic issues, right? And you may be right about Greg and Jonathan. I really liked those guys, and wouldn't be surprised if they pop up again. Thanks for the comments!

Glad ya liked the chapter, Carlos! And yeah, Joe and Rex are interesting enough characters, I couldn't leave 'em behind! Think you'll love their interactions...you know how Rex has his "spidey sense"....Thanks for the comments!

“Ok, we're ready. Call him, set up a meeting, let's get this done.” We'd been up for several hours, now by the pool, made notes on the notepad of items to review/negotiate with Sid. Dave had added a few things, both in terms of negotiation items as well as questions about his move. We'd agreed that I had far more negotiating experience, and since the Bureau wanted me, had more bargaining power. Dave makes the call, sets up a noon meeting. Sid arrives promptly. Dave's picked up sandwiches and w

Fun, fun, fun! Considering how Gavin was hurt by the married jerk, it's great he was able to handle Tate's revelation--and recognizes they're "soul mates". Gavin already understood everything going on, at least subconsciously, and he's now got a label for it all. (Yeah, he got a label! LOL!) Great job of balancing the intensity of the reveal with humor and natural sounding dialogue! You did well!

Lots of fun stuff here: the good Doc wields a lot of influence and will be a great ally; they've apparently been able to keep some of the telepathic skills that they've developed a secret; and the major plot twist of Kim's father. You crammed a lot of good stuff in this chapter, and did well with it!

Damn tough chapter already! You've done a fine start to the story--looking forward to seeing where you take us with it!

Glad you're liking the characters, RJ! They're fun to watch--definately a chemistry there, and they play well off of each other.New Orleans is gonna be an experience for 'em--get ready! Thanks for the comments, and following the story!

Chapter 16 House of Cards
Robert Rex commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 16 House of Cards
Damn, damn, damn! What a moving chapter! You hit all the emotions on the head--the dread of confrontation, sorrow at potential loss, the doubt, the confirmation of his partner's love, the surprise at his father's and mother's 180 degree change (or almost 180). It all rings true, it flows well--and makes us want the next chapter! Some of your best writing, and among the best here on GA! You did well! -
Loved CJ delivering the ass-kicking! And, the redhead offers definate possibilities--think it'd be an interesting triangle if he's the BF of the kid CJ stood up for. Still loving the depth of the characters, and the easy interaction they all share. Dialogue flows just as naturally as it does among real life friends. And I'm loving the fact that no one in the group serves an attitude by their (apparently) well-fixed financial position---they treat their finances as a natural adjunct of day to day life. Good job on this story--gonna be interesting to see where you take it!

Interesting, fun story! Wide range of characters--and I'm curious to see where you take the plot! Good job!

I'm left wondering how much of Kyle's interaction is caused because he's "compelled" to do it--or is it that they're able to manipulate his natural curiosity plus an emotional push to get him to follow their instincts. (Are they instincts? Or are they now scientient? (sp) Regardless, it's a great story, and I'm enjoying where you've taken us so far. Really want Jim in on all this quickly--his expertise may save Kyle's job on the planet, and may give options for Kyle to more fully develop his crush on Jim. Next! <grin>

Nicely done chapter...the love continues to grow....but it's cruel to tease us with that picture at the end! Bring on the next chapter! (grin)

Gary, I'm constantly amazed at both Dave's quiet strength to stick with a situation, and his instinctive responses to dealing with their status/circumstances.Their teamwork is truly amazing--they really do play well off of each other. I was also pleased that Barry's natural approach of "let's charge in and get this done" has resurfaced, and he's not mired in emotional "mud". Thanks for the kind words--and the review!
-
Well, so far, so good! There's been remarkable resiliency in their relationship so far--dealing with the external stresses and Barry's on internal issues has no doubt made both men stronger! But, NOLA is gonna offer it's own tests.... Thanks for the comments and for following, buddy!

Think, despite the questions about the A.D.'s motives, the move to New Orleans is gonna be a good one for our heroes--if nothing else, it's gonna give Barry some "roots" that he's been missing! And yeah, it's endearing how "Bulldog" combines both intimacy and admiraration in one nickname! Gonna be an interesting next few chapters! Thanks for the review!
