That's my feeling as well on writing prologues. I did a separate thread for us writers in the writing club, to discuss this thread, and prologues in general.

Interesting chapter. Left me wanting to find out what Toby and Justin were, and the whole "chosen" aspect.

Perhaps more so, with a level of crystal in their bodies (assumption based on the talk in this chapter). Some crystals have been used in focusing energy.

Excellent chapter. I love the plan they came up with, but as they say, "Plans never last last the first encounter." I just hope the boys have a backup plan, in case the first goes south. I can see you did a lot of research on dynamite and blast radius. And that you've put thought into your characters, and how they would react. Great job!

And XXL and 2XLT run about $30 a pop... Slightly less than the XXXL that I get, at $35 - $45.

I totally missed this post yesterday. I blame being up for over 48 hours. That is friggin cool! They found an optimal planet in the same star system that Roddenberry used for Vulcan... If they don't name it Vulcan, they would have missed huge chance to be a huge geek!

I hear ya. I get a little long-wind at times as well. The most I've done in a chapter is 8000 words, it's not posted yet, but will be as soon as I get it back from my editor.

A very intriguing story about two gay teens, who make an amazing discovery. The characters feel real, the story flowed, and I didn't spot any errors. My only criticism is the story is long for one chapter. That makes it hard to read when you can't do it in one sitting. Aside from that, a most excellent story.

I read this story because I like SciFi, and I've enjoyed your Z is for Zombie. This story was fantastic. I loved the interaction between Derry and Cally, it felt natural. Excellent.

We know it can throw a spear hard enough to rattle the walls, so I see it having no issues getting up there. Especially if they leave the truck close to the silo. We just saw it using stealth in order to get to the hatch and trying to pry it open. EDIT: Stealthy climb on the truck, and break in.

Another excellent chapter. I'm liking the interaction between the boys, but I say that almost everytime. It feels real, so great job on that. Bennie did a great job in detecting the noise, but I agree that they need a better security system. It seems to me, the weakest point of entry into the camp is the windows. After seeing the Zombie showing signs of trying to come in the front door, and getting burn for it, I can see it trying a window. Also, the fact the Zombie was moving at the buttcrack of dawn when the sun wasn't up fully shows that they are early risers.

They could raid a BassPro shop and get some of the Freeze Dried Ice Cream. It's pretty good, lasts a long time, and melts in your mouth.

Just dangle some live bait in front of it. Then drop a mountain on it.

Book 5, Finding Eros in Florida, was the third story I posted to GA, after this one, but is sat uncompleted and on hold. It still is. Book 4 I'm currently writing, and I have chapter 1 done, and starting chapter 2. What happened was, I had notes that linked A New Life and a New Home, with Finding Eros in Florida, and then when I wrote My Son I used those notes changing several things, to make it all make a bit more sense. When I linked them all together, A New Life and a New Home came first, followed by My Son, then A Few Days in the Life of Jeremy Isen, next is Family Always Has Your Back, with Finding Eros in Florida being the last one. Jeremy's story is complete but is waiting for final edits, and Eros' story the entire first chapter will be changed from what is posted. After that, there are 3 shorts I have planned. One you already know about, from the DiC, and two more that deal with the fallout of Duncan learning about < REDACTED > and does < REDACTED >, and then later < REDACTED >, Jeremy, and Travis does < REDACTED >.

Ok... no bells... But, I'll bring a woodchipper. I don't see a zombie regenerating after that.
