Christopher is feeling the draw of the small village where he lives. It's part of him and he can't explain it. He begins having brief flashbacks of sounds, smells, and sights he has never experienced himself. Fascinated by the past, he teaches history at the local school. He is one of those rare ones who can rise beyond the pedantic rote of dry dates and facts and interest his students in a living past. He feels a peculiar familiarity with a stranger. Adrian makes cryptic, but spot on comments about Christopher. We are traveling along with Christopher as he has his enigmatic journey. How does Adrian know so much while Christopher retain so little of his past life?
