Chapter 1 - It's All In The Family
Cynus commented on Cynus's story chapter in Chapter 1 - It's All In The Family
Oh, I hope you'll enjoy the ride. Zane has a unique approach to the world, and coupled with Clint's also unique perspective, there will be some adventures, for sure. Thank you for the review! -

I almost continued "Fearless" without switching perspectives to Zane, but I needed to get inside his head. Zane is . . . well, to put it simply, he's based off an old friend who was very important to me, someone I wasn't able to help as well as I'd have liked to. Putting him with Clint is rather therapeutic for me. Thank you for the review! -

There's a reason for everything that Zane does, which I think is a nice contrast to our other impulsive hero, Clint. We'll see a lot more as the story progresses, and hopefully you'll enjoy him more as we get to see what lies beneath the surface. Thank you for the review! -

Internal conflict will be a huge deal in this story, though currently the focus is, of course, on setting the stage. I won't betray how much that conflict will deal with Zane and Clint, but there's certainly going to be many factors to consider. I do love the contrast between Donny and Zane, and also find it funny how protective Mr. Fjeldsted initially is with Clint's more recent love interest, but I also thought it reasonable. After all, considering what Donny tried to do... I'm not going to reveal the reason behind the distance between father and son in the Thompson home through reviews, for obvious spoiler related reasons. I also want to develop that tension naturally over the course of the story, keeping it somewhat of a mystery until we reach the point of the big reveal. Chapters 10-11 will be very important to that plot point. Thank you for the review! -

It's something in the water . . . Kidding, but I'm glad you're invested in knowing. Zane is modeled off someone I once knew, an old friend who always seemed to bear the weight of the world on his shoulders. We'll find out why that is eventually. Thank you for the review! -

I have at last remedied the problem. It seems I created two separate series titles because of a slight variation between the two. The two stories are properly linked now. We're going to get some answers within the next few chapters, but first we have to set the stage. We're just getting started. Thank you for the review! -

Yay! Yep, after the Donny incident, Mr. Fjeldsted wouldn't have it any other way. He had to meet Zane first, and what's not to love? Thank you for the review! -

Zane's family situation will be most of the driving force behind this story. I'll be endeavoring to show why things are this way, and why Zane feels so burdened by his family. Hopefully it'll be a good story on top of that. Thank you for the review! -
I absolutely love it when people tell me they love my characterizations. They're the most important part of every story to me. I adore my characters. Thank you for the review!

Hope it stayed that way through the end for you. Glad to see you here, buddy.

Thanks, Carl. This was a fun story to write from beginning to end, and I was curious how people would react to the failed "coming out" portions of the story. I'm glad the humor wasn't wasted. Thank you for reading and reviewing. Hope you'll get a chance to check out "weightless" soon.

Hopefully you've had a chance to delve into "Weightless" already and found the sequel adequate. I'm glad you enjoyed the ending. I didn't want this story to be about a romantic relaitonship, I wanted it to be about friendship and standing up for things you believe in. I hope I communicated that well. Thanks for reading and thank you for the review!

The house was smaller than I'd imagined it would be. It hardly seemed capable of containing the strong spirit I'd witnessed in Clinton Fjeldsted. A boy as fearless as him should live in a mansion if he expected a home to be adequate to house his awesomeness. But, then again, I suppose there was a humility to him which I had to also consider. He defended his friends without prejudice, and he was always putting himself between them and danger; he didn't feel his life was any more importan

Zane Thompson is a smart kid with a lot of potential, but has more projects than he can handle. Now that he's also found a potential boyfriend, Clint Fjeldsted, he has even more on his plate. Between his family, school, and maintaining friendships, how will he ever make time for his new love interest?
-
Well, you could always read my stuff . . . Kidding around, of course, but I'm glad I was able to at least give you an answer. Hope you find him in the future.

I would assume that Mickey Mouse is the most famous, simply because both the older and younger generation is likely familiar with him. He's been around the longest (I believe). However, I imagine if this poll were to be taken again another decade or two from now, Pikachu will win in a landslide.

I am so happy I read this today. This is my favorite part so far, and I am ecstatic to find out more about Tallen and Frost's past. I'm hoping Zane becomes a little more prominent, too, just because the first boy I ever truly loved had that name. (At least, in this current incarnation . . . ) I'm actually using that same name for the protagonist of the story I'm currently working on. I love little coincidences like that. I can't wait to find out how Tallen and Frost became like they are now, and what made them that way as children. I'm assuming we're going to watch them grow up, and that's my favorite kind of story. Looking forward to more!

According to a site-wide search... https://www.gayauthors.org/forums/index.php?s=bdb1e3bdd7e696667cd1091bc70ad4b6&app=googlecse#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=merlin milo julian I imagine the story you're looking for is "Missing" by RobsWriting. I'm afraid he's classified as a "former member". As to why, I don't know, but that would explain why you can't find the story.

He'll have plenty of room for future development as well, as you'll definitely see him explored in the sequels. I'll also point out that I intended "Fearless" to be an open world, where others can participate and write about the characters as they see fit, as long as they bounce their ideas off me first. -

Great answer on the characters. That's what i endeavor to do with all of my characters, though I don't know how often I'm successful. I have a number of different stories planned, though I don't know how many of them will make it to paper. I want to do one for Zane, Sheila, Travis, and possibly some others. Right now, one of those three will happen next, and I think you'll all be pretty pleased about it. I still have some teenage angst, to be honest, but I try to avoid writing stories that are nothing but. Thank you for participating, tim! -
Spoilers: Just a warning for those who decided to look at this topic despite the title who haven't yet read "Fearless". There will be spoilers here, so please read the story first if you want to participate! Now that's out of the way, I created this topic simply for those who might want to talk about it. No one has to, of course, but I thought it would be in my best interest to make the topic available. Some possible discussion points: Who was your favorite character? Who was your least favorite character? What did you like about the story? What didn't you like about the story? Who do you hope the sequel will be about?

I have one of those pairs already in the process of being explored. Won't tell you which one directly, but I've dropped enough hints elsewhere to probably give you an idea if you choose to go looking. Glad you enjoyed the story! It's certainly not a typical high school tale. Thank you for reading and reviewing, tim!

Zane appreciates your support, Parker. There's a sequel I'm in the midst of writing, probably another twelve or so chapters, which will begin posting next week. I usually wait until a story is completed before I begin posting, but I know people are eager to find out what happens with Clint next . . . I'm glad you enjoyed the ending. It was planned to be short from the very beginning, and it felt right when I reached the ending. Hope it did for you, too. Thank you for reading and reviewing!

Thank you, Emi, for your great review! I'm so happy you enjoyed this story and hope you'll stick around for the sequel! Clint really was fun, wasn't he?
