  1. Salem is a very sweet young man who has been dealt a bad hand of cards in the poker game of life. Johnny is very kind, patient, and caring, wanting to help Salem feel better about himself. This was an excellent chapter, and I love the poetry!
  2. Sorry, Clo. I responded to a comment Marty made, but I got the name jumbled with yours from another comment. That's what I get for reading too fast.
  3. You could organize a day camp.
  4. Possibly. Dierdre and her hubby went straight from A to G until they found a name they liked, for Grant. Then they just kept going.
  5. OOPS! Sorry, Clo! I got mixed up.
  6. Excuse me, I meant Marty. Sorry, Clo.
  7. Marty! Are you trying to bring a nuclear rain down on us?!
  8. Best wishes for Mark's full recovery.
  9. They're maple-cured sausages. That makes it breakfast food. And "home fries" isn't like "frites". They're diced and cooked with onions.
  10. There's nothing wrong with having breakfast food for dinner.
  11. @Bucket1 Wow. A $65,000 gold nugget was discovered in Kalgoorlie.
  12. Pain Perdu, sausages, and home fries.
  13. Did somebody get into Turkish oil wrestling again?
  14. But Gary is a Canadian citizen. Texas law doesn't apply to him, so he can't be charged with treason.
  15. Hey, Drewbear. How's life?
  16. Hey, Gary. Hey, Albert. RANDY! Missed you, sexy chef. OMG! I'm so sorry, Randy. I hope Mark will be okay. Like Marty said, I'm not really a religious person, but I'll keep your family in my thoughts.
  17. Afternoon, Dugh, Mum, and Thistle. *scratches Thistle on his belly* I noticed a patch of wild strawberries in the backyard, because of the little white flowers. I think I'll stick with the ones from the farmer's market, though. Hey, Marty. Sounds lovely. The sky is bright blue without a cloud in the sky, and the breeze is warm. The water levels are still just as high as they were yesterday, though. Hopefully that will change when summer heats up and evaporates some of the runoff from the late winter we had.
  18. He'll probably nuke you, too, at some point.
