Stories I like so much that I read more than once: A to Z from @Parker Owens The Bridgemont Series from @Mark Arbour (7 books completed, unfortunately the 8 has been stopped for almost a year) Definitely many more stories, but these came immediately to mind

Thanks for the chapter. It was hot, but to be honest, harder to relate than the main story and your other shorts. I guess, apart from being an excuse to write sex scenes 😛, you try to show us both the way of thinking in a poly relationship like Devon, and also the questions and curiosities when you only had one person, like in Alan case. Well written anyway.

Best way against corrupt politicians, use media. They can hide it if everyone knows about it, they will be forced to take action for a change. They have to start broadcasting and showing their proves to the people.

With George and Caroline behind him, Freddie will get his life together. It will actually be very interesting that next time George goes to Carlton House. While closer in age to the young aristocrats, due to being a Navy captain and a peer of the realm, George is actually friends with the much older powerful fathers. The Duke of Portland refuses to talk about his son now, but I wonder how he will react when Cavendish shows up not as a boy than can be broken in obeying him, but with the support of Granger behind him. While George is respectful and would never purposely antagonize the Duke, he is not someone to accept any slights. Plus neither will want to fully antagonize the other politically, and they are both moderate Whigs. It will make for some awkward gambling tables.

It's interesting that for some characters, although personally closed to George, I don't know their first names. Daventry is a close enough friend that he calls Granger George, but I don't remember if George ever said his name. Also I suppose that Gaitling is Mr. Gaitling last name, and although George also had sex with him in the past, I don't think that either Granger or Calvert ever said his first name.

Great start, one has to love St Vincent grumpiness. Btw, what happened to Mr. Lennox, he was St Vincent flag lieutenant for a while, is he a Commander now?

The play made me think of Belvidera ,I wonder who is commanding her now, her refit, even if extensive, should be done, right? Although smaller than Valiant, she was a great frigate, so maybe George will lobby for some of his associates. Is Roberts a posted yet?

So there are frigate squadrons, not connected to a fleet of ships of the line. I imagine that more than be upgraded to a ship of the line, George's dream is to command such a squadron, specially if he can get his fellow officers that are not captains with him. Imagine a squadron of Granger, Calvert, Roberts and the like, the Spanish and French merchants would surely become much empoverished. And they would probably have dash enough to conquer some small islands. 😁

Winkler is a favorite. He is just a great guys, and takes his devotion to George very serious, even when it implies opposing men more powerful than him, or talking with grumpy admirals.

Another Wilcox? I lost count on them. Wasn't Maynard Wilcox the one from the Indies and the Floreal business? I thought Spencer had yellowed him out of the Navy. And great that George was made viscount, now Caroline just has to work to increase the peerage, His brother Freddie is still heir to a earldom, and we can't have Davina thinking they are superior. =D

Such an interesting chapter! Schemes behind the events, questions raised... George sure was lucky when he married Caroline. One has to wonder the dept of Caroline's knowledge. Why did she wanted Cavendish in the family meeting, when to general knowledge he was just George's midshipman, although friend, and he is Davina's cousin? And why did Kerry went instead, when is a "new" friend of George, but an old pal of Freddie? Does she suspects they are George's lovers, and so devoted to him? Also, I wonder if there aren't more forces keeping George and Francis apart, Kerry showed deep jealousy, and as George noticed before, Calvert spends the time in West Indies on transport duty... The only good thing is the I imagine that admiral Lammert will keep and eye and protect Calvert for George.

The birth of George's 3rd son made me think about something... I know this story is mainly about naval matters and George's live, but I love the snippets we get about these time period, the society, the politics... It's amazing how you build it together @Mark Arbour. But what I remembered was, in that period, it's inconceivable that their children wouldn't be baptized.. So who did they choose for godparents? Caroline would probably use those moments to increase their friend network.
