  4. Thanks, Parker. It was just a little story that arrived the other day. i am glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for reading it and your comments. xo
  5. Build him and he will be yours ...
  6. Is there a car called Evo? ... i have no idea. i don't drive. i don't read magazines or newpapers often. We don't watch commercial TV ... so i do not see car ads and i am not a car person. i just don't care about them ... other than when they try to crush me in the street. The story was in my head the other day so i wrote it down ... Evo's name was just there too. Just like magic.
  7. Evo was eight. He lay in bed quietly while his mom pulled up the covers and said good night. He kissed her when she presented her cheek. “Sleep well, Evo,” she said. After yawning, he snuggled against his pillow. “Night, Mom.” She smiled at him and then left, closing the bedroom door behind her. From where he lay, he could see out his window just a bit. It was at the end of his bed, on the left side. The night sky had that wintry white glow. Winter and snow meant skating and fun.

    Trouble

i hate reading of parents who ignore their kids' abuse. i won't say anymore here. Thanks, Wayne.
  9. slept from midnight to 9:45am ... got up, showered and now doing nothing but making some meatballs and then dinner later ... working on the epilogue of the next story ...
  10. Thank you, Jeffrey.
  11. For dinner again tonight ... a nice bowl of large-flake oatmeal and some toast. One of my fav things to eat.
  12. Thanks Reader... i got a cake! And 10,000 applause points to spend.
  13. The locker was cool... just go in.. touch the screen to wake it up.. enter the code Amazon emailed to you.. door pops open.. take your stuff and go. You have a few days to pick up .. if you dont, then its returned for a full refund. It's closer than walking to the post office, which is another option but you need to pay shipping for that. they delivered it at no charge to the locker. We dont need to worry about being home, or them leaving stuff just outside the door, which is bad.
  14. That's nice in the end ... sorry it was sucky to start with. We were a bit busy today. We went to get my health card renewed, then we went to pick up a few things from the grocery store. After the 60 cabbage rolls we made last week, this week i will make a lot of meatballs for the freezer too. After that we came home dropped off our groceries and then left right away. Michael took me out for lunch and then we went to Walmart. We found lots of the xmas bits there we wanted that they had advertised, picked up some sugar free jello, jam, peanuts and some other stuff. Last night i'd ordered a bunch of stuff from amazon and sent it to the nearby bank which has an Amazon locker. The first thing arrived today so after we got home from wally world,we had a coffee and then walked over there to pick up the parcel. That was a pleasant experience .. free shipping to there and a not to long walk to get it. Now we are home.. there is a cold weather alert for tonight .. so we have no plans to go anywhere. We are going to watch part two of The Mandalorian. It was pretty good. Maybe have a bowl of oatmeal if we ever feel hungry. Have a nice Friday night.
  15. @comicfan 801 prompts! That is quite an achievement, my friend! Thank you for all of your effort!

    On the Bridge

A wonderful poem ... love these ... yet still savoring the spinning stars, all banter drowned out by a loud moon laughing at a timeless joke told by rippled waters
