Thanks for that lovely compliment - that you should want more. There is one more chapter, at least. This was very difficult writing, trying to give voice to Skinny's characters as he would have done. Thanks for reading!

David and Andy are seen here in a new time, and in better places for each than before. Yet that doesn't mean they aren't still beset by their hurts. It is interesting to see them wary of one another, testing out the possibility of friendship. Thanks for reading and for your comments.

There is beauty in this dance we chose, for without each, we are neither... These two lines are as beautiful as any poetry written, as loving as any vow. These alone amazing, yet I was already swept on the tide of craving and yearning and trust you created. Truly wonderful, tim.

Finally, Eric has a tiny bit of stability in his life. He eats. He works. And for once there is an older parent sort of figure he can respect. And he is very concerned about Ambrose Whitley. However, Toby seems like a nice guy, doesn't he? Thank you for picking up this story a second (or third) time, and even more for your very kind and generous comment.

There are many deer, and we are entering their season. The morning mists lift to reveal them. This was special, though. Thank you.

Dawn Encounter was quite unexpected and powerful in reality. But there are other encounters - with rabbits, killdeer, raccoons, owls, even. And once, memorably, with a skunk. All quite wonderful.

To have such creatures appear, then vanish, is magical. How much fun you must have had. Memories and more are companions of the early dawn.

Road Music Highway noises echo down dark morning's valley, braking eighteen wheelers sing of lost things; harried, sleepy-eyed, coffee starved pickups play high C's on concrete, but can't drown out the stars. Dawn Encounter Standing tense in the mist, the tall buck tests the air, waiting for the blood-red scent of danger; subtle eddies shift and dance around him, bearing evil rumors to frighten and dismay.

Yes, I am drawn to that one, too. It took several tries to get it to start right, as there were a number of false beginnings and dreadful rhyme traps. But once it started, it poured right out...thanks very much for reading these, and for your comments.

I am all the more grateful to you for reading this, then, even though you are familiar with neither story. @Timothy M. had good advice about where to pick up the thread of A to Z; you can ask him. This was meant to be a pastorale, in contrast to the other, more turbulent main stories. I am glad you got that sense. I hope you will continue with these few chapters, at least. Thanks so much for reading.
