Good question, Gary. Hopefully the mists may clear. Thanks for sticking with it.

    Chapter 1

I wonder which university will be the first to issue courses in that? Hope I don't get squashed in the rush to enrol. 🙂 A quietly intriguing start, but not doubt the sparks will soon start to fly...
  3. Hallelujah indeed!! How fortunate that Larkspur has a doc who is fully acquainted with modern methods and equipment. Now Mitch can get on with his life. And Gary, I just loved the way in which the examination scene was written - totally believable.🩺

Thank you for the comment Zeke. It is meant to be light hearted and with nothing happening that isn't welcomed by all of the characters.

Hopefully 'No good' is not the answer to your question. 🙂

Yep, I reckon you've neatly summed up the attraction of this type of story.

And the added benefit of no thorns with which to get pricked! 😀

They do appear to be paying attention in class!

Glad to hear you're liking the way the story has developed. There seems to be a meeting of minds, but not of bodies - at least as far as George is concerned!

Courgette Flowers Ben felt rather down in the dumps after Jake had left on Sunday afternoon. He'd had a great weekend, once again, but they weren't going to be able to spend the next one together. Deep down he knew it was impossible they could ever spend each weekend together, but right now he wasn't happy. His life had suddenly changed for the better a few weeks ago when he'd found 'Rover' in his garden that stormy night. That had led to meeting Jake and that had led to... Oo
  12. Will 'real life' mirror the story George Washington has written?
  13. Glad you do, Gary. I feared you were making it up as you went along! 😀
  14. More like Castor and Oil than Castor and Pollux I think. 😁
  15. Mitch sure seems to have spent a lot of the last three days doing some sage thinking...

For your question, see my response to Geron. As for the veggies, I think only the French and posh restaurants call them haricots vert. The rest of us call them French beans. 🙂 We also call egg plant aubergine

As he cannot tell a lie, George has admitted he doesn't really know either. 😁

So Ben could be damned if he doesn't do his own washing, or damned if he does! Perhaps after all he should take the lazy option and leave it to mum? 🙂

Again thanks @Headstall. It was intended to be different and hopefully entertaining.

Thanks, Gary. It is intended to be a light hearted set of stories, but perhaps a little message slips in here and there. Does that give me a feather in my cap?

    Chapter BDSR

'Courage in a courgette' Could that become a new sales slogan for that vegetable? George would definitely prefer to accept your offer of turkey quills than Ben's mum's feather duster. 🙂

    Chapter BDSR

That's good to know. Am sure that like you, they are eagerly waiting for it to appear...

    Chapter BDSR

Perhaps Jake doesn't need to do any research? Can't imagine Mrs T will miss one little courgette, although it wouldn't be easy to explain why you had one in your bedroom!
  24. Ben does some research George had to admit to himself that he'd rather enjoyed his email exchanges with whoever was jebanke69. He was now inclined to believe that it was two teenage boys who were sending the emails and not a troll. They just seemed to convey a sense of youthful enthusiasm and fun that he found hard to imagine a world weary adult could conjure up. Thus, hard as it was, he had to accept that somehow he had invented a story with characters who's names and locatio
