    A Knock on the Door

Thanks, Bft. I was raised, Southern Baptist and practiced that faith till I was 15, though I didn't leave the church till I was 18. I explored different faiths until a friend introduced me to Wicca, witchcraft, and paganism. I almost joined a Gerald Gardner based coven, until I found out they tolerate gays, but they don't participate in all rituals. Then I heard of a discipline called The Path of the Green Man, which is specific to Gay Male Pagans. It was in that circle, that I met someone that introduced me to spiritual paganism and the modern worship of Eros. Eros is one of three gods I do pray to, in my aspect of divinity. In Chapter 1 of the Book 4 in the Tampa Chronicles series, there is some talk about the faiths of the core four: Adam is a Pagan, Duncan is a Lutheran, Robert is a Roman Catholic, and Jeremy is more Diest in his views; however he was raised Baptist. For obvious reasons, Robert has his faith but is non-practicing, and Duncan, while he does pray and reads the Bible, hasn't been to a service since his divorce.
  2. Thanks for reading, Bft. Two more books, and then I'm calling this series done, but there will some shorts stories I have planned for my boys. EDIT: There will be more in this world, and I think each of the characters will get a dedicated story at least.
  3. Thanks for the heads-up, and for reading and the support, Bft.
  4. Thanks for reading and for the comment, Bft. Not all drama needs to be angsty and I'm trying to make them a family. But like all families, there will be some rough times.
  5. Lady Gaga, and her inspiration Freddie Mercury.
  6. #706 is on the list.
  7. Is it too late to submit stories? I'm almost done with mine.
  8. Thanks for reading, the comments, the review, and Beta Reading this story Chris. I can safely say Jeremy and Travis are destined for each other. Out of all the couples, they are my favorite, but I love all my boys and girl.
  9. Thanks, mfa607... I'll mention it starts off with a naked massage between two of the characters. Trying to give all the characters screen time, has been a little challenging, but so far, I'm two chapters down, and chapter 3 is being worked on.
  10. Thanks for reading, Tonyr. As I mentioned above to Glennish, there's been a supernatural aspect to The Tampa Chronicles, since the beginning, but Erin Ros, his disguise name, is going to make cameos in TC4 and featured in TC5.
  11. Thanks for reading, Butcher, and for the comments you left on this story.
  12. Thanks, Glennish. Let me first start with the new neighbor. Yes, that is someone that descended from Mount Olympus, specifically the Primordial God Eros, the god of love, procreation, and gay men for modern pagans. Since the first story, A New Life and a New Home, Erin Ros (Eros' disguise name) has been around in the background; though he didn't appear in the first story. Originally, Finding Eros in Florida was supposed to be a companion to New Life, but I didn't connect them. Then when I started to write My Son, which is in the same realm as the other two stories, Adam's paganism was more prominent. However, I scaled it back for that story. I mainly did this because I didn't know how readers would react to a Drama story, that had a supernatural influence as a modern Urban Fantasy. I decided, in this story, to put it back in, but it's still in the background, and wrote the short story A Talk With A Primordial God, as a way to let readers know that I was putting back into the story. Adam who's been a pagan since he was Jeremy's age, and a follower of Eros, has been given the gift of insight into the affairs of the heart. It comes off as a gut feeling, that is almost always right. His issue with Giles and Robert is that there's conflict in it, which is giving him doubt. Jeremy and his asexual orientation are based on my real-life friend. He's 27-years-old and still doesn't get the whole sexual attraction part, nor does he have a sex drive. He understands the concept of beauty and usually expresses it as "they are pleasing to the eyes," and feels that way about men and women. He has a girlfriend and has "romantic" feelings for her, but doesn't want to have sex. She pushes him all the time to do so. I could go on about the similarities. After doing research and a recent academic journal piece I read as part of a Uni assignment, that Asexual tendencies are tied to the Gay Gene (yes it's real and published in a peer-reviewed journal in Dec. 2017), and low Human Growth Hormone due to a condition in the Thyroid and/or Pituitary glands. HGH like Travis said above is tagged to a lot of Sexual Characteristics, both in the realm of orientation, and secondary body conditioning, such as body hair and appearances.
  13. Thanks, Wesley, for your support and comments throughout this story. That's the main issue that Travis has, but it was caused by the first assault when he was thirteen by Donald Driggs. He repressed the memory, and his mild agoraphobia manifested as a fear of teens his age-group, and large crowds. The Loss Prevention guy was a dick. I've been followed before, in International Plaza inside Neman Marcus, but never been detained. I've had friends who were detained, and it was because of profiling.
  14. Thanks, travlbug. I'm glad you enjoy this story. Call it my sappy side coming out, but I feel not all drama needs to be bad. Hope, Love, and Family has been an underlying theme to this story and will be for the next two planned books, and four shorts.
  15. Thursday morning, June 14, 2018, came hours later, to the sound of soft squeaking from the air mattress. Travis stirred and was the first to wake. His brain was slowly engaging, and he smiled seeing that Jeremy was still asleep laying on him. Huh? What’s going on? Travis lifted the covers some. Jeremy was still sleeping, but during the night his hand had drifted down into Travis’ boxers; he now held Travis’ hard-on in his hand. This is awkward… Travis reached down and gently grasped Jeremy’s
  16. A combination of different approaches. The Generator I use has place names as well http://www.fantasynamegenerators.com/ . If I'm looking for something more fantastical, I'll use that, or I'll take real-world names. Like I used Bucksnort, a city in Tennessee, as the name of a town for a non-GA story I did.
  17. I posted a link to a Fantasy Name Generator I use, and it got moved from here to the Forums. There's also a website called Behind the Name, which has names from around the world. I just pick a region and find one I like.
  18. Thanks, Daddy Dave. Adam and Duncan are the dads I would have loved to of had. Also if I ever get married to a great guy, I want to adopt kids, preferably teens, and Adam's style of parenting is how I would do it. EDIT: Yes, Adam is cock-blocking them. Mainly because of what Robert did after the custody case, and not asking permission for Giles to stay over that night. Also, see the link I posted in the comment to Glennish.
  19. Thank you for the comment, and reading, Glennish. Yes, Jeremy is getting better, with the exception of the Nightmares and a fear of flying now, because of Adam, Duncan, Rob, and the others. For Rob and Giles, I'm tempted to use my normal redacted break, but I'm in a non-spoiler but info-giving mood. More will be revealed about Robert and Giles in the next chapter that comes out tomorrow, and their relationship is discussed a lot in chapter 1, 2, 3 of the next book. Some minor spoilers for the series, but have a look at A Talk With A Primordial God. For Jill and Bryce... Have you been looking at my notes? LOL. Yes, there are plans for them.
  20. Thanks, Daddy Dave! Yes, I completely agree that there is a lot in this chapter. Originally, this chapter got to be so huge, when I split it down, it made chapters 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. After condensing and cutting out some fluff, I manage to shrink it down to a more manageable 3, 4, and 5. But they are each longer than what I normally do.
  21. Thanks, tim. Yeah, this one was supposed to have posted 6 hours later than it did, but I messed something up when I made an edit this morning. At least it posted 9 hours after the last chapter. Chapter 5 should launch tomorrow at 1:30 pm EST. If I did it right. 😕
  22. Congrats Carlos for a year of AAA. It's a great blog and one that has a lot of insight on various authors.
  23. There are several Downtown, Davis Islands, Channelside, Ybor, and Harbour Island I would love to buy and move in. I keep an eye on Zillow a lot.
  24. I like New Tampa and the Wesley Chapel area. Though I hate the traffic up there. Personally, I'm looking for a Condo Downtown, when I can afford it that is. So far, Skypoint on Ashley Street is winning my interest.
  25. Thanks for reading, Tony. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter.
