Thanks all, hope you all have a good weekend. @chris191070 i hope so, He will start a new regime of twice daily showers, pills and cream so hopefully there will be some improvement. And He managed to sleep for 6 hours last night, that was good.

we need more docs like that.. saying there is someone better than he is. Bravo for him. i hope all goes well with this new surgeon!!
-
Actually its good news really .. These issues have been going on for years so finally getting in front of the right doctor is really amazing. Thanks for the good wishes, though, rick. xo

bedtime cannot come soon enough. i didnt sleep well and then we had to be up at 6am to be ready to leave by 7am. We had to go to a rapid access clinic downtown. It was freezing out and you can only lineup outside. Registration began at 7:30am .... i guess we were in by 8am, so not too bad. Finally, Michael saw a doctor who doesn't think His skin issues are eczema. He had two biopsies done and a bunch of prescriptions to help with the itching (and therefore sleep), lots of lotion, oils and creams as well. We go back in four weeks for an afternoon appointment for the result and hopefully a solid treatment plan. Hope you are all doing okay.

That might be a fun place to manage ... maybe the tenants would be easier to deal with?
-
Aw how wonderful!!

oh! Where were you working? Somewhere semi-fun? Not that work is fun but maybe after???

Ah, i know they have graduation dances here ... not heard of anything like that happening, other than a high school or college reunion. i'd hide too.

i don't know what homecoming is.. but i hope you can hide from the homecomers successfully !

it took me a lot of years to understand it. i thought i should be able to motor thru depressive episodes, not give into it but that just made it worse. i haven't had one for a few months now. Which is great but also scary. i don't go to therapy as often now but i was there last week. i told the doc i was worried about what will happen it when one does come, because it will. He said, that yes it likely will come, so what is your plan when it does? i said, tell Michael how i feel, let you know what's going on and remember it is only temporary, remember the months of 'good' times and remember it's just part of me. And that rest and quiet are necessary to cope during this time. He said that all sounds good. He said now write that down, then embroider it and put it on your wall. i just laughed. He knows i knit ...lol But i did write it down.. my plan. It's a bit less scary now and i don't feel like i'm just waiting for it to happen.

It's hard to pick one .. glad we cut them up a bit so we could all try all of the ones we picked. I liked them all, but they are so moreish... It's likely a good thing we do not live down there. LOL

Had a nice Thursday night ... was taken out to Buddha's which serve vegetarian Chinese food. It was really delicious. Then was treated to some amazing cookies from this place: https://thenightbaker.com/ We had the classic, mistachio and ooh bae... which we cut up and sampled because they are so big. We were joined by Dan (Sir) and our nephew Peter and his bf Jess. I know they are pricey but honestly, i'd order some for special occasions because they are sooooo delicious. We were in the west end of Toronto. I really like it down there. Walked a lot as it was such a wonderful fall afternoon. We live at the red dot and were in the area of the blue one. Michael, Dan and i took the subway down there, cuz it's insane to drive. We took an Uber home however. It was late.

To hide things i put them on the top shelf of the fridge. Most people around here have to bend double or do squats, to see that shelf. Me included. LOL

pie lasts for days: is that possible? haha
-
Aint no turkey sandwich without the stuffing and lots of cranberry sauce .. i could just sit and eat a bowl of cranberry sauce...LOL
-
It's good if you have plans for your leftovers ... i have had bigger turkeys when Peter lived with us and would eat 'stinking' turkey, haha. I'd make a pie, curry and and turkey makes a mean spaghetti sauce too. Mostly, i'm happy with a sandwich or two and a bowl of soup! lol Since Michael got diabetes, we don't eat much pie, though we both love them.

that's a good idea .. but there likely won't be much of that left either... bunch of animals around here!!!

yeah i freeze lots of things flat if i can.. i use a lot of canned pumpkin and it comes in BIG cans so i freeze it flat, much better for my little freezer. Thanks for the tips, rick!!
