We are left wondering what illegal enterprise Princess Amelia has in mind. For now it's good she's not the law. They are fleeing into an uncertain future.

    At least Jared has been somewhat honest. Not admitting he had been with the raiders may come back to bite him in the ass. They've already noticed each other and temptation is rising.

    Daniel's innate stubborness is working against him this time by trying to cling to this new version of reality. What a mess!

    Edward and Jonas are starting a rhythm now they have a goal beyond day to day survival. With support from Jonas, Edward ie controlling his addiction and making money for now.

    Successful merchants probably don't gamble. Their gambling lies in commerce and it satisfies the desire for risk more than enough.

    They also still have an empty bunkhouse. There's always the chance the pair they helped on the road might show up. Even with four helping, there will be a pile of work to do.

    They will be nearly self sufficient right off. So far they only need some staples like the flour, some bacon, and spices. They'll need some oats for the horses, but little else. As I am seeing it now, this will be a paying concern within the first year.
