Interesting comment Jay T. I'm not an expert on the subject, neither am I looking to start a disagreement, but according to what I've found out there are differences in what a foster parent can do as opposed to what a guardian can do., so the two aren't the same. Ivor.

Mike's father works for the same firm as Adam's. It was from him that Adam's Pa first found out about Adam & Troy sneaking what they thought was an unseen kiss in the park that led to the events causing Adam to run away from home. I think you have Mike & Kyle slightly mixed up in the next sentence, but you are right with regard to treatment needed. Yep, that would have avoided some pain and grief.

The floor of the van was uncovered and uncomfortable to say the least, but I had other things on my mind to worry about than that. I'd never thought that Mike and Kyle were still around town as if they'd stayed here surely they'd have been seen and caught. Thus I'd decided they must be miles away, perhaps in another state let alone another town. I'd never expected them to kidnap us like this in the middle of the mall. I guess being so brazen and just walking up to us had helped them get awa

Hi Onim, I was just about to see if I could view Chapter 7 myself, but before doing so I checked my latest messages and saw you had 'reacted' to that chapter. I've no idea what the problem was you encountered because it should be possible to go direct from Chapter to Chapter. Am pleased to see your problem is resolved and glad to hear you're enjoying the story. You are about half way there now, although not only is it 'Unbeaten' it is also unfinished - at present. It will conclude at some point. Ivor.

I can't see why Carey would need to tell his mother about the theft and blackmail attempt. If Jamie doesn't fully recover there is little point and it spares his parents. If he does recover, and if Carey has told his mother about his relationship with Archer, Jamie has nothing to blackmail with. Enjoyed the story - some neat twists. -
Indeed, Adam hasn't just changed externally in his appearance in terms of the clothes he wears but also internally as a result of the love of not just Troy but also his family. Troy knew there was much more to Adam that what had been on show and is very happy to see the changes appearing.

Odd that Jeff is apparently more concerned about Simon and what has happened to him than he is his own kids, especially when he considers Simon is the one who has seduced David. Still, he is in a drunken stupor most of the time.

You should be used to me leaving you on the edge by now CG I did say to Glennish earlier that the next chapter would appear next week. My only rider on that now, is that I wouldn't want to post it and then wake up to find it had been drowned in a tsunami of Anthology stories. Apparently the powers that be don't want to announce in advance when those will be published leaving us non contributing authors to try and play 'dodge the bullet'.

It's always interesting to see how other people would deal with a story situation, so definitely no problems there. In the situation described in the mall A & T can't communicate to plan any action. Adam could yank Troy, but as they were both walking forwards wouldn't an unexpected yank to the side be likely to cause Troy to trip and fall? Okay, that would create a commotion and draw attention, but then we come back to whether Mike is stable enough not to shoot if his plans are thwarted.

But if he did that Adam would be leaving Troy to what appears to be either death or very serious injury. Raising a stink and calling the cops wouldn't do a lot of good, while I fear the call to his parents would only be to report what has happened to their son. Plus which Adam could also get shot. Isn't the old motto 'live to fight another day'?

I keep digging my boys into these holes, I really should learn to stop digging I guess how they reacted depended on whether they believed Mike had a loaded gun and was willing to use it. Adam's prime concern was Troy, but others might indeed have got hurt had shooting broken out.

As Droughtquake said, it appeared that Mike had a gun pressed in Troy's back, so if real and loaded, no chance of missing. And Mike no longer appears to be thinking rationally, so.......

Dumbasses indeed, but Mike seems so obsessed over Troy that logical thinking has deserted him while Kyle appears to be 'following his leader'. Next chapter should be next week. And thanks for the comment.
