  1. We are all writers, and we've discussed before about "how we write." Today I want to discuss writing tools. Recently I download the Free Trial to Scrivener and have been testing it out. So far, so good and I like it. I also use MS Office Suite and recently was able to upgrade to Office2016. I also us a lot of Role-Playing aids to keep track of characters, and locations. You can find several free ones on DriveThruRPG.com. Online, I read writing articles, use google to look up words for both spelling and definition. There are many more like Name Generators, prompts, other random generators to help flesh out characters. So, what do you use?
  2. I think @Graeme said it best. The only thing I would add is to listen to your instinct about what to do. I've found that helps when you want to break things apart, or if you shouldn't.
  3. This was a fantastically written story about peer pressure, and standing up for your self. Excellent descriptions, and interesting characters.

    Chapter 1

Thanks for reading, D.K. Daniels. I've been tempted to do a companion piece for this story. Heaven's Redemption: The Nephilim. Perhaps on the next Newsletter game that @Cia does, I'll get a prompt that'll inspire it, or further this one.
  6. Funny that you mentioned Flea-Markets. It's not seen in the story, but going to Flea-Markets, Swap Meets, Farmer's Markets, and Yard Sales is something Adam and Duncan enjoy doing as a couple. For most of a chapter, in TC3 they are at one while Rob and Jer are home together. Currently, Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 are in the editing queue with @Kitt. Lord, I don't know how she does it. Working a hard full-time job, almost seven days a week, and then comes home to family. On top of all that she volunteers her time to edit, not only for me but for several others too. We all flooded her with submissions at the same time. Chapter 4 is about halfway done.

    Hammerhead 19

Sorry to hear about your brother, good luck, well wishes, and prayers for you and him.
  8. Like tim said, credit where credit is due. You, Xander, gave me a TON of places, and more information on some places that I didn't know. And I was born and raised here. LOL. Hmm, Beer Can Island. That's right there off of Harbour Island. Nah... I won't steal it from you. Though, I've toyed with talking about the "Men in the Mangroves," thing that happened along Gandy Beach. One of the public Gay Cruising sites, where people were arrested for public sex. Like Upper Tampa Bay Park is, but not with all the publicity.
  9. Thank you, Cia, and that topic does ring a bell.
  10. Excellent work, miss molly. Soon you'll have the Poet tag on your name.
  11. At one time, I saw a posting that went over the guidelines for writing, submitting, and the process overall for premium content. However, my search-fu is lacking this morning, and I can't seem to find it now. What are the guidelines for writing premium content for GA?

    In the Mirror

Fantastic poem, tim. I can see the visuals this is painting very clearly.

  15. Thanks, Chris. They are in the queue with others.
  16. A discussion thread for the third installment of the Tampa Chronicles. There was a request for a sneak peek of the two chapter currently in queue for editing. Chapter 2: Chapter 3:
  17. Was just a reaction, I didn't submit a written response. I don't like tieing up other Author's stories with regular conversation. However, I feel for you man, and I understand now what you said over on the Identify Thread.
  18. Thanks for reading, Agent Def. It gets better in chapter 2 and 3. I promise.
  19. Thanks. You're making me blush now. Jeremy's story technically ends on chapter 3, but I'm adding a fourth chapter to this book. I'm plotting out Book Four now and doing research. While most of the story will be in Tampa, FL, the family will be headed North to Boston and stopping in DC on the way back.
  20. LOL. You talked me into it. I'll find a partial scene I can post somewhere from Chapter 2 and Chapter 3.
  21. I know what you mean. There are a few I follow, I'm always checking to see if they've been updated. In this case, my 2nd editor got a flood of chapters from everyone she edits for at the same time. So, in the queue. I could post a sneak peek...
