    Back in the '80's til early 2000's there was a law firm here which operated as you descrihe. They had a plane and a condo in the Cayman Islands and would load stacks of cash in boxes to ship down there. Our little town was an important hub of a major drug pipeline. The partners had chutzpah. Their S Class Mercedes all boldly sported a front plate saying THE FIRM after the Grisham book. They got away with it too.

    Julian is incrementally reducing Ben's stress by managing the household. It's fully within his configuration. Rachel was trying to lawyer her position with Julian, implying because it's always been this way you can't come in and change it. This entire family dynamic will require Julian building Ben a spine so he can say no without feeling guilty.
