Flying Books...

A young man uses hair gel to slick down his previously spikey hair... he looks at his dog in front of him on the bed. The terrier has spikey hair. The dog leaps from the bed, opens the door and escapes the room leading the young man on a merry chase through the hotel... just until the young man follows his dog into a room where there is a party going on. The young man spots a young lady across the room... his dog sees another dog across the room. Yes you guessed... Gel at first Sight!

For clarification, what is the contrast button (menu option on reading stories) supposed to do? On my tablet it changes from black text on a white background to white text on a black background. With the latter the menu options, next chapter, previous chapter (top right and top left) are practically invisible because they are in colours that do not show up against a black background. Is this how it is supposed to be?

All my stories, headers, footers, and main text are formated with code (GA bbcode norm). Currently the code is not being read and appears as text. Consequently centering text , paragraph breaks, bold, italics, highlighted, color, do not work. My question: will this be addressed or must all books published using code formating be republished?

I just see a load of trouble for Brett now Billy has moved back home. Brett is not acting normal and who knows what he's doing or will do. Billy is no saint either, okay he's got teenage sex drive, but he would have been real happy to fuck Brett again, if Brett hadn't fallen asleep. He can ignore what's going on with Brett if sex is being offered, he has a selfishness just like Brett does. In fact all three of them do, Billy, Brett, and Dustin are pretty selfish and definitely immature, but then they are fifteen.

A request - When everything is updated and bugs sorted out and all running smoothly, could I get my friends (list) back?

On the right hand side under STORIES are all recently published updates, new chapters. Click on CHAPTERS 10 or whatever number there are and it takes you to a list of that books chapters. Click the last chapter in the list and at the top you will see the date it was published, ie. today. Hope that helps.

Geron is an excellent author who has a unique ability to portray the lives of his young protagonists with such feeling and reality that the reader is inexorably drawn into the story. This book was no exception and succeeded in conjuring up those moments which I am certain nearly everyone has experienced when young. The friendships made which we are only too aware will be transitory, and yet we loved each and everyone of those friends. Their memories remain in our hearts and steal us against the overwhelming emotions caused by the inevitable separation. As Jesse says, "People were going to come into his life quite suddenly throughout it, and many would leave again just as quickly. Jesse knew he was going to feel special things about some of them - things which would be as hard to part with as the people he felt them for." It was an pure joy to read and I could not put it down until I reached the final line. If you have not read the other books in the series, then I recommend those to you, before you read this. But do read this, because you cannot fail to enjoy it!

This book recalls those wonderful moments when we were so much younger and we made special friends that we loved even though we knew we would soon have to say goodbye and be parted. It sums that up perfectly and conjures up those dreamy recollections that enthuse within me those exact same emotions the boys describe when their vacation ends and they go their own way. What a marvellous story, it was pure joy to read.

You took the reader inside Ron's head as he narrated his life story in little cameos, but we never really got to know him. We felt the abuse he'd suffered and the pain he'd endured for so long he didn't even feel it anymore. The juxtaposition of the hospital and his life worked really well. It was a short story, so there was never going to be a complete picture. It was just immensely sad, and I came away feeling there was a whole lot missing from Ron's life.

Obviously Brett can be an absolute shit, but he does need help and if he won't listen to his mum, and he won't listen to Billy, but worse he blames everyone, including Billy. Worse still he's telling Billy it all started to go wrong after they had sex, which isn't true. I hope Billy can get him to see things differently, but I'm worried about what might happen.

As a final chapter I doubt you could have written it with more beauty or poetry. The final scene as the snow flakes fell... Superb, in a class of it's own, it requires nothing added. A sequel is never easy, but if somehow you came up with another angle on their story, it would be a treat. Whatever happens I will not easily forget this book.

It read like one of those black and white films about a private detective, where the plot is narrated as you watch the scenes play out. Only in this case the narrator wasn't a private eye, but a hit man. The atmosphere was super, the story had it's little twists and surprises, very well done.

It's a long way from Tolkien, Bilbo Baggins, and Lord of the Rings, published in 1955 - somehow I don't seem to remember it being quite like that!

It was a nice story and very polished piece of writing.

It was an incredible story and pretty clear right from the start what is was about. I have to tell you I couldn't stop the tears welling up in my eyes, it was just so beautiful. You should be immensely proud as an author to have brought such a tale of love and humanity to your readers.

I too think it a cruel joke that seriously risked destroying a tentative relationship that was hanging by a virtual thread. It was after all the first time they had met. It was well written, the style seemed to reflect an author for whom English is not their first language. Perhaps I'm wrong there, but the descriptions were slightly different than expected, not odd, but not usual.

"My pastor told me Buddha is in hell getting sodomized by demons. Is this true?" This is a quote from an online forum. Inspirational? Well yes, because it illustrates that you should not give credence to someone in a position of authority without thinking about what they are saying. You should not believe someone just because you are told that you should. And most importantly don't accept that authority figures, especially the religious ones, actually merit any attention. Look at what was said and you will realise the person who is actually satanic is the pastor.

Anyone a fan of short films, animation, and has seen 2001? This is good... "I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do."

I love the dialogue, it's so teenage, and just so hilarious when his mum said 'riding bareback must make you sore'...
