Meeting Up?
Jake also liked being able to lie next to Ben and cuddle with him. He'd been in a very happy place after their recent activities and thus it took a little while for what Ben had said about needing to contact George to register. Eventually though it did and he stirred himself enough to respond.
“I guess we do need to send him a message. After all, it does almost seem as if he's writing these stories for us.”
“Surely he can't be? Can he, Jake?”

Holding his gaze, Daniele shook his head. “How would I do that?” he replied honestly. “I’m only twelve.”
That line reminded me of the current TV ad where children are asked what needs to be done about global warming, where one replies 'Don't ask me I'm only six!'
Surprised though that Dani hasn't tried to contact Toto to tell him of the conversation he overheard in his father's shop.
I might toss in the occasional 'punny' along the way. but let there be no doubt that I consider these stories to be superb. Thought provoking and full of invention - or maybe not invention but just an introduction to an alternate reality that is lurking somewhere beyond our ken?
Wonderfully written as always, Geron.
Wow! I thought everything was going too smoothly and was wondering when the real danger would arrive - and now it has. Good thing they brought the 3 Elfsketeers with them. 🙂
Afghanistan 🍌 Stand indeed! Which of my books of corny one liners did you peel that one from??😀
My Pyewacket knowledge only went back as far as 'Bell,Book & Candle', so I was expectiing a cat rather than a phantom. 🙂
If all the town witches pooled their powers would they amount to a danger level for Charlier & Co? Mind you, they've always got reserves they can call on.
Perhaps the pair running the protection racket come from outside Ravello and have somehow been able to pressue Giacomo into looking for potential weak targets?
Charlie got frit - plus Pip and Keerby! - all of whom evidently looked unelf like as Miss Dancy noticed nothing unusual.
I'm assuming the phantom is very happy where it is and probably was concerned when Horace arrived and started delving into things. Hence it attaching a tracker to his bag to keep an eye on what he was doing and find out where he was from.
Not sure about Amy being a player, she strikes me as more the Miss Moneypenny type...
Thought for a while there was going to be a spirit fight, but, like a candle, it flickered out.
Fancy the boys employing a lady to look after their business when they're away. Amy must be very efficient to meet their requirements.
It is good to be back in a Ravello that is currently quiet without the cicadas. I suspect though that the quietness will soon be disturbed - and not by them.
