Hmm not sure how I missed this story back in July but I’m here now. 😃 Looking forward to reading now that I have found it. I know I have said before but Charlie Boone and company is one well written series that I always look forward too and can’t believe I missed it. Must not have been into reading then.

Glad to see a new book in this series. We are off to a good start so far. Thomas has finally been able to move on from Jared’s death and is making friends with Lachlan. It’s good for him to have someone to talk with that wasn’t close to the situation. I hope things will turn out well for the Prentice’s and the guys are able to keep the property. Q

Puppy meets Saturday boy. Awesome first chapter. We know things were not great with both Puppy and Joey in their respective stories so this meet up between Puppy and Joey leading them too being together? Hunter and Jack would make a great couple by the sounds of it. So awesome to see these stories back and combined even. Q

So I had stated in another of your stories I really enjoyed reading that this was one of only 2 of your stories I hadn’t read and mentioned I would probably take a pass because I wasn’t into sci-fi. However a few readers and yourself urged me to give it a go. Well I am glad I did I have never been a “Treky” and was also never into “Star Wars” but the writing in this story just drew me in and I became attached to Adam and I had to know what happened. The story was Sci-Fi comedy tragedy heartbreaking in spots and over all a wonderful read. Thank you James for this tale and hopefully more from these guys even if it’s just an epilogue to let us see Adam and his brother together again, and to everyone who urged me to give the story a try. Hmm something strange here I think… This is the same as chapter 5 or most of chapter 5 is reprinted here…. and the comments don’t match the chapter content.

Great story I am like some of the others and almost put the book down a couple of times but I am glad I stuck with it it turned out wonderfully well. There were times I wanted to knock either one of them upside the head at most times I had a hard time knowing they were adults it was more like they were still I high school with the way the acted. Great writing and I agree with others it would be great to either see some side stories or another book. Thanks for sharing your art with us. Q

Sorry to disagree with you @Geemeedee but I do think Donovan is taking what Shane said way overboard. It was Shane’s way of just saying it’s not your looks that attract me but you yourself. I get also that Donovan isn’t going through all the primping for Shane but to make himself feel better but I mean come on to be so into it that to not even let someone see you before all the primping that’s a little out there if I say so myself. And here we are Donovan is what again 25 going on 15? Kids games hanging up and running away wouldn’t it have been better to sit down and discuss why it’s so important to him? Great story @Mrsgnomielooking forward to reading more. Sorry I’m not commenting on every chapter but it’s hard when a story is finished to just not binge read. Usually only stopping when I read something I feel I really need to comment on. Q

Ok I get it he doesn’t have a very good home life. But why go give someone else grief especially and elderly gentleman. No one to catch him this time around either. Feeling bad for Erik the little bit of extra money he had was tied up in that garden damn kids. Q

We’ll I hope you get settled and enjoy your new home. I have read everything you have posted here except for “Purity” simply because I’m not so much into Sci-fi however I am thinking I will at least give it a try now. Also haven’t read “Him in the Dust” and that one I’m pretty sure I won’t tackle I’m not into reading about wars it’s all to real just like I avoided a lot of the stories when COVID hit saw to much of it in the news and such reading is my escape. I will also read anything you do decide to post aside from war stuff tho I really do enjoy your style.

Wow the one person that we never really guessed… Colin/Mike and Alan. I never thought it was Colin because of the 5 year affair with Jakes mom. But wow can I say what a messed up couple Alan and his wife are I don’t Jenny has any right to be upset with Alan even though I don’t like either one of them for how they treated and lied to Jake. So what sex is sex an affair is an affair Jenny just seemed upset because it was another guy. Whatever… They are jus so messed up. So Trevor gave Jake 25 grand to help him either be with Ethan or on his own good on him. It more help then Jake got from his parents. I have so loved being able to have the conspiracy discussions and having a fav character and defending them arguing their good parts it’s been a very great joy. I think this has been the most I have ever commented on a story or even on a single chapter sometimes through these 2 books. So loose ends still there. What happened in court with Colin? What happens when Cody and Luke finally get back together over the holidays? Why does Ethan still want to Lay low? Does Ethan and Jake stay together? So James a new book about these questions in the future? Please say yes I love your writing and these Characters not ready to tell them goodbye. Q

Jason is so damn thick headed how can he not know what the fight he heard at the door was about… The father shouting You will not corrupt him…. God Jason Nathan is gay Duh….. Nathan in a way you are even worse then Jason… he heard the fight and the corrupt comment just be truthful for god sake. And then go to court and get legal visitation and then no one can stop you from seeing your daughter…. These guys are doing my head in I should have stuck to my previous comment and just stopped reading at least until the story was finished.

I think Shane likes Gordy that’s why he is picking on him yes they are way to old to be playing the elementary game of pick on the person you like but perhaps Shane doesn’t quite know how to act around someone he really likes.

At any rate I think it will be with Emily’s help that Felicity will be able to make the break from her husband of course also A&A will be behind her as well. I am glad Erik has allowed Emily to enter his home and offer tea it will be nice for him to have someone so nearby in case of trouble or if he needs a helping hand with something and Andy is at hand. All caught up now I am. Looking forward to the next and subsequent chapters. Your writing is engaging. Q

I think Erik is certainly getting a bit better with handling some social interactions like the new neighbors he didn’t go out of his way to avoid them. I am happy that most of the letters he received seemed to be nice and, so far out weigh the hate mail. The phone call from Brian I think was a good thing and let Erik know even tho A&A are away he still has a friend that is still local he seems to be handling things on his own still tho so that’s for sure progress. It’s great to see the neighbors concern over the teens that showed up even greater to see the workers also stepping in to stop any trouble. And the neighbors certainly didn’t seem to have any negative thought about Erik being gay.

I made it to the latest book. I have hardly put my tablet down since I discovered the first book earlier today. I wasn’t sure at first if I was going to enjoy the story but I have to say halfway through the first chapter I was hooked. Loving this series and looking forward to more. 2 chapters to go to be fully caught up. Thanks for sharing your artistry with us. Q

A Family Beyond Comprehension
quttzik commented on James Matthews's story chapter in A Family Beyond Comprehension
Omg is that what was in the pictures Colin had 🤪 -
True it was friend or relative but I am and was a homebody and as I’m older now and disabled although still independent, I’m good if I don’t leave the house but once a week. And yes I’m sure it’s even worse for Erik considering how long he has been on his own and only the weekly trip to the store or the very occasional trip to the pub where still he was alone.

I’m happy to see that Brian was able to overcome his shock and they are able to stay friends. I can relate to how Eric feels being a guest in someone else home. I’ve had to for work issues bunk in with a friend at the time the only work I could find was 2 hours away so thru the week I lived with friend and I couldn’t wait until quitting time Friday to go home for the weekend. Another temp job I had for 3 months only 30 minutes from home by car but at the time I didn’t have one so I moved in with my Aunt I was pretty much stuck there for the whole 3 months it was so nice when I was able to get back home. Mind you I was in my teens and early 20s on those couple of occasions so what I considered home was still with my parents but still it’s the familiarity and comfort factor.

Sorry I haven’t commented sooner but since I have caught this story already completed I have been binging chapters I am so engrossed in the story some reason I scrolled in this chapter to far and caught the comment about ice cream flavors from Tim. loving the story I just finished book 1 and started this one immediately after. Thanks for sharing your work with us.

Burger King once had a Hot Caramel Bacon sundae. I had one or two not anymore then that tho. They weren’t bad I love sweets and salty together but I think it was more the smoked flavor and the thought that meat and ice cream shouldn’t go together.
