No, Greg wasn’t hiding it much. But outing someone else in a fit of pique is not cool at all. Andy and Zander have something that not everyone gets - a deep and abiding love. They are lucky they have one another. Thank you again for reading this entry in Andy’s journal, and for your comments.

I liked this feature, Dodger. You speak so easily about some of the things that are quite difficult for others to say clearly. Writing a story where the main character is not a sympathetic person can be very trying. Thanks for writing this.

And Andy very nearly expected things to go wrong, as if life was going along too well. But while it was horrible, at least Andy is alive and safe. Whether he will ever manage to emerge from his hurt is another matter. Thank you for continuing to read the story and for your reactions.

But the important thing is that Andy - as he calls himself now - decided to stay in Blackburn and try school. Somewhere on the road between Carlsberg and Blackburn, he began developing into someone he might not have recognized: himself. Eustace may have had a fair bit to do with that. Back to being a nomad, indeed. Eric doesn’t trust anyone enough to reveal the truth about himself, even though Eustace might have been understanding. But Ambrose would have been a whole different matter. Thank you for continuing to read the journal and for your comments.

Toby and Eric at least reconnected. You’re right that he will always get nervous about slipping up - too many bad memories to do otherwise. But at least Eric is eating at safe. The farm has been good to him. Thanks so much for your comments and thoughts.

No, Eric really came up luckier than some - he escaped, and he did not end up being sold to other truckers. He is still on the run and scared, but he remains free. Thanks again for commenting and for reading.

These are unfortunately the common episodes to kids who live on the street, who are wandering. The police suspected Stephan / Eric, and it would not have been hard to pin the murder on him. Prison might have been far worse than his current life. Thank you for your comments and for continuing to read the journal.
