  1. Awesome start. I am hooked...like a fish. Just reel me in. I’m looking forward to it.
  2. I am glad you enjoyed your seat at the wedding. How good it was to see both Andy and Zander full of joy and delight and wonder. Thanks for being there.

    The Fall Guy

It’s painful, it’s funny, and possibly too true. This was a grand chapter. Now if Andy can manage to see Tyrone’s olive branches for what they are, or if Tyrone can find a way to neutralize Andy’s hostility, we might see more than sparks flying.
  4. You made my evening when I saw this. You divined my meaning perfectly in the first, and in the third. And you seemed to hear, as I did, a kind of harmony in the second. Thank you for reading this set, and for your thoughts.
  5. You speak strong words against your adversary. I know him, too. I shall be glad of your light which pushes darkness into retreat, and your poetry which sounds melody against the noise of hurt.
  6. I am so glad you liked the last two chapters. If it means anything, I loved writing them, too.
  7. Zander may not so much be using Mary Ellen as much as he is being pursued. Unlike Andy, he can’t run.
  8. @Higster: Justice indeed. Mrs. Chandler and FPS were thoroughly put in their place. Andy was lucky to have the Stevensons as his family, and Heidi Graber to dismantle the hapless FPS lawyer. Thanks for reading and commenting.
  9. No, Greg wasn’t hiding it much. But outing someone else in a fit of pique is not cool at all. Andy and Zander have something that not everyone gets - a deep and abiding love. They are lucky they have one another. Thank you again for reading this entry in Andy’s journal, and for your comments.
  10. I am so glad you are enjoying this. This was a hard chapter in many ways, yet it is good for Andy to work through some of the hurt he has endured.
  11. You are most welcome. I am glad you liked getting to see how Andy is becoming himself more, even as he deals with the wreckage of his past.
  12. @Higster: Yes. Andy and Zander have revealed to one another who they really are, and who they really love. And in this perfect moment, Andy perhaps believes something truly good will happen to him.
  13. I liked this feature, Dodger. You speak so easily about some of the things that are quite difficult for others to say clearly. Writing a story where the main character is not a sympathetic person can be very trying. Thanks for writing this.
  14. Thank you. Summer stargazing is one of my favorite things. Glad you liked these.
  15. I am glad these inspired and made you smile. I love your response verse! Stars and constellations are some of the greatest delights of any time. Thank you, my friend.
  16. Thank you, tim. Some constellations are old friends; all one needs is a glimpse of a few points of light to know they are shining there. Kind of like some wonderful people I know, too... xxoo. p
  17. I am deeply grateful you took the time to read these. I am doubly happy you found some of them resonant in memory. Your kind words are a balm, a blue sky, a melody of birdsong. Thank you.
  18. And Andy very nearly expected things to go wrong, as if life was going along too well. But while it was horrible, at least Andy is alive and safe. Whether he will ever manage to emerge from his hurt is another matter. Thank you for continuing to read the story and for your reactions.

    Chapter 1

Thank you so very much for your kind comment. Even more, thanks for reading this short story. I enjoyed writing it, and hoped the end would be a nice surprise.
  20. I, too am partial to the night sky. I am glad that particular line connected with you.
  21. Thank you. I am happy you read these.
  22. I spied your stars rising high in the southern sky; a constellation promising and bright; they say you are loyal and generous, a sexy lover, too; but they forgot your smile. Do you anticipate that sweet, strong, tight embrace where warmth meets warmth and hearts beat swift as one? Await with me that transcendent moment when parts join exactly with our voices in tune. Smudged prints on the mi
  23. Poor Andy can hide, but not from Terry. She is very persistent, like Ambrose. If he feels uncovered, exposed, Andy could run again, despite the good place he seems to be in. Thank you for your thoughts and comments, and for reading the journal.
  24. Oh, I love how this ended. You wrote an awesome final chapter. Wonderful that Jimmy walked all that way, because he had to. Thank you for this story.
  25. But the important thing is that Andy - as he calls himself now - decided to stay in Blackburn and try school. Somewhere on the road between Carlsberg and Blackburn, he began developing into someone he might not have recognized: himself. Eustace may have had a fair bit to do with that. You’re right that Andy has hazards ahead of him. He may have to run yet. Thanks for your thoughts and for reading the journal.
