Chapter 16-Poetry prompt 15- Alone and Fallen Stars
Parker Owens commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 16-Poetry prompt 15- Alone and Fallen Stars
Dear Gary, these poems sing so poignantly, so sadly, so full of melancholy and regret. You speak of loneliness and set detachment so vividly, I can place myself there at your side. But were I at your side, I would be the one trying to make you laugh, make you smile, just a little. Thank you for sharing these. -
Chapter 38: Christmas Eve
Parker Owens commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Chapter 38: Christmas Eve
Andy and Zander have re established their friendship, which is perhaps the best Christmas gift he could have asked for. Zander's father is indeed a lawyer. However did you guess? I am sure Andy will hope and pray that Zander never makes the connection between the rape story and himself. Given his usual practice to hide, he will avoid any mention of it at all cost. Thank you for reading Andy's journal! -
Stefan -Eric-Andy has caught a few breaks since walking away from Carlsberg. He's alive at least. He has made some friends, who may even stay friends if he allows them to get close enough. And he's not in jail, either. Not yet. Soul there are blessings to count, I suppose. Thank Yiu so much for continuing to read this story.

David's subconscious finally informs his present mind about the reality that has lain hidden for so long. But a broken and vulnerable David still can't spill everything to Sam. What he does manage to tell Sam must make his heart ache. And now David begins to do more than nibble away at the Twoey-Alex question that must further torque his unhappy brain into further knots. If David comes out of this with any semblance of normality, he will have proven himself to be one strong and determined kid. Still wondering if Twoey's suppressed sob is for David, or because something bad happened with Erik. Great chapter, Skinny. Please, sir, can we have some more?

Forgiveness - Prompt 501
Parker Owens commented on albertnothlit's story chapter in Forgiveness - Prompt 501
This is a grand story. I was entranced by it, and by the way you found a way to bring it to a very satisfying close. -
Thank you SD for your, um, colorful commentary. The first is a rather predatory piece, isn't it? Balance was one of those paradoxes that occurred to me during an idle evening moment when I should have been doing something else. To live, I must either provoke my fellow man, or rely on his mercy, I prefer the latter, I think.
-
Oh, Gary, I am so glad you found the paradox at the bottom of Balance. It was just idle musing at first, but then...and the solitary cat was a little chilling, in its predatory way. Thank you so much for your comments.
-
Thank you for these comments. Cats aren't merely cuddly, are they? I am glad Balance made you think.

Solitary Cat I am a solitary cat who darkly prowls to hunt alone; I've killed an unsuspecting rat and for like sins, I must atone. Upon such innocents I've fed, created for some purpose great; and by my teeth their beauty bled: they were my prey, that was their fate. Unlike the dog, I did not share; I lay in wait to make my kill - no rushing pack for fox or hare, no pressing throng my blood to thrill. I've watched you from my corner chair, unknowing in the late day sun; and at your lovel

And today, fish is relatively expensive. Go figure. Yes, Stefan's story is just as cruel the second time as the first. But at least he got the chance to walk away. Thanks so much for your comments.

Perhaps his teachers could not see beyond the scruffy clothing or downcast expression; or perhaps Stefan's own impenetrable walls deterred his teachers. Some public schools are woefully underfunded, and classes are still quite large. It is unfortunately possible that Stefan simply slipped by them without exciting too much comment, especially if his work was solid, but not stellar. Working with his hands, on a definable task may be a different matter altogether, and he has Ramon's and Suzie's full attention. In any event, it is good to see Stefan/Eric get some positive attention for once. Thank you for your comments!
-
It was certainly a great blow to him. I am so glad you are reading this story. It is hard going, but there is something about Stefan/Eric that keeps his hope going. Thank you for leaving a review! All the authors on GA appreciate reviews so much. It's what keeps us writing.

I liked the turn (no pun intended on the ankle) your plot took. Corey and Jason thrown together, and nobody got a bloody nose. That's an accomplishment of sorts. Perhaps friendship is possible after all...

Faris and James: The Party, erm … Event (Prompt 501)
Parker Owens commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Faris and James: The Party, erm … Event (Prompt 501)
I loved this. Oh, the resistant boy when the spouse wants to celebrate! And Faris was right, absolutely, about everything. Thank you for another snapshot in their lives. -
Randy may have a good plan, a discreet plan, a workable plan. The problem is that David is utterly unlikely to fully reveal himself to Randy. He can barely be honest with himself. That said, I can envision a scenario that would dissipate the Alex problem easily, though the stars would have to align just so. Erik's control problem is becoming more open, although that may be a function of our familiarity with him. Note to Twoey: call David.

Tim, you have touched me deeply with these four poems. Number four particularly affected me, as I felt it spoke most to my thoughts. Number one echoes it's emptiness and the the pain of being left behind. Number three had me thinking and re-thinking, and even now I wonder if I have it right. And number two is so very sad, and so very true. You continue to write masterfully. Thank you.

Chapter 15 Dinner with friends
Parker Owens commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 15 Dinner with friends
A wonderful dinner, and described beautifully. Thank you for telling this story. -
What a lot it says about Toph that he agrees to go with Gary. What a lot it says about Gary that he can be so patient. What a lot it Sasha about you as storyteller that you have written a perfectly wonderful and fulfilling chapter. Thank you.

Coward, Anal and Time - Prompt 500
Parker Owens commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Coward, Anal and Time - Prompt 500
Tim - this piece is fantastic. The single voiced conversation, the many blank, empty places left for the mind to fill in...this is brilliant. So much is left for me to consider and paint in my own mind, and yet I can relate to the tone and feeling of the speaker. You have outdone yourself, my friend. -
Week Fourteen Saturday, December 6, 2014: Randy
Parker Owens commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Fourteen Saturday, December 6, 2014: Randy
The contrast between David and Chuck is plain: one agonizes over whether to have sex without love, while the other is learning to love sex. One got a boyfriend, the other drifts toward.....great chapter, SD! -
Chapter 15 Poetry Prompt 5- Rhyming couplets- We Poets
Parker Owens commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 15 Poetry Prompt 5- Rhyming couplets- We Poets
I love your couplets, they are great, now I want to celebrate; verse need not be dark of part, but instead for light of heart Thank you, Gary! -
I am fascinated by this story. It helps that I'm bi - as in ambidextrous, and in much the way of Sam's development, too. Great story line, I'm hooked.

I have been waiting for something like this. Maybe CJ and Owen aren't going to be a forever thing. But at least CJ has looked inside, seen a some truth, and most importantly, shared it. Whatever happens with Owen and CJ, maybe that will help most of all. Thank you for this chapter.

Special Prompt 1 - Friday the Thirteenth
Parker Owens commented on Valkyrie's story chapter in Special Prompt 1 - Friday the Thirteenth
If you were trying to scare me or freak me out, it worked. And that it was a real story...and I know about that kind of scam/targeting you spoke of...oh, man. -
Lighting just struck, and the thunderclap in the boys' minds certainly left Jackson completely shocked. Now is the most dangerous moment. Jackson admitted to himself that he doesn't want to hurt Luke; Luke is clearly petrified, but made the first move, anyway. If either one reacts badly, each will go spinning off into their own personal hells, unable to reconnect. This is a real cliffhanger, without a doubt.
