  1. The tragedy of Hal’s shortened life strikes home in this tale. One wishes for hope, for healing, but these things ultimately elude Hal as he dies on the beach he loves.
  2. Thank you, my friend, for helping me turn these into readable sonnets. I struggled much more with Ignorance than with Temptation. Perhaps that still shows - that, or how easily I can be tempted. I’m very, very grateful for your help with these.
  3. I’m okay; and very sorry to have caused you any worry. I’ve been reflecting on what’s past, and on difficulties grappled with - and on dear friends like you who held out hands in support. Thank you - xxoo
  4. Temptation Sad poison did I take, though it looked sweet, a serpent’s rod the eye and heart beguiled; and fool enough was I to heed the cheat for when I bit the apple, oh, it smiled. Its evil on my soul and body worked dispersing through each organ, bone and limb, so absence of its flavor ever irked, yet no amount would fill me to the brim. And though its rancid taste appalls the tongue, no toxic pleasure soothing to my

    Bogeyman

I feel so much for Jeremy. At the same time, I’m glad he told Mason, who seems to have made a decision Jeremy didn’t expect. Jeremy hints at the isolation he’s experienced, which clearly hurts in your telling. He’s not alone.
  6. Well, I’m still in the dark. I shall have to think more on it...

    Summer Plans

Great chapter; I live to see Chipper planning to help out Aslan in New York. That’s how he makes friends for life. And then to see Bryce and Zion again, that’s an additional treat! Thank you.

    Refuge

The interplay with Jeremy and Mason is fascinating. You let us observe their mutual attraction, and the rising tension between them. Clearly there is more to be learned about Jeremy, and I hope he doesn’t break Mason’s heart. In the meantime, Clay and Greg are making one another’s hearts glad indeed.
  9. Simon ought to have unburdened himself to his mum and Niki. Silence was not golden, I fear. This was a good chapter, but it fills me with foreboding.

    Miracle

Thank you for the privilege of traveling your way with you. I feel cold wind and rain without shelter as we wait, and sense the path shifting beneath my feet as we walk. And I also sense your hope with you, especially in recalling the pink pony. Thanks again.

    A New Day

I delighted in Keyer’s return, and in his release of the souls trapped in the walks. I delighted still more in his reunion with Stravor, and in Stravor’s constant belief in their lives together. You crafted a marvelous final chapter!
  12. Wonderful chapter. My only regret is that we didn’t get to know Aslan well enough before he exited the stage.Chipper’s song selection was gutsy, given its iconic nature.

    Pride

This a difficult chapter. How can people who say they love their children do the kinds of things you describe? Yet we know it happens, and far too often. It’s enough to make me weep.

    Epilogue

I loved this Silverwolf tale, and am very glad this isn’t the last one. I’ll be waiting when the next one comes along. Thank you for this one.
  15. So the Squad in the form of Ethan came to the rescue for Christina. And that moves easily into quality legal representation for Chipper. Good thinking. You contrast that forethought with his liaison with Bliss - which seemed to need no thought at all - very well.
  16. Thank you for your comment on Facing Morning. That’s the best face anyone put on those lines. As for Dirty Laundry, it’s indeed a state of being. I’m glad Im not the only one who can be tracked by the trail of odd socks left behind. I’m very grateful for your comments, and especially that you read these.
  17. This chapter is immense, a marvel. It was such a wonder to read first thing this morning, and then again during a break at work. I know I will read it again later today. You have wrought as great a triumph as Stravor and Keter, as Dayson and Stravor the Elder have themselves. Thank you.
  18. Not sure if this treasure from the garden counts...
  19. I'm very, very grateful you chose to read this. I'm also sorry I missed seeing your comment. It was indeed an odd prompt, but tackling it really forced me to be creative. I've been in a writing rut lately, so perhaps it helped some. That you want to make better acquaintance with these characters brings a smile to my face. Thanks for reading, and for your patience.

    From Within

Wow! Incredible! What a dramatic storm and battle! Stravor is sent to battle the god he has served with a Searcher’s sword - will his soul go willingly to war with Hemothracene? Will it ever find Keter’s? Or return as his father hopes? So many unanswered questions. I’m going to be eagerly watching for the next chapter!
  21. You do a great job interweaving stories we know with this new chapter. It’s a wonderful technicolor movie of Chipper’s fast paced life.

    Peace

Wow. I made the mistake of reading this right before bed. Not sure how I’ll sleep, given the excitement of this chapter. Well done!
  23. Simon was right to run. The hysterical father ranting homophobic nonsense could not begin to have some semblance of reasoned discussion. The father wants everyone to experience his own understanding of what God might be his way. That’s just bullying and foolishness. More troubling is what the father might do to pry Simon out of his mother’s care.
  24. Thanks so much for reading these; still more for your response. You’re probably right that a second opinion can stop the reverberations in my internal echo chamber.
  25. Thanks for reading these. Michaelmas Daisies made me think of you, particularly. You’re right about the mirror, I know it. Some mornings it’s just harder to believe; I know many of us go through that, too. I will be okay. xo P
